Bathrooms are VERY GTOSS AND DIRTY. I have brought issue up to employees at front desk multiple times and they just say “ok, thank you” and bathrooms are getting worse. I am not exaggerating. You can look at them for yourself especially in the AM. 3/4 of the step masters do not work and one of the TVs has been frozen with same image for months!

Honestly, my experience with Planet Fitness was very disappointing. The staff member we dealt with was rude and showed no interest in customer service or helping us. I just wanted to try the gym for a day or two, but they didn’t give us any opportunity to do so. Even worse, they asked us to pay $21 for only one day. This is unreasonable and unprofessional. I would not recommend this place at all — they should treat people with more respect and professionalism

Last time I came in here, the place smelled like death. Like someone had an accident... or one of the workers forgot what a window is. It was so bad, even my stink was offended—and that never happens. Someone’s clearly not cleanin’ this gym. It’s a biohazard. I’ve seen cleaner dumpsters.

Equipment broken for multiple months after reporting an issue. Everytime coming back another equipment is broken and haven't done anything about it for a long time. Because so much is broken waiting for a long time.

Everyone in the gym is too warm especially because every9ne is doing cardio. I've asked management to lower the temperature and they said they can but they refuse to despite it being 110F outside. Management completely doesnt care about the happiness of their gym members.

this gym is very poorly maintained. machines are broken, and the ones that do work sounds like they’re about to break making creaking sounds when they’re turned on. in the 30 minute circuit people constantly take machines and just sit there on their phones. plenty of times i saw some dudes do the arm workout for a couple of reps then stop and just be on their phone. i did an hour workout before i wanted to go do the circuit and the same guy was on the same machine even with a sign saying the area is “closely monitored by staff”. They rarely refill disinfectant bottles or the towels at night, making the gym dirty and unsanitary.

Even with the poorly maintained gym the staff are total jerks. When purchasing something they gave off attitude like they hated their jobs. Especially the night staff, the morning staff seem pleasant. I’m not sure who to raise concerns with because i truly believe the staff here hate being here. The PF in other areas had staff constantly walking around, cleaning, refilling bottles, and being in a happy mood even at 1am. At this PF they all hate being there and won’t clean, not even the bathrooms!

The gym is really hot despite being in the middle of bakersfield in the heat. Everyone in the gym wants it colder and they have the ability to change it but refuse to. The saddest part is everyone who works out here could get much more fitness out of the time they spent here if the temp was colder. I’ve been coming to this gym since they opened and in the beginning they used to be very clean and kept up with maintenance but now the bathrooms are disgustingly dirty and unkept. I’m not sure if it’s a training issue or if it’s just the employees being lazy but those bathrooms haven’t been properly cleaned in months. Their employees used to be super nice but now they seem to have attitudes most of the time. It’s a shame because I used to enjoy coming to this gym and now it seems to be falling apart.

Had the Worst Planet fitness management team experience! My Account was subscribed twice! And all they could do is say they’d call back or for me to take time out of my day to cancel a membership I never agreed to. I would like to give 5 stars for the wonderful cleanliness of this gym, the staff does an amazing job cleaning and tidying up. I am rather upset though with the front desk. I have the black card membership, after I work out I like to utilize those services. It's extremely difficult at times to get checked in to go use the tanning rooms or massage chair because there's only 1 person working the desk and people have to wait if they are on the phone or having a lengthty conversation with another guest. I finally had to just walk out after waiting 13 mins at the counter today....Instead of putting the customer on hold for a minute or so, waiting on the 5 or 6 customers that had been standing and waiting at the check in counter he continued with his call and ignored us. I just feel this is uncalled for and the front desk should have at least 2 people. Also, it would be a good policy to wait on customers in the gym first then answer phones!

Way too many people here. Good luck finding a machine to work out on during peak hours. It’s ridiculous that people have to wait in line 20 minutes just to use a smith machine. It’s so full, they should cap memberships. They also need to at least double the amount of paper towel stations. Avoid at all costs during peak hours. You won’t get in a productive workout otherwise. Oh, and they have missing pins for several machines which only means less equipment to serve the copious amounts of people.

I have made another review on this club but I felt I needed to make this one after what I have experienced this last week/weekend!
I spoke with someone Wednesday or thursday afternoon I think Alissa she was very helpful and very sweet, she helped me with the app and with a missed payment on my app and showed me how I can pay there but sometimes it doesn’t pop up and even helped me with a different app I didn’t understand God bless her I don’t have any kids in my nest no longer and she treated me with such daughter instinct it made me feel welcom 5 stars for her !
Sunday morning I again need more assistance but with a machine and the man up front matheo explained how they work and even pointed my app has feature to help me too and helped me find one for the machine I was at showed me the square block for my camera very sweet man he deserves 5 stars too he should be their face of front desk!

