Usually crowded. People just sitting down on the machines using their phones and don’t leave. People “reserve” machines by putting one of their 2 or 3 bags they bring in on the machines. No lunk alarm. They should call it planet tank top short king paradise…

One of the most gloriously beautiful facilities I've been in but by far the worst shower temperature. Totally unacceptable to run the water for 15 minutes to get a lukewarm shower in a freezing cold locker room. And yes, I told the front desk.

Good gym yes it gets busy but its to be expected when its a pretty affordable gym.
Love the new equipment the layout not so much. The back area now feels super cramped and makes it awkward to work out.
Also for the review saying they didn’t know the gym would be closing for a day there was a sign up in the front at check in letting everyone know. That sign was there for at least a week in advanced. Reading is essential

Ok so couple days ago Planet Fitness was closed for a couple days and members were not notified ! Personally as a paying membership holder, I strongly feel that not notifying members was very inconsiderate!!! A lot of members make plans to attend before a long day of work or after a long day of work. And being one who goes after work already dressed for the gym , it seriously upset me. I had to find out why it was closed by calling a Planet Fitness in Bakersfield!!! I feel that management should take members time into consideration and notify by text or email of sudden closures. I’m sure it can very well be done just like Planet Fitness is quick to charge monthly fees and definitely quick on the annual fee. Be better !

I gave my rating a one star because I joined Planet Fitness as a 17 year old which meant my parents needed to sign a waiver, they filled it out online so I invited my friend who is 16 to join the club. Her parents filled out the waiver online and payed for the year black membership but the worker in the front, Narida, did not let her in because she wanted her parents to sign it in person when they ALREADY signed it. Therefore that’s leads me to never referring any minor to come especially when you drove out of your town to a gym.

The employees purposely turn off the hot water so members don’t shower. It’s a shame. I like to workout in the morning and then shower and go to work right after especially since I live far from town. I will be cancelling my membership due to this happening more than once. Hopefully someone can talk to employees about having a power trip.

This gyms manager and staff are very unprofessional. I canceled my boys memberships and came to the Planet Fitness in Bakersfield(Off California) and reopened their memberships. Manager Jeremy and his staff are awesome and very helpful and professional in every aspect.

I just got a membership at this gym , I’m new in this town, the gym is ok it has a very friendly staff which is a plus for me, it doesn’t get crowded like others, my only concern are the treadmills…. They have plenty of them but only 25%of them works. Hopefully they resolve this issue soon.

I wish this location paid more attention to its monitoring of the bench press area. They should at least have a two hour limit.The locals seem to dominate it. The throwing of the weights is a little crazy but other than that it's a awesome place

This is the worst PF I've visited. 30 minute circuit closed mid afternoon for cleaning. People repeatedly dropping weights. Really annoying music. Weights feel wrongly calibrated. Machines seem old. Showers stone cold.

Most complicated membership ever. First it's "NO CONTRACT" but with multiple strings attached. Large variety of locations but not easy to transfer home gym location. When you asked them questions you need to have them verify it to you so they don't give you misleading information. Been a little over a month now and still unable to transfer home membership and unable to cancel membership. I now have to donate by force another monthly $24.99 for nothing. Go to any other gym and is way less complicated. Grand slam and Athletixs is a better choice. Also don't go during summer because it's over crowded with free membership to teenagers. Thank you for the horrible service.

Stopped in at this Planet Fitness while travelling. It is a smaller club and was packed with others. They should consider an expansion.

If I could give this a no star I would, granted this is the only gym for miles so I will take that into consideration. I guess you can call this planet the popular hang out for kids. So many people, so many kids. Went in the afternoon and evening and both times I could not get a good workout in. You want a bench? Good luck, some benches have 3 or four kids at them . People literally stacked in every corner. Cable machines? Nope half are broken and again two or three people using the same one. Now I get this is the only gym around but seriously, if your looking for a good workout just skip this one go a half hour either way down the 99 and find a different one. Out of all those people and kids in there only seen a couple that actually looked like they worked out and cared about fitness and it’s sad they have to deal with all this traffic just to get a workout in.

Overall is the standard experience for planet fitness, nothing extremely bad but I I'm giving 4 stars for the following reasons: 1.- People uses the express workout machines as regular exercise machines. If you want to do a cycle on Express Workout you won't be able. 2.- There are not enough hooks on the pulley cable machines, so you have a lot of people waiting and machines not being used because there are no hooks for the handles. 3.- lot of people uses the machines and do not clean after, it is not related to the gym itself but they can enforce it.

While I appreciate getting teenagers fit with free memberships it has been a packed summer so far at all PF's I have visited-This is especially true at the Delano, CA location. This is already a small club and they have only one Lat/Chest machine, but today staff closed one whole row of Cardio machines at 4 pm-Peak time! Pile all that on top of a Free-Weight section that is practically inaccessible and you have this Black-Card holder feeling blue!

I am really disappointed with the managements decision. Me and my friends are paying monthly fees and paying service fee each year, but don’t get the opportunity to use the machines because management has allowed the kids to come to gym for free for whole day. So gym stays too too busy. I hope that you guys look on this issue as soon as possible. There are many people at the gym who are disappointed with this decision because most of us have to wait for machines for an hour or more, usually one machine is occupied by four to five people at the same time. Please provide the kids who go there for free with particular time frame.

I used to have the premium membership but I have downgraded to the basic. Triceps pull down ropes look like they have been chewed on. I have even taken up to the front and said really you expect us to use this. The next day it was back. I bought my own.
The mats are becoming disgusting. When machines breakdown, you might as well have a funeral for them. I will say that some benches were replaced. Oh, I was yelled at by a little teenager. Since I had to purchase my own items, I had to downgrade.

Went the other day to hit the gym and asked the lady for another card she said they don't give them out to download the app I'm not downloading app if your company is not giving me an incentive for using my data. I'm paying monthly the least this company can do is hand me another card, what a rip off and waste of time.

I find it very unprofessional of the manger in this place I tried to speak to Laura the manger on site regarding the situation I had the previous weekend and she literally pushed me away acting as if she did not care as soon as I brought up the situation when I proceed to letting here know due to the whole situation I was going to cancel my membership because of this situations and the way she was not caring she shook here shoulders as if she didn’t care I’m very disappointed that this it the Type of attention a manger would give a customer

A machine was on hold for 30 minutes the workers put a tape around the machine putting it on hold to clean take in mind there is only 4 machine for a whole gym as soon as I got on the machine the workers went up to me and stated they needed to clean it due to a time crunch take in mi de the workers were “talking for 30 minutes if they were in a time crunch they would have cleaned it as soon as it was open “ worsted service workers are always rude

This is clearly a beginner gym. I just signed up to get in shape since the new year is coming and I wanted to beat the New Years crowd. It’s still pretty empty inside and feels a little dead. Their staff is nice but pretty low energy, I like to be greeted at a gym, like I’m walking into a sushi restaurant. I get that it’s a losing weight gym mostly, but they could use more strength equipment. Layouts terrible and strength machines are poorly hidden in the back. But other than that, they price is good, and it’s clean as hell. best part of this gym, is that I don’t feel ashamed when I lug my soon to be gone, fat but in.

I frequent two locations. The one in Delano is way too small for the amount of people that go. Many machines are down and do not have signs posted that they are down. The Delano location needs to be bigger. There are so many treadmills that are not even being used and should be taken out to make space for machines that people actually use.
