The gym and restrooms are usually very clean. I've never noticed any broken equipment. All the machines are well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful and you can't beat the price.

signing up for planet fitness was so goddamn easy. no pushy sales. It's EXTREMELY straight forward. Amazing.As far as equipment, they cover a lot of the basics. But that's mostly it. Basics. If you're like me and you know what workouts you wanna do and you're not an advanced lifter, you have about 80-90% of what you need. treadmills don't have their own TVs. but they have incline and they have speed. Done. at first, i thought candy at the front desk seemed strange, but the little boost of sugar pre workout is cool. and a little boost of sugar post workout when blood sugar is low is great. weights are limited. but my workout routine is designed to get me to push to failure and i'm not a power lifter. IF YOU ARE A POWER LIFTER, my deepest apologies, this ain't for you. Free weights are limited. they don't have any olympic bar bells. All plates go on machines and/or smith machines. At Carson, CA; their water actually tastes filtered. I always top off before I leave. The other one in Carson on Lomita is smaller so less equipment (no medicine/slam balls) so i don't go there anymore. But if you want to start working out, I would recommend PF. I've been working out on and off for 12 years and for this price and as someone who's learned from my best friend, who was a personal trainer at LA fitness, I feel like it's such a no fuss, no ego fitness center. The branding and business model yields the clientele. I see elderly people, people really out of shape, people really IN shape. I support them all. Elderly people = they do strange things but I'm happy they're in the gym. Out of shape people = This is the right gym to be in because the vibe is the kindest big box gym I've ever been to. People in shape = like me, I feel like we know why we're here and we appreciate PF's business model. Thing I hate most about PF: for whatever reason, especially during peak times, the free weights can go missing. People will take them to other parts of the gym and not return them. Other gyms will have a smaller rack of free weights where mats are and auxiliary exercise area. Aside from that, no complaints. And thank you for being 24 hrs. I have yet to try out the massage chairs or any other amenity. I don't plan on it since my wife is my guest and can't access those rooms.

It gets the job done, convenient location, you get what you pay for. Morning shift is good, afternoon shift not so much, attitude. Many of the stairmaster machines are usually broken and almost always busy but thats understandable due to the location. They finally fixed the hot water issue which is why I changed my 3 stars to 4. Would be great if they could upgrade the machines like the downtown long beach location. Also not a fan of the teenagers go in free during summer. Although its great for the community, not so great for people that actually pay for the gym. Lastly, the shower floor is not safe, not sure how someone thought those tiles were okay, way to slippery when wet.

I have been coming to this gym in the mornings for at least 6 months. Their mens restrooms is disgusting and always breaking down. The showers are always flooded. What is it going to take for them to figuer it out before someone gets injured or gets ill because the restrooms are not sanitary or available.

One of the cleanest and tidiest locations I've been to. The only free weights are the standard norm for Planet Fitness; barbells up to 60 lbs and dumbbells up to 75 lbs. They have not received the titanium makeover as of the time of this review.

Didn't use any of the Black Card facilities but I'd imagine they are much the same as any other location. I've been to 40 or 50 P.F. locations, this was one of the better ones. 👍

Wish I could add negative stars to this. Shower area is a swamp. One bathroom stall is always down. Unable to get a locker even during empty gym as people leave their locks on. Can't get a changing stall because homeless are sleeping in them when they aren't knee deep in water. Front desk said all they can do is write up complaint.

just want to say that my experience at Planet Fitness Carson has been nothing but positive. The gym is always clean, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and I really appreciate how laid back the environment is. It’s not one of those places where you feel judged or uncomfortable—it's honestly a place where you can focus on your own goals at your own pace.

During my recent visits, I've consistently noticed that the 30-minute workout zone circuit is overcrowded with people sitting on the machines, engrossed in their phones instead of actively using the circuit. I have raised this issue with the staff (Itiza), only to learn that they do not monitor the area. This lack of oversight renders the circuit ineffective, which is particularly frustrating since it's one of the key reasons I joined Planet Fitness. I strongly urge you to enforce your policies so that all members can utilize this amenity as intended.

