This is my favorite gym in the area! I drive 15 min more than the closest PF next to me just to come to this location. The staff is super friendly, always greeting me. They just got all new equipment throughout the whole gym and even the restrooms look wayyy better. Definitely recommend checking them out. Massage chairs are amazing too!.

This location is annoying. I had to pay an annual fee and a monthly fee for October and everytime I come to the gym to shower the cleaning lady IS ALWAYS cleaning the womens side, for what I am paying, I should have access immediately for the services, or the cleaning lady needs to be more efficient or quicker with her cleaning routine. It's become a problem!!! Soon as my membership is done, I WILL NOT RENEW WITH THIS GYM!!!

If I could give zero stars, I would. This location openly discriminated against me and my federally protected service dog, and their management has yet to issue any apology or response despite my formal complaint.

When I checked in, the front desk employee, Selena M., told me my service dog could not accompany me onto the gym floor—even though she herself had previously “let it slide” a few weeks earlier. I calmly explained that my dog is a trained service animal protected under federal law. Selena said her manager, Amy G., claimed their “policy” prohibits service dogs on the floor. That is false and directly violates the ADA as well as Planet Fitness’s own posted service animal policy, which explicitly states service dogs are permitted both in the facility and on the gym floor.

I further explained the law and even showed her the Planet Fitness website policy. Instead of following the law, she demanded to see “papers” proving my dog was a service dog—which is not only unnecessary but illegal to ask for. Under ADA, staff are only allowed to ask two questions. I repeated those questions and provided documentation anyway, including my dog’s official U.S. Department of Transportation certification for airline travel. She then tried to claim my paperwork was “expired” (it was not) before finally saying she would “let it slide.”

This was not a favor. This was blatant discrimination and harassment against a disabled member exercising my rights under federal law.

I was livid, but I still completed a brief workout while simultaneously filing a complaint through Planet Fitness’s official website. Weeks later, I have received no call, no email, and no apology from either the manager or corporate. The complete lack of accountability from this franchise is shameful.

If you are disabled, have a service animal, or simply value basic human rights and lawful treatment, I strongly advise you to avoid this location. Planet Fitness brands itself as a “Judgement Free Zone,” but my experience at Katella proves otherwise—it is anything but.

I’m visiting for two weeks and wanted to visit PF while I’m here. This location feels run down as soon as you enter it. Dirty. Smells. Machines broken. Drink fridge had 2 rows of drinks so 80% empty. Mats torn to shreds. Holes in the seats and benches. No greeting from staff upon entry. This place looks so haphazardly put together. Will be trying other locations while I’m here and I’ll hope for the best. Won’t return.

Very disappointed in the management of this location, it is dirty and alot of broken, or equipments that are old and needs to be replaced, sanitizerz are emptied, there's also a leak and some pile of water around one of the machine, this is from today, I've seen this before many times, same issues no solution, it's getting worse, please do something, change your management or train your employees on how to maintain cleanliness, restocking and refilling paper towels and hand sanitizers.

Staff was friendly and easy going.
It wasn't too busy during peak morning times (7-8am); which was good because a good amount of the treadmills were out of order.

If you plan on using the lockers, it's a bring your own lock situation. Don't come unprepared!
Showers are decent. Never a wait for them. One of them was missing a shower head. 😂

Overall, good experience for my brief stay in Anaheim. Would go to again.

