Been going to this gym for years now, it’s my first one I’ve consistently been going to. Staff is nice and polite, they recently replaced some of their older equipment with new ones. I’m grandfathered in a $10 a month plan, however I may have just outgrown this place.

For example, there’s ample cardio machines but every weight-lifting machine or free weights are occupied. I have to wait to use the smith machines because there’s only four of them. I can count on my two hands the times they ran out of paper towels to wipe down in multiple stations. Upgrading to Black card gets you an abysmal “spa” section. Think massage chairs you operate yourself, and… pretty much that’s it.

There’s another gym next to me called EoS Fitness that’s 2x the size, more machines, more recreational activities. Guess the price? $10 a month.

If you’re paying more than 10 bucks to come here, it’s fine. But since they raised their prices, (can you believe they got rid of pizza and bagel days?) you can do better.

I go to gyms all over Cali and the staff here are the best. Friendly smiling faces everytime I come in. Andy and Mikey are who l usually see amount a tew others.

Called a few days ago to inquire (ask) if a cancelled membership could reactivated. I was advised that a manager would give me a call. I expected a call back with either a yes or no response. 2 days later, I look at my back acc and see a deduction from PF. I look on the website, found out a NEW agreement was processed without my consent or knowledge. Spoke to Sam, who seemed unbothered at the fact that an agreement was created and process by him without proper signature, consent or disclosure of agreement. The only reason I found out was bc of my bank activity. Very unethical!

I was completely humiliated at the 12831 Towne Center Dr Cerritos, CA 90703 United States
Planet Fitness. On July 4th around noon. I was working out quietly and respectfully in the corner—shirt slightly above my stomach during leg press—and was suddenly singled out and shamed by staff, while two men loudly slamming weights were completely ignored.

When I brought it up and asked if the Lunk Alarm would be used (as it’s supposed to be), I was mocked, laughed at, and made to feel like an outsider. It was prejudiced and targeted. The staff showed zero professionalism or basic human respect. I paid to cancel my membership on the spot because I’ve never felt so bullied in a gym.

I came from Texas seeking a welcoming and diverse place to train, not trauma. This was harassment, plain and simple. Do better, Planet Fitness. You lost a respectful, loyal, paying member today.

Everytime i go- there isnt anyone one working front desk i go between 10pm to 12am to check in .door are open but no employees. i have stood there for over 20 min multiple times and checked in myself... also showers are always gross and no water pressure. I do not recommend

Well kept and welcoming staff. Smaller than the ones I regularly attend but it still has solid options for a good workout. The hydrolounge jet pressure was STRONG - perfect for my back! The only thing that I did not like was that the Black Card area was not private. I mean, you walk in and it's right there! I didn't mind it, but I can imagine some members not feeling too comfortable with the setting. Also, it would be nice to add the more modern and gentler yet more effective and thorough massage chairs. Overall, a solid spot if you live nearby.

This location is chill.. however, I've been here at least 4-5 times where there is literally puke in one of the sinks or stalls in the men's lockers/restroom. Lotsa folks at this location just chilling on their phones at equipment stations, it's weird.
Whoever you folks are taking too much protein & pre-workout to the point it makes you puke.. you need help! 😅🤮

They recently got a lot of new equipment, which is great, but they also removed some stuff for reasons I'm a little confused by if I'm being honest. There's now only one leg curl and extension machine each, no military press machine or a lateral raise machine, and the new smith machines also feel like a bit of a downgrade. I also haven't seen the abductor/adductor machines yet, but I may have just missed those and I haven't done those exercises in a bit so those might still be there.

On the smith machines, I do like that the bar seems a bit heavier now and actually tells you how much it weighs on its own now. This makes it a lot easier to know how much I am benching or squatting, etc. On the other hand, it feels worse on the initial lift when trying to remove the new hook so that you can lower the bar during the exercise itself. For example when benching, I find that I don't want to lift as heavy as I normally can when pushing myself because it's harder on my wrists to lift, rotate, and unhook the bar to begin my set. I'm not sure if it needs to be oiled or something, but it's just very uncomfortable to do.

The gyms still pretty good though overall, people give PF a bad wrap but this ones really close to me and I've been able to pretty much get done what I'd do at other gyms here.