I come in with my mother when I visit she loves this gym the machines are perfect for her we come after we eat lonche across the way at one to two afternoon I check myself in and then her but she walks slowly so I wait for her by cardio she is walking in and the tall guy I had just checked in with stops her and asks her in Spanish if she is crazy to walk in without scanning? And if she can afford the membership!Who speaks to members this way especially so loudly!!! She pointed at me and he realized it was my mother and he rolled his eyes and shooed us away! He is always so rude when we come in and he is here it makes me not want to go in anymore. He doesn’t have good customer service they should make him scrub toilets instead!
I complained the next morning on a phone call but never received any call back from anyone even though the girl said she would tell someone to call me.
I now live out of town and only visiting my parents for the holidays , but if that employee still works here I will not return at all I feel so sad when I come in and he exists

I’ve been a member at Planet Fitness for a while, but I’m frustrated with how poorly they maintain their equipment. For nearly a month, at least half of the stair machines have been out of service, and with how many memberships they sell, the gym is already too crowded. The wifi here is terrible.

Spoke with a worker at the desk and it seems to be a common problem, but somehow it has not been addressed. very inconvenient especially since it is listed one of the amenities.

Made Ashe location my home location but have found the need to visit the other locations due to this issue. I like to catch up on emails and social media while on the treadmill but can’t seem to connect to the wifi here and my service is garbage once I come through the doors. I only come here when I do upper body, the machines tend to be more available than at the other locations.

This is probably one of the most hypocritical and racist places i have ever worked out. How do you have a sign-up that says, "No judgment zone" while commenting on people who are, what was the word they use? "LUNK ALERT"? who is a "LUNK"? 6/18/24 update...just went in to renew my membership and I was told by the Manager Ayla Drennan, and I quote, "You are no longer welcome here!". I asked her why and she said my membership had been canceled due to a policy violation. When I asked her what policy did I violate she refused to tell me. She said it was in the email that I was sent in August of 2023. 😆 never got it until today. Does not say what policy I violated. I have a recording of the conversation in case she lies anymore. Also have documents. Of course they will not give me any contact info on owners or upper management.

Went in for the first time today since the pandemic and moving for my job, Justin was the instructor and he was super nice! I attended the 360 strength class and let's just say I did not walk out the same way I walked in lol. Terrible! I was there 2 hours ago and someone broke my lock and stole my purse with my belongings plus money, I talked to the manager, and she said that unfortunately there's nothing they can do about it, and it's being happening at this location frequently..how come ? Is my question..Someone who works there must to be doing this because they are the only ones who can break the locks easily, how do I know? Because a month ago I left my lock key inside the locker, and one of the planet fitness employees , helped me to break it with a thing they have by the counter to break up the lock , she did it to fast, and another question how come nobody saw anything? There's always girls coming and out of the restrooms, I'm sure they did it during cleaning up time, I'm canceling my membership card , so sad This gym needs to change the manager, and a couple workers .

I recently got a membership here with my sister and we were unimpressed. We ended up cancelling our membership. The meter that measures how busy the gym is was 3 bars only so we went and it was super packed. Most of the treadmills were full and all the equipment was being used. The meter should have been full not 3 lines. On top of that the bathrooms were peed all over in the women’s bathroom and there was toilet paper all over the floor. There was dust flying all over the gym whenever we were looking for machines.
The wifi did not work at all. The guy that signed us up for the gym had promised us that if there was no signal on our phones that their wifi was excellent which it was not.
One of the staff members also got bothered because we asked about the massage chairs he acted like we were bothering him.We were not even rude or anything. I think it was the best decision to make to just cancel because we were not going to pay for bad service and a bad gym that doesn’t offer the promised amenities.

Came to visit from Ann Arbor Michigan, had I lived here I would not choose to go here. It seems like that don’t believe in using the air conditioning or don’t want to turn it up. Feels like I was in a hot box unless I was in a good spot under the fan. Iv gone at 7am and it was over packed, I could not get all my routine in, lots of people on their phones or just sitting on equipment. 10:15pm was slightly better, but still could not get an effective work out. The equipment for abdominal seems to need to be replaced or re adjusted, same thing for some back equipment. There is way too many cardio machines. It is a decent size but they could have added other machines. Unfortunately the other gym is 17 mins away from me, and I am desperate to get a work out so I have to deal with it for now. I would not recommend this place to people due to it being crowded already.

By far the most horrendous experience I have ever had with a gym. I wish I could give them ZERO stars. It honestly almost brings me to tears how upset I am with this establishment. How can staff be so comfortable with taking people's money and doing shady things to keep charging you monthly?
I tried to cancel this membership in January. They sent me auto renewal fees late which caused my bank account to overdraft and I wasn't able to get a refund because the auto renewal date was almost week before I even got charged! When I asked the manager how I can get help with a refund she said I could fill out something online and all customer service would do was direct me back to their facility. So how does anything get resolved when you have incompetent staff and a good for nothing customer service team?? Please keep reading.

Fans are inadequate and I had to step outside several times to cool down. On the plus side watching an employee give unsolicited workout advice ("this is the best way to do pullups") to a chick with more muscles than him was good for a laugh.

The showers don't merit the name. It's not enough water to put out a medium-sized campfire. Literally and without exaggeration, I'm pretty sure liquid flows from my bladder to the outside world at a higher throughput than those showerheads.

This is a decent gym to go to its cheap and affordable however not much machines and always packed however the 24 hr open is what gives it 4 stars