I’ve been a loyal customer for planet fitness with my Black Card membership for over five years. I never had any issues with any location at all.
I’ve been super happy with all of the locations everywhere I go around Orange County until today .
I went to this location down in Katella and Euclid planet fitness
I was enjoying my my workout and I went to the 30 minute workout area and I was about to start my workout in one of the machine, the next thing I know some old lady approached me and she asked me if I was already done with the equipment and I told her I just got it and she asked me how long you think you’re gonna be using it and I said probably 10 to 15 minutes!!! and she’s like I thought you wasn’t using the machine because I saw you on your phone and I said no I’m about to play my favorite music to enjoy my workout and she’s like OK I’ll be watching you because I want to use the machine and I said OK,
The next thing I know one of the employees from the front desk approach me it was a girl. I don’t remember her name. She was really rude. She came and told me that I can’t be using the equipment for more than 10-15 minutes that I have to keep rotating machines and she also mentioned if don’t comply or obey about what she was saying, she was gonna call the manager or she was gonna call somebody to escort me out of their location and I was like are you serious about this??? anyways I ended up to switch machine and it was really embarrassing, What she told me the way she said it in front of the other members around and obviously once I’m done with my leg workout, I went to the front desk and I asked to speak to the manager because the way she handled it.
It was completely rude just because somebody wanted to have my machine and I wasn’t not even there for 15 minutes on that machine. I know there is more machines around that the old lady could use instead of being harassing me for over 15 minutes that I was using the machine completely wrong.

I am completely upset with this location like I said I’m a member of Planet Fitness for over five years. Never had any issues with anybody, but I feel like the manager should be there in person or in training the new employees the right way to handle things with the customers this is not how you treat old customers especially the one that has been in Planet Fitness since they started the business.

I am very upset with this location. Hopefully someone come up with something. I really don’t like the way they handle things not even the manager she was completely unprofessional when I speak to her over the phone.
Even the employee the girl the way she handled the situation that was completely wrong and ruthless.
Like I said, I love Planet Fitness. I never had any issues with none of the locations I just like to go and do my workout just because somebody wanted to use the machine that I had. The good thing about this place is it’s close to me, the staff is always nice, and I do like coming here. The only issue I have is that the machines are always broken. It’s been weeks and they don’t even bother fixing it. At this point we are all going to be sharing one machine. gym is decent and great workers always been friendly. but literally so many machines are out of order and have been like this for weeks… water faucet is out of order. 3-4 machines are out of order as soon as you walk in. some seats are ripped and uncomfortable sitting down and equipment is not maintenanced. seems like no one from headquarters is paying attention to this location because other locations don’t have this problem at all. walked in and literally thought it was a yard sale based on all the machines just not being used because it’s out of order..

3* for the morning workout. Since I cone early don't have to worry to much about going to a area but even then a good amount is unusable. 5 clips missing at the pulley area. Two pulleys are completely not working and one has been out for over two weeks. Couple machines too are down. About quarter of treadmills are down. Staff is awesome though. Not their fault but it's just sad to see. If I was coming in the afternoon where I assume busier and i couldn't do my workouts it be less stars.

I had a lock in my locker and the lock was broken due to the way their lockers are designed. All my items were stolen. The staff made no effort to try and help. I was told that "this has happened four times this week," as if it was no big deal. I know they're not responsible for stolen property, but at least this location could act like they care and try to prevent this from happening again to others. And yes, I did file a police report. If you're reading this and you plan on going to this location, do not put anything in your locker, even if you have a lock.

Somebody broke into my locker and stole my wallet, albeit that was my fault, the entire team made ZERO effort to help me to at least check the camera. All they ever did was write down my info to a piece of paper, put it on a shelf "for the manager" and called it a day. Everyday after that I went in and check and nobody was actually doing anything, the manager was impossible to find, the staffs ignored my distress and told me there's nothing they can do. After a few days my request to check the camera magically disappeared and everyone acted like they haven't seen me or heard about my case before.

Replacing all of my IDs and cards would take less energy than waiting for them to do anything. Good luck asking for help unless it's about giving your money to them I guess.

No offense but the first person I meet at the location was a new purse on her like third day there by herself and her manager just left. So she wasn't able to assist me at first but she was able to call them and found out that insurance program is only with certain locations franchises participating but not all of them. This one did not, but she told me if you get the black card then you can come here. Of course my insurance link is the basic so I'm not going to pay higher for black card to go to a club it doesn't even have pain Jacuzzi or steam room or sauna. See it was a tiny little facility compared to all the other gyms I've gone to. That's why you paid $5 a month.