I used to like planet fitness until I an awful experience with the manager and employees! They were very unprofessional, and they should be fired! Anyway, I switched to Crunch Fitness Cerritos, and they are all professional and courteous! I really love their Zuma, body sculpting, yoga, and cardio tie classes! Crunch Fitness offers so much more & you should check them out! Ever since I changed to Crunch, I've been getting so many complaints about my weight loss! Huge difference, so go check out Crunch Fitness!

It was ordinary day and I decided to head the gym. But I went around in over night to do some exercise and moment i came in and said hi to the workers, the overnight manger gave a attitude and that kinda ruin my day, because all I said was hi. honestly I would not come here at all because overnight manger giving that attitude, I would not come here at all.

I usually have a positive experience at this gym, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case with Mr. M*****s at the front desk. His attitude significantly detracts from the otherwise friendly and professional atmosphere. He becomes noticeably rude if you ask more than one question or if he needs to perform any tasks beyond the basic check-in.

In a service-driven industry like this, every interaction counts. It's crucial for staff to provide a welcoming and helpful experience. I encourage the gym’s management, especially those at the C-level, to observe Mr. M*****s's interactions with members. It’s important to remember that while having staff with impressive physiques might be beneficial as trainers, excellent customer service is essential across all roles.

One negative experience can overshadow the many positive ones, and unfortunately, Mr. M*****s’s behavior is having that effect.

Mostly elliptical and treadmills. Ridiculously small area for a 6 pack of mini bench presses and no actual bench presses. Minimal free weights/bars and no squat machines. I can’t believe this gym has over a 4 star rating. Worst Planet Fitness I have ever been to. I’m only giving 2 stars because the employees have amazing customer service. You would think Cerritos would have nice and new equipment and a lot of options. Cerritos is a nice city and you would think they have the money to put into keeping things updated and new. They don’t have any of the machines I like to use at all the other PF gyms. They don’t even have the stretch machine. If you want to go on a treadmill, stair master or elliptical.. this is the gym for you. Other than that I would not recommend it. Sucks because I work in the same parking lot as this gym and it would be super convenient for me to come here after work but I tried that last night and had to cut my workout short since there wasn’t many options. Even the machines they have are different than the ones at the other PF. These machines are older and outdated, please upgrade your equipment!!

This club is a great place to do your regular gym exercises. They have massage and tanning salons. You have to bring your own soap and shampoo but who else doesn’t? It was not as busy on a Friday afternoon between 5 and 6. They don’t have a choice of calf exercises tho and only has one machine. The do have a lot of weights and machines for the chest, legs, arms, shoulders and back. I finished my leg, chest and shoulder exercises in record time as I didn’t have to wait for a machine. It s a good gym to work out in. They also have an app to make sure you are doing the correct exercises. You can download the app for free it also offers some workouts even if you are not a member!

I just joined the club as a black membership upgrade. Last nite I was trying to tan and they said I needed goggles and that I can buy them up front for $2.50. I told the staff I'd buy some the next day because I didn't have my wallet on me. I came to workout the next day and tried to pay for the goggles and the male staff said I couldn't pay with cash or debit and only with apple pay. I said I don't have apple pay and was never told the only way I could pay anything at the gym was with apple pay. I said "can you not just give me the cheap stickers to put on my eyes so I can just tan and get goggles later elsewhere?" And the male staff member had no understanding or compassion and just refused!! The gym is nice but that staff member was the opposite!

I like that it’s conveniently located near my house. The other members keep to themselves so I don’t feel bothered when I go there. I’ve worked out at the Cerritos planet fitness pre-Covid and determined it’s not for me. I didn’t like all the quotes on the walls and how they discriminate certain “types” of people. I don’t like the judgement, and it wasn’t towards me because I don’t lift weights 🏋️‍♀️.
I struggle with drinking enough Water and the only time I met my daily goal was after I started using a gallon jug I got on Amazon. It has time stamps and motivational quotes on the bottle. I’d use this to help me schedule and remind me to drink water and finally, I achieved my goal. Apparently, the gym has a wild rule about drinking water from gallon jugs. 🤷🏼‍♀️
That crazy rule affected me. It doesn’t make sense and isn’t motivating. The only thing it helped is the decline in living a healthy lifestyle. I also didn’t agree with the discrimination towards people who didn’t fit the cookie cutter image planet fitness labels individuals.
