I had an issue with my active and fit membership, that I was unable to resolve on my own. That dilemma required intervention from the manager (Angie) of the Clovis Planet Fitness facility and her assistant manager (Nate) at that facility. It became a bit involved and time consuming, but the staff here at the Clovis Planet Fitness for nothing less than outstanding.. Please congratulate them for their diligence and patience, resolving this problem. I can tell you it was greatly appreciated.

Really clean, plenty of machine and various types of exercise equipment. Also, hit the massage bed for a post workout relaxation sessi

Update:
I've just checked my membership cancellation email and found that the reason stated was a “policy violation” — noted by the same manager I mentioned below.
My biggest mistake, as anyone could make, was not fully reading the policy and trusting the staffs who failed to catch my so-called “violation” for 9 months.
How judge-free and fair-minded that manager must be!

Here is my first review:
I called last year to confirm if I could video call my online PT at the gym. The staff said it was fine until yesterday. I understand there might now be some concerns about video calls. The manager kindly discussed it with me, and we agreed that having a short video call in my training area — as long as it didn’t disturb others — would be acceptable.

Later on, another staff member approached me with a rather strict attitude and gave several warnings. I’m not sure if this was part of the current training or a personal approach. Since I’ve always had positive experiences with Planet Fitness before, I wanted to share this as feedback for consistency and communication training among staff.

Unfortunately, the mixed messages between the manager and the staff made me decide to cancel my membership. I still hope Planet Fitness can maintain its friendly and supportive environment that I used to appreciate.

Canceled my membership since I go to a different gym now. Woke up the next morning wasn't just charged for a month I hadn't even checked in for but also got hit for over $70 including the previously mentioned monthly charge. Tried contacting them and was told I would have to go in and speak to management and waste time out of my already busy schedule. Go figure they can take your money when you sign up through their website but make it a huge hassle to handle billing when you're canceling. No issues with my new gym and better equipment as well. Customer service needs to improve I have no problem paying the month but that additional money I was charged was ridiculous I get it all gyms charge fees for the most part for improvements and things like that but why should I absorb those costs after cancelling if I'm not going to be able to take advantage of said improvements.

Great gym, wanted variety so I could do many different workouts everyday. Good balance between cardio and workout machines. Everything is clean, easy to access the product to wipe down equipment. Staff is very friendly and informative.

The smith machine is nice, but I do wish there was more free weights, like squat racks and bench press. Some equipment could use some repadding and felting as well (this is minor, just the leg curl and extension machine seems to need this). My biggest gripe is that I wish they were open 24 hours on fridays, I usually go after work at 11:30pm and am always bummed when I can’t go on those nights since they close at 9pm.

They do so much fraudulent on bank account and no one knows anything the 3rd party that handles they're payment blames the actual store then when I call the actual club they say its a system error they can't refund yet when I want to speak to a supervisor they can't even give that persons name or have them call me back to resolve this issue I been dealing with this company since April. They can't refund they dont even know how to respond employees are rude and only want to push this issue to other clubs yet clovis been my club since last year. I had to cancel my membership with them. Im so livid and not to mention they have you on hold more then 45min. I never delt with such poor customer service. This gym was a good place to go but now it’s been 3 weeks and they still have no hot water very inconvenient when trying to get a workout in before or after work please have them fixed!! As well the total body lighting room only has a few light bulbs that work it’s been like that for months. Please use your money to better your gym. I’ll delete review once everything is fixed.

This gym is just too crowded in the late afternoon and evening. And because they allow teenagers to use the gym for free all summer, it's crowded enough that it's hard to get a decent workout on a mix of weight machines. It's not anything that the teenagers do - they just workout like everyone else. But now that the number of paying members is back to normal, pre-COVID levels, it doesn't make sense to give away access to so many during peak hours.

I had a really disappointing experience with Planet Fitness. The gym often had a bad smell, and despite setting up automatic payments, my wife ended up being charged over $50 a month, which is way above the advertised rate. There is a little blonde manager here that looks like Tonya Harding. She has actually pulled me aside with 3 other staff members, oh, but not for doing anything wrong! It was because I had given a referral that got me a one month discount, and she was mad that one of her staff gave it to me and didn't put notes. Nice gym. Bathrooms get dirty sometimes and there’s a lot of people. My only real gripe is this is one of the locations with no self check in place for the hydro massage, massage chair, etc. and I can tell the workers get overwhelmed and might give me attitude (depends on the worker too). Maybe install a screen. Since there’s so many members I’m sure the owner can afford it. Hopefully the new shopping center on Clovis Avenue opens a new PF location.,

This is a wonderful place to workout, the staff are nice and everyone cleans the equipment after each use. The only thing I wish were different was the machine to machine ratio. I took a subscription for a month while I was in this city and the app continues to write off money from my bank account and today it also wrote off some annual fee of 49 dollars. To cancel the membership you need to pay another 56 dollars. They are completely crazy, scammers

After being a member for almost a whole year and using my Chime account as my primary payment account I was suddenly told that they no longer accept that as an acceptable bank. I was informed by Zeke that they will continue to charge my account on file but I would no longer be able to use their gyms, which makes absolutely no sense. If you do not accept that bank as a form of payment, why would you continue to charge that account? And if you do charge that account successfully, why wouldn't I be able to use your services? I'll take my business to a real gym that doesn't have constantly broken machines and has free weights.

Came to work out as a guest, and was definitely impressed. Nate at the front desk was so helpful and even took the time to show us around and help us with a couple workouts. Will def be signing up!