Very disappointed today. I rarely come to this gym because of all the teens. The teens weren’t wiping down the equipment they were using is discussing. I was trying to tan 20mins tell closing. They already closed the registers and had the tanning closed. Brandon seems to always be in a mood when I come to this gym. Today took the cake if you don’t close for 20mins than don’t close your register tell you’re closed.

Bad service, I was trying to apply my child to the summer free pass and my child called me to ask me to go and drive over and the Asian guy in the front was giving off a rude attitude throughout the whole time, and he was not lenient when my child waited and I nicely asked if I could sign it and he said no we are closing. I remember there being another staff there before that was more chill and low-key. He gave off good energy but the scrawny Asian guy was overall just rude and I feel overall the employee should be checked out. My child always complains about how that employee is not good and is rude. I feel that you guys should pick better employees while looking into hiring them to be more outgoing and give off good energy because it overall sets a bad view of the establishment. I think the employee with the bad customer service was Brandon if he was a Asian tall scrawny guy if not then just know it was an Asian Scrawny tall guy at the front desk. I hope you address this or give me a way to address this employee and give him a warning for his terrible attitude.

Where do I begin???? This planet fitness has some real issues. I have been a member for about a month now and I must say I am very disappointed with this location. There has been 1 usable stall in the women's restroom for the duration of my membership. There are several machines in the circuit training that have been out of service for the duration. The staff has been both terrible and great. When I came in with a friend who also got a membership, Brandon and his HORRIBLE customer service would not assist us. He was helping someone sign in and he proceeded to ignore me, aside from when he told me my friend could not use the 1 stall bathroom unless she was a member. When I informed him I was there to get a membership, he didn't offer to help, just continued to repeat that the bathroom is only for members and she couldn't use it. He proceeded to ignore every other request for assistance until 15 min prior to closing, I was at the counter for 45 minutes, and was informed he could only enroll one of us due to the time. I ended up enrolling on my own online. Chris on the other hand was extremely helpful when my friend and I returned to the location and gave us a verbal tour and pointed out some very helpful information. Brandon, I don't know if he treated me the way he did due to me being black, a woman, both or neither, but he REALLY needs to learn how to treat people like people, common decency. He also initially refused to tell me his name due to me informing him that I would be reaching out to management about my experience. Please do better!

I really liked the gym at first. It was a nice place where you could workout in peace. Then one day as I was leaving someone spit on me. I told the person at the front desk. I gave a written statement and they had cameras. After a few days I asked about the outcome. They asked for another statement so they could tell the manager. They did nothing about me being assaulted outside their gym. Even with the cameras and knowing the time, they did absolutely nothing about the other member who spit on me. Not only has most of the employees there been rude and obnoxious but their machines do not work. It has been a month and still no repairs have been made. Don’t waste your money at this location. The management at the one on Bristol is a lot more efficient and actually care about their staff and clients. If you do not like what I have to say then train your staff to be courteous and helpful, and pay attention to the equipment repairs.

For 10.00 a month it's fine. I don't go very often due to my personal schedule, but when I do, it's always fairly busy (unless you're there right at opening).
The equipment is a 7/10 (it's clean and it works, but it's nothing to write home about).
There is no sauna in the locker rooms, which is a bummer, but I believe that's normal for a planet fittness.
The staff is usually very friendly, so that's a big plus. My interactions have always been pleasant.
All in all, you get what you pay for, so this is fine for a budget gym.

I recently discovered that this gym had been charging me 25.00 a month for their black card status. A few months ago, I had gone in to drop my membership to the regular 10.00 monthly membership.
I went in last week to cancel (as I'm moving to a new gym near my office) and made mention of this to the front staff.
They said it was never changed or noted that I wanted to change the membership. (What did I sign for 5ish months ago then?!) My word against theirs so there was nothing they could do. (Not that employees fault).
Just watch out because that was roughly 5 months in an extra 15.00 they'd been charging me that I can't get back.

