I love my planet fitness membership but this location not being 24-7 really is a pain. The whole point of a planet fitness memebership is you can go to multiple locations 24-7, except.in camarillo. The one I go to is closed right now due to construction. They really need to fix this! I was even planning on coming her more often to this location. It.should be 24-7 guys! No telling how often this happens. I never complaints or bad reviews, but this messed up my whole night and future plans since I work in the area.

Traveling to Camarillo CA from East Coast called ahead to inquire about facility and Pedro was most informative taking time to ensure I knew what amenities were at the location but also gave me local areas of interest and ensured I’d love the area as he had grown up there. Absolutely a wonderful interaction. Once there I was met every day by a helpful attendant who ensured I had access to the areas of my interest. The facility was clean and a joy to utilize. My only concern was that the water fountain had a malfunction and for a fitness facility water is so essential but Humberto the manager ensured they were doing all they could to correct the issue Otherwise I genuinely enjoyed the entire experience..if ever back in the area won’t hesitate to utilize this facility

Updating my review. 4 stars because some things could be better. The 30min circuit is continuously being used by people not doing the circuit. It says it is monitored but it isn't.

I just moved into the area gave them a call and they said come on in and we will give you a trial pass for a few days to see if you like the gym.

Their weekly hours of operation are so extensive that they'll easily complement anyones personal or work schedule.

They have all the freeweights and workout machine equipment you're looking for to help you exercise/train every body part.

They've done a great job at choosing their staff too.

The concept of "Excellent Attitude" is almost an understatement when comes to describing them. Their people are always professional, upbeat, and very encouraging.

Something that's majorly important to any gym goer is cleanliness.

Well they're always cleaning.
And they display an obvious sense of pride on their part doing it too, because you'll always see these guys wiping done the equipment and keeping their gym germ free.

This location offers massage chairs and hydro beds to help you relax after an intense workout or if you just need to destress from a rough day at work.

Then, to help bring back that youthful glow to your skin for those with a busy lifestyle they also have several tanning rooms.

They even have the new age Red light booth therapy to help with your skins rejuvenation.

Ofcourse they have the typical his & hers lockerrooms with shower facilities. So you can store your gear and clean up as needed.

No, there's not a pool nor a jacuzzi but with all those other features and amenities in place this gym still gets an "A+" rating in my opinion.

Last, from my experience going here I have found my fellow gym goers at this location have been both curtious and sharing. And everyone seems to be focused and friendly.

My Black Card membership is useless here because both their Hydromassage and Massage Chairs only have one available of each kind. So there's always someone using it when I'm there. It's been months it's been broken. At least from what I'm informed with.

Also, the lighting on this gym versus other branches is "darker". Please make it slightly brighter please, that would be greatly appreciated.

Staff also isn't as friendly compared to others and they seem like "they hate their job".

Definitely the worst branch I've been at overall, compared to other PF.

Please fix your Hydromassage and Massage chairs.

I was told the maintenance guy feels "defeated" because he can't figure out how to fix the massage chairs / hydromassage. With the technology we have in our hands, I'm sure he can utilize that to help him fix it or this branch should buy a new one asap.

Love this gym. It's always clean, it has all the machines and is never overly crowded, and the atmosphere is comfortable. No one is watching anyone else, they are focused on working out. I love the massage chairs, especially the hydromassage chairs, they have tanning rooms as well as fitness classes. The staff is super helpful and super friendly. It's worth every penny. Mostly have found this gym to be one of the best in Camarillo. My only complaint are the customers who tie up 2-3 at a time machines making it almost impossible for anyone else to use them at certain times of the day. In that same vain some will set at a machine for 15 to 20 minutes, not using it for the intended purpose, but checking their phones or even taking calls, texting, etc.. very disrespectful. Maybe some reminders as you come in the door?

Inflexible staff refused guest pass for friend when I showed I had the black card membership. Said signing in is store policy while people walked behind me without signing in. At fitness 19 (my friends gym) he said he was bringing in a guest and they just let me walk right in. Needless to say I go there now. Just plain embarrassing.

When using my membership out of town, my experience was hit and miss (literally 50/50), which caused me to cancel my membership, but because I was not near my home town gym at the time of cancelation, it was a hassle, meaning a trip to the post office and a certified letter fee to cancel my membership. They did, however, cancel my membership as soon as they received the letter, but I had to contact them weeks later to confirm the cancelation and ask for a cancelation verification letter.

This was by far the worst. Tall paler complected and and other working tonight, did what I’ve had done at others, coincidentally they are coming from utilities rooms just as I’m about to rinse after gym activity… and the hot water has mysteriously been shut off, not coincidentally, or it takes a while etc.. it’s intentional which does stand to make me ask, what kind of remarks has someone left or special instructions for my account?… (staff)… normally I’d even still kind of laugh that off except tonight, talk pale one, threw away an expensive sweater I’d left in the locker #18 I’d used moments before… and it was from a grandmother and that’s not me fabricating for dramatic affect either… and yea, he did so intentionally… I’d like to know what will be done in regarding this because I will blast it everywhere if ignored.

Just joined planet fitness to continue healing from a broken hip. I can’t believe how clean everything is and enough machines for everyone. I am very happy with everything. When in pain u just want to complete your workout and go home to rest. They also have personal trainers if u need them. A wonderful gym to call home away from home.

During the day it does get really busy, but I do love going late in the evening. It's pretty quiet and I can do my thing without feeling like I need to hurry up so someone else can use whatever I'm using. It's still compliant with keeping everything clean and everyone is conscientious of cleaning equipment after use. One draw back is there is no trainer yet and since they haven't had one in awhile, once they get one, that trainer will be very busy. The plus is if your determined to get a regiment going, they have plenty of signs and explanations with tutorials to help guide you.

No hot water for about 3 weeks,

Apparently there's no manager when I do my exercise, but it has been brought to the stuff attention, as of today, the wifi is still not working, over a month without it!!! There's 4 showers there, one of them has been broken for almost 2 months!!
