I normally go at noon or 4AM depending on my schedule and it’s not so packed. I see comments on the front desk not saying hi or bye and that’s literally not a problem for me idk see why it’s an issue to others lol. They are very nice and smile when u need help, so idk what the issue is. I’ve only see 1 machine down for about 2 weeks but there were others so that’s no issue. I like this gym and it stays clean in my opinion. Just go do ur workout and go on bout ur day. I just removed 1 star bcus i went one time at 8:30PM and NEVER AGAIN. It was so packed i was stuck in a corner, and it was mostly people in groups just taking up space. Never again. But beside that, no issues.

night crew staff is the absolute best and run a tight program. but from the times of 2pm - 6:30pm the gym is poor quality….kids vaping inside and so many highschoolers here taking up the machines not doing anything. the summer promotion has actively hurt the experience for myself and other members that i attend with. i would like to speak to a higher up or general manager. not only to address the great job that graveyard shift is doing but for the errors in other areas of the gym and parts of the day.

Black card member here and I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this location. Instead of feeling good being at the gym it’s frustrating being there. The 30 minute circuit does not exist here due to teenagers and grown adults take up the machines to sit there falling asleep and or on their phone. I have tried to workout and grown adults linger on the machine for more than 30 minutes taking selfies or on their phone. They must not have a life to get back too because there is no urgency. I doubt they are actually losing weight based on their heart rate at rest mode the entire time. While this place is no judgement zone, I am judging the staff and corporate management. I’m tired of it. I just want a place to workout at for what I paid for. I complained to the staff and was given the corporate number which I called and left a message. I want out of the membership and a refund.

The short general manager Mathew is so unprofessional when it comes to members he never does nothing when we complain and basically throws his members to the side dirty facility the assistant general managers are really rude and they don’t know there own member ship policy my mom and I BOTH have the black card and she asked if she can go to a different facility and they were really rude telling her that she can’t go to other facilities I had too call other planet fitness to confirm that she can go to other facilities. We’ve been with them for a year and complain about machines not Getting fixed and the general manager just doesn’t do nothing about it they clean and leave piles of towels on the side and it sits there for almost my entire workout which is about 3 hours do better planet fitness on niles get a different general manager that actually does his job and is professional he’s making this facility go downhill fast.

The men’s bathroom is neglected, and is falling apart. Doesn’t seem like anybody comes in here and maintains it.

Or they should take a training class and go visit the other locations like Airport or california Because those employees know how to make people feel welcomed! Even if your on a guest pass! Here at niles they literally give you the 3rd degree on your level of membership what you can and cant do or you cant enter their facility unless you draw Blood and sign your life away to the devil! I like the gym because it’s open late, but avoid working out here over the summer. Planet fitness allows teenagers to “workout” for free, but instead these kids are running around occupying valuable space, horsing around, and trashing the gym. They congregate in groups of 5’s and 10’s and like to start “shit!” To all adults whom value your time, go elsewhere!!!

The staff is great. They do their job and are kind to their members.
The issue is the lack of urgency either with management, upper management, or the company in general in maintaining the equipment and getting it fixed in a timely manner.
This location is convenient because its really close to home, but when 6 out of 8 stairmasters are broken (2 being broken for months and 3 for weeks) it's hard to for members who use that equipment to get their workout going.
Treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, and weight machines are also regularly busted.
Again, the staff at the location is great and always friendly and willing to help, but it seems as though whoever runs this club is letting it fail without a care because there's no reason it should take months or weeks for equipment to be fixed.

worst experience I've had at a Planet Fitness to date, I've been to 3 in Bakersfield and up North in Bay area.

extremely warm in the gym, as if no A/C was running, they did have the front door open. although the womens bathroom was cool(wife went in).

staff were not eager to help. one row of treadmills worked, asked gentleman working why, and he said they were being cleaned. clearly, they were done cleaning, but no attempt to plug anything back in for the patrons to use the equipment.

would rather drive an hour to anyother Planet Fitness than go back to this one. I will probably be writing to the Corporate Office, as other reviews from before address some of the same issues, and apparently nothing ia being done.

This gym is ok. The only problem I have with it other than it’s always jam packed is that the Water Fountain is always broken with Warm water and the bathrooms weren’t working today. How can you run a business with the bathrooms of the gym being out of order? The gym is also always missing attachments to machines. Whoever is managing the place needs to do a better job. Just because the place is located in the east side shouldn’t mean that we should just settle for a poorly ran gym. That place needs to run at higher standards. Each time I go into this place there’s always something not working properly or missing.

The gym itself is 5 stars. The staff however is what gets the low rating. The staff is unhelpful and rude. When you ask them a question they make you feel as though your an inconvenience. I accidentally left my phone there on a piece of equipment. I called to see if I did in fact leave it there and so I called. I asked the lady if anyone turned in a phone and she said I don’t think so. I asked if she could look on the last piece of equipment I used and she put me on hold for almost five minutes. I finally had enough as my anxiety was through the roof. I hung up and went back. I asked the ladies at the front desk again if anyone turned in a phone. They said I don’t think so again. I asked if they would look and they both huffed and rolled their eyes and started open and closing drawers. I was so irritated at this point for their lack of help and caring I asked if I can look in the gym myself. One waved their hand like go ahead. They were more interested in gossiping over helping a customer as their job entails. Luckily with no help from them I found my phone. I will not be going back to this location.

I really like coming to this location but the only complaint that I have is that when all the high schoolers are there they like to stand around in groups and “hang out” at the equipment even if it not being used. It makes it hard for other people to use the equipment. It gets super annoying and is such an inconvenience. They leave their dirty paper towels around too. Many don't even clean the machines after use (if they even use it). I’ve seen teenagers kissing each other when one is sitting on the equipment and they aren’t even using it to work out.

Will never ever sign up for this place I ride my Harley to the gym on occasion during this nice Cali weather and norma the manger told me I can’t leave my helmet at the back desk I leave it due to theft it’s not that difficult to leave my helmet at the back desk. I left it there mulitiple times before at the Nile’s location Cali location white lane location in Bakersfield I will never ever return to planet Norma was rude and didn’t give a explanation I stated I leave my helmet there many times before no issues so I told Norma ok since I can’t leave my Harley helmet at the back desk like many times before I’ll cancel my service she stated ok whatever that’s fine with me have a good day so rude thanks Norma
