Doesn't have newer massage chairs, hybrid light tanning machines. Also no stretching rack or the black Styrofoam rollers for stretching?? Also one of the TV channels is on Disney?? Never seen that before. Other than that can't complain, they DO have the newer back and chest machines which is a huge plus. Great ambience/atmosphere and everybody seems nice and chill.

Would've received 5 stars, but they didn't clean a toilet in the men's locker room that caused arguments between customers as to how long a person should be in the stall. It was 3am when I visited and should have been attended to by the staff on hand. While I am emphatic with having to clean such a mess, it still should have been cleaned.

Wow, what an amazing gym. I love planet fitness overall, but this one is always very clean. For those of you who are not sure which gym to sign up to, Planet Fitness is your gym. I've had 24 hr fitness before, and that gym is a dump. They charge you a ton of money for very poor quality and disgusting restrooms. But planet fitness is something else, and specifically this location, it's always very clean and staff has great customer service. Love this place !

Although the above majority rating does not reflect an issue with the non-management onsite staff, today, it ultimately reflects on the whole team. Today, I went into PF to cancel my membership. The reasons which contributed to my decision to cancel my membership had to do with upkeep of machines and restroom maintenance. I walked in to the facility and asked to pay my outstanding balance for months that have not been paid - which I take full responsibility since I should have sent a letter or walked to their location; BTW, strange it being 2024 and having an application, they do not allow a convivence to close your membership online, but, oh well, I digress. I was told that aside from my unpaid dues I would need to pay my annual membership due, even though it auto renewed on 09.01.2024 ( Weird, PF doesn't provide notification of your annual renewal approaching being we have the ease of technology to implement ). Long story short, I had to speak to an area manager since at this point, I realize the site manager, Natalie, would not prorate the annual fee up to 09.06.2024 ( 6 days after the auto renewal date ). She informed me she does not have a contact number, for Greg, the Area Manager, nor his email address , which she can share with me. She could only provide me a corporate number - which you and I know, means being caught in an endless loop of no response. I am not faulting the site staff for not being able to assist me but I do fault their leadership for not providing the tools necessary to resolve an issue - ex. higher leadership contact information. I take responsibility for the months I lapsed in not canceling my membership but highly feel disappointed that I will be charged a full annual fee even though I am canceling my membership 6 days into the "auto" no notification renewal frame. Greg, I hope you can provide assistance to this matter. Please do not respond with a generic response as most business' do when they receive a subpar review. Looking forward to your response and opportunity to connect by phone.

I typically go in the mornings around 4am and it is a great environment. Mostly older folks who are early risers that are in there at that time. I've tried afternoons but it is packed. I prefer the early mornings. Everything is clean and in order.

As a consistent member at the Planet Fitness in Duarte, i've been thoroughly impressed with my experience. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and the staff is always so welcoming!

Danna, the trainer, has a remarkable talent for creating an uplifting and motivating environment. She goes out of her way to ensure that every member feels supported and encouraged, making workouts not only effective but also enjoyable for everyone that takes her classes there! Her positive attitude and personalized approach to fitness has made a significant difference in my routine. I leave every session feeling inspired to keep pushing myself.

Strange policy on the Hydro massage and massage chairs. 5 Minutes? There is literally no one waiting for them. Everywhere else, never a problem getting . 10 and 10 minutes. Weird. I had 2 back surgeries. 6 screws in by back. Need my 20 minutes.Where in the world is the Duarte, Ca sign. Showers are grymie. Toilets are nasty. Toilet roll dispensers on the floor. Even If you already checked in already. You must check in again if you step out and let them know first. The only Planet Fitness where the Manager Is a control freak. Real uncomfortable about the waste of time with all these policies they made for themselves that No one else in California has. Cocky attitudes and booshie place. I think I'm canceling my membership and going to 24 hour fitness after this experience in Duarte. Just a waste of time. Don't like getting treated like a 10 year old. We'll pray for better management and better respect and attention on guests needs.

This is a very nice and quiet gym. It's not very large, but it is well-equipped and everything seems quite new. It's usually not very crowded and the staff are very friendly. They were very understanding and didn't ask too many questions or try to persuade me otherwise when I decided to cancel my membership. However, there is one issue: often when I shower, the hot water runs out halfway through. I'm not someone who takes long showers, but the water turns cold as soon as I finish washing my face and start on my hair. I'm not sure why this happens, but I hope it can be improved.

If you enjoy working out and knowing the gym is clean....you are on the right place. I recommend people if you want a good workout head to planet fitness around 10pm or early morning 8am. Weekends are dead as my bank account but youll get a great workout. Been to over 10 different planet fitness and this one is the best.

I've been here for a year.
The Gym and Equipment are still great, clean and has enough for me.
The employees are great.
But.
There is a woman that seems like a manager of some sort, I. The evenings.
I realize the membership is very reasonable and the employees probably are not highly paid, but she needs customer service training.
There needs to be common sense and flexibility in customer service, she needs training.
That is the only reason I'm going to look around for a different place to workout.

The owner responded to the review before, I hope he sees this one too.

I had a very hard time getting in any planet fitness locations in CA with my classic membership card just for one single entry til I upgraded it for the next entry.

This gym is clean and not crowded during non peak hours. There’s signage to make cell phone calls in the lobby but there should be notice to not sit on equipment scrolling and texting. Social media has given rise to social rudeness but the club should have a policy to mitigate that.
I’m on a non contractual plan. I can cancel at anytime. I understand the initial enrollment fee. However, an additional annual fee doesn’t make sense when there is no agreement for an annual membership. I tried to discuss this with an employee but she didn’t understand the illogic of charging that fee.

They blast terrible house pop music and get upset if you bring your own speaker. Aaron really needs to be so rectal and chill out. No many heavy weights and they only have linear smith machines and barbells under 80. People here are on their phones most of the time so that it shows the type of service provided to the type of people. Honestly if you don’t workout at all yo should go here. If you like to be comfortable wearing open toed shoes, playing your own music under the obnoxious gym music, and not be kicked out for your sandals, go someplace else.
This is a gym for non gym goers and it truly shows in the treatment given.
There are better Planet Fitness gyms elsewhere.

Nice place however there free weights are lacking. Dumbells only go to 75lbs, fixed barbells to 60 lbs. One very bad machine for calves, one leg press. So basically is you don't want size and are OK with having small legs fellas this is the place for you. Way too many cardio machines and nothing for strenght...

This gym discriminates against people with disabilities. I have Peripheral Neuropathy and am unable to wear closed toed shoes because of the immense debilitating chronic pain I'm in. Before I signed up for this gym I spoke to a "manager" about this explaining that I would only be using the rowing machine and the two machines next to it never going towards the weights. They said this was fine. Now 5 months later, I was kicked out of the gym for having a disability saying that they can't accommodate my disability. I asked for a manager, the lady said she was the manager. I asked for the district manager and I wasn't allowed to talk to them. I asked for a refund and she said she would charge me a cx fee.
I'm so disgusted at the treatment I received here. Not the first time I have been discriminated against for my disability and it won't be the last. Do better planet fitness. I will be called the ADA commission and filing a formal complaint.

I'm very glad and happy that it's open the positive part machines in the back on the air conditioning is great or good but in the front treadmill exercise machines are the fans on top are not running and it's just too hot may I suggest if the fans on top have to stay off what about opening the front door so the air can circulate a bet but again I'm very glad that they are open it gives me a lot of Hope thank you😂