It is average compared to other PFs. The lockerrooms and bathrooms are big, and they have showers. Most noticeable, there are a lot of cardio machines, but also have weight lifters and dumbells. The only problem is some of the machines' paint have ripped off and the rubber pieces are missing/broken. Cleaning stations are located throughout.

I have been a member for over 5 years. I finally cancelled my membership. Managers are all fake here. Fake smile and do not care. Machines are always broken and showers have cold water and shower heads are always missing. What caused me to cancel my membership was I got a late fee charge of $25 and I never get charged that since I have huge credit limit. I asked her to reverse the late charge since perhaps credit card expired or something. She said I don't know but you have to pay. Her lack of caring caused me to call it quits.

I went into take a shower. The water and cold for 1 full minute. Then it began to slowly warm up. I went into the restroom stall to get some tissue paper, and the toilet had not been flushed and was full of you know.... The irony is the same way the last time I visited. It was pretty disgusting. I have an electric razor and they have removed the electrical outlet adjacent to the sinks. I haven't been very impressed with my last two visits. This is why I lowered my star rating. Not sure what's going on at this location on Katella in Anaheim.

Here's an update for October 5th 2019. Now PF decided to remodel the women's and men's restrooms. So you can work out but you cañnot take a shower for at least 3 weeks to a month. I asked him if I can go to another planet fitness during this time. They said if you're not one of the black card members. You will have to pay $5 to use their showers and work out there. Isn't that just GRAND... Not so much.

The televisions don’t connect to sound, there is basically NO hot water at night. It’s pretty small. Workers are rude. If they know there is no hot water they should give you a heads up. Worst one I’ve been to I’ll drive an extra 10 minutes to go to a better PF.

This place is NOT open 24 HRS!!!

The should say: "Open 23 Hours...only 4 days a week"

The sign on the front door says "Open 24 hrs Mon- Thurs"
A SECOND sign (with tape) up on another window panel says "Closed from 2am to 3am...Disinfecting..."
B.S. WHATEVER they just need the guy at the front to clean the back

So after a late dinner with a friend...and a late workout...I am confronted by an employee trying to rush me out without a shower

The gentleman working in the morning was extremely rude I came in and was denied entry he gave me such a hard time I even showed him my bank statements showing I had recently been charged. He even gave the rep from my home gym a hard time. I will never come back to this gym. He tried to embarrass me and made me feel very uncomfortable.

Everything was fine until they open the $0 membership for teens that ended up overcrowding the. Gym. Some of these kids are not working out they just come in and hang out, they are always like 5 kids to one piece of equipment and sometimes those kids crowd your workout space!!! It was a terrible idea to allow so many kids onto the gym!

This PF is just okay. The cushions on some machines are torn and some cardio machines don’t have cup holders. I like doing the 30 minute circuit but none of the machines are numbered so people go into the area and use the equipment as they please preventing people that want to do the circuit from doing it properly. The circuit rules aren’t posted either.

REALLY BAD Customer service from Stephanie (not sure if she lied) she has half head blond or highlight .. Staff is nice enough. I've heard horror stories about overactive lunk alarms, but this one seems okay. Seems pretty clean, too (though I haven't been into the locker rooms or restrooms)

Heads up tho: this is probably intentional per their "no-intimidation" environment, but barbells only go up to 60 lbs, dumbbells only go up to 75 lbs, no plate-loaded seated calf-raise machines, no preacher curl bench, only one plate-loaded leg press machine, and the only form of plate-loaded barbells are the Smith machine (tho they have like 4 or 5). If I were to nitpick, I'd also say they could stand to swap out a few treadmills for a few stair machines because I usually see plenty of unoccupied treadmills (even only considering the social-distanced ones) but the stair machines seem hard to get to if it's even a little busy.

This planet fitness has more equipment then the usual ones which isn't much of a compliment because most are very limited. I give two stars because the tall Asian kid in the counter is a giant dirt bag. I've gone to other lacking planet fitnesses that I much prefer because they are much nicer. Guy doesn't know how to act even though he's probably getting paid the minimum wage.