I have been to many Planet Fitness locations but this one is the best I have been to so far. I started coming here regularly during peak hours since last October and like any gym they have their off days too. However, I always see the team members moving around, ensuring supplies are refilled and they are always cleaning. On busy days, you see multiple team members ensuring operations run smoothly. They are also always very polite and friendly. I, unfortunately, changed jobs and can no longer come regularly to this location anymore. But, if you are thinking of joining this location, definitely do so. If you don't like big crowds, this location gets pretty empty from 8:00pm and onward. Friday's are the best days to get your workouts in.

I travel a lot and use my Black Card membership at a variety of PF locations around the US. This particular location is the worst I've been to so far. Equipment itself was clean, but the Men's locker room smelled slightly of raw sewage and there was standing water all over. I tried to use one of the changing rooms, but it had trash strewn everywhere. I'd look elsewhere for a gym.

I have been the PF member in this branch for about a year and seen many disgusting and unusual things here. out of 3 rolling tissues two of them are usually ran out of the paper or jammed in the roll. numerous times it happened that the machines are not cleaned for few days and I found gums, stains and dirt on them. the shower area is ALWAYS and ALWAYS dirty and absolutely antihygienic. there are always some socks or underwear around the trash bin in the change room or the trash bin is wet in and out. most of the times 3-4 out of 6 step machines are out of order or have an error massage and don't function.
I don't recommend this branch for exercise and fitness.

The staff is friendly, kind and hardworking, the management needs to be replaced, very disgusting management, almost made me quit this gym because of their management style. They deliberately use greasy bath water to drive away customers who come to take a bath, the bath water is greasy, greasy, full of fungi and pathogens, my skin ages rapidly and I have severe athlete's foot infection, the management's intentional injury behavior needs to be sued by lawyers to bankruptcy, expensive skin care products can't restore my skin and hair aging caused by intentional injury, I am very angry!!!

I visited this location at least 3 times. Each time, the equipment had trash in the cup where the water bottle was to be placed while working out. I will never forget the creepy feelings that I experienced because of that. I always wipe down the equipment that I work out on wherever I go, but this place is not clean enough for me. In addition, the equipment doesn't perform well enough... The frustration develops a stressful workout for me. This place is open 24 hours, but I will not return unless I have to.

It’s a great gym but one staff member just stands out and makes going to this gym extremely uncomfortable and unsafe knowing that she doesn’t care to hear the concerns of a gym member. I recently tried to inform the manger in the front of some equipment that is in need of repair for safety reasons this could be a problem if a member was to get injured but she seems to not care at all as she Inturupted me many times and cut me off mid sentence just so she could get back to engaging in conversation to the man she was flirting with it seems to aggravate her when I tried to address my concern.

If you’re planning on going to this gym around 5:10am and 6:30am DO NOT GO TO THE 30 MINUTE WORKOUT ROOM. There is a petite lady that spends her time flirting and laughing with a guy while using up the machines. They do 1 or 2 reps every 15 minutes just to “pretend” there actually doing something but are just obnoxiously laughing out loud to the point where my noise cancellation on my Sony headset doesn’t zone them out. Very much annoying, its a gym not a high school cafeteria.

I go to this planet almost every day and despite the fact that there are times when it is saturated, it is a good experience.
I would also like to give my opinion in ROGER TEDI's review, I was there when I saw him on the sofa and when I passed to the massage chairs, he was still on the sofa, about 1 hour and a half passed, he was fast asleep, there was another man just as asleep in the massage chairs, she spoke to him about 6 times because he didn't wake up I didn't hear him read I speak badly. I think you don't go to the gym to sleep, the fact that you pay for the service doesn't invite you to stay for 5 hours.

When I came to this planet fitness the lady with black hair was extremely rude and treated us as if we were sub humans. I asked her where I could charge my cell phone and she pointed at the desk acting as if she was talking to a dog, then said she was not on the clock and would not answer any of my questions.

When she came back from her break or whatever she was doing she started harassing me for sitting in the lounge charging my phone, then called security to have me and another person who was sitting on the couch removed. We were told the couch is only for display and nobody is actually allowed to sit there. Although we still had passes we were still forced to leave.

When I went to take a picture of this lady harassing me she ran away and threatened to call the police but I was able to get this picture anyway. Because of being forced outside after I was in the shower I got sick while my feet were wet and it was a little cold outside.

It wouldn’t have been all that difficult to let us wait until buses started running again but it seemed she intentionally tried to inconvenience us and was a truly horrible person.
