I do not recommend this gym. They do not have control over it. There’s too many students that come in there and sit around on the machines and talk and socialize. The staff is very nice but the management they need to change things and what I mean by that is start paying attention to people that aren’t there to exercise. It’s not a cafe situation and it’s not fair to other people that just wanna exercise. You could start handing out flyers to students that they will be monitored on the machines and there will be time checks just to keep things in order because there’s absolutely no respect for the other members besides the kids.

No up keep at all machines broken for weeks at a time holes in wall floor modeling peeling off. Staff is friendly and polite but the younger kids just chillin on machine and not doing anything is mad annoying. Some machines need just general up keep. My buddy fixed an out of order one just a week ago the week befor that he fixed. Nobody re-racks thier weights half the time. But other then that its a ok gym to go to.

I used to be in San Jose in the one on white road, people working there are so nice and the place is clean! This one is terrible. Almost everyone working there is so rude. They don’t welcome you when you enter and they don’t even say hi back. The machines are soooo old and dirty and the place is always crowded with obnoxious teens who are so loud and not being serious about working out!! I will be finding another location to move to even if it meant I have to drive longer!

The fact the id rather drive to the Vallejo location over this one, is crazy. I’ll go to any other location from now on. Hate having to wait an hour for a machine cause kids are just sitting on them and they never wipe down their equipment. Weights are never reracked. Broken towel dispensers, confusing layout, ALWAYS packed with a young crowd unless you go in the middle of the night or early morning before 6am. Half the lockers you can’t use, showers are filthy and showers don’t drain well. The crowd meter on the app is NEVER accurate, it will have 3 bars but be PACKED inside. I used to frequent here but will be going to other locations from now on.

I live closest to this one, so I go to this gym the most. It's pretty decent, though it isn't very big and seems to be crowded almost every time I go.

At first I thought they didn't have tanning, but that's because the layout is a little funky and you have to go down a hallway before you even get to the front desk.

In short, it's good enough since I live so close, but I do prefer some of the other planet fitness gyms elsewhere.

My highlight was the massage chair.

I’ve set in a lot of massage chairs in planet fitness but the massage chair I sat in in this planet fitness was OFF THE HOOK!

Was passing through town and visited this planet fitness 8 times during our visit. This was our 73rd different planet fitness we've visited as we are full time rv'rs and travel all over the country. Staff was amazing and facility was ok, seems like the don't clean under machines often. My biggest beef is they allow sick people who cough all over you in their facility. I had a lady come right next to me on the elliptical machine 2 days in a row start coughing spewing germs everywhere. Why she had to come to the machine next to me when there were more than 20 others with no one on them baffles me. When I made a comment she got very rude like she owned the place. Management needs to put up signs at the door (like othe planet fitnesses around the country) stating if your sick to please be considered and come back when your healthy. This ruined my workout so I left.

I was resting after a set of heavy squats sitting down resting till my next set and the manager comes up behind me looking at my phone and says “ ur more than welcomed to sit in the front if you wanna play games” and I’m confused cause I’m just waiting to catch a breath resting on my phone and she tries to play it off nicely saying “ just cause other people could use it as well!”. I get that but the gym wasn’t packed at all nor did I ever say I’m entitled to wait however long as I want but I was simply just on my phone trying to regain my energy back for my next set. That just felt like an invasion of privacy looking over at my phone and an unprofessional matter of how she came up to me with that snarky sarcastic tone thinking she was funny or some. I don’t how you could talk to your customers like that, if your having a bad day or just miserable that ain’t the solution

It all depends on the time you go to work out on what you will get. I recently changed from afternoons/evenings to coming at 5am before work. The music is always so loud when you first come in and there is usually no staff member on site anywhere. The trashes are overflowing and the bathrooms have zero toilet paper. But if you come after 7am it’s clean, perfect and you can see staff. Thought the only big change for me is the team before Covid was always actively cleaning. I hardly see anyone cleaning on their shift deep cleaning like they used to.

Worst customer service from an area manger ever. I cancelled my membership over Covid in 2020 they restarted it without my permission so I removed them from my checking account. The area manger wants to charge me two months late fees over my stop payment if I want to restart my membership. The store manger offered to waive the late fees and meet me half way which I agreed to but the area manager said no and is demanding proof that I cancelled over Covid 4 years ago or pay the extra. They would rather loose future profits over this minor Covid issue because the area manager has no clue about customer service training whatsoever. Don’t waste your time here!

Great place to come have a workout w friends or solo. Out of the years I've been coming here, never had an issue w staff, always friendly.
They're also informative if you're new. Whether it be location of certain machines, or if you need advice on workouts. (You may have to wait for a trainer for the latter. The front staff will let you know when they're usually on site.)
Equipment down time is usually pretty short, if ever in need of repair. But, there is an abundance of equipment, so you should always be able to find a way to work your particular groups.
It can get pretty busy. So, I suggest keeping an eye on the "crowd meter", and coming at slower times if you can. If you want your pick of machines.
The clientèle here are pretty relaxed, and usually have no problem with you "working in" with them, or grabbing a couple plates, if you just ask kindly. Overall a great place, to get healthy, make friends, or just stop by for a quick lift and be on your way!

As a previous person has said Loren Green manager of this location is just plain disrespectful and unprofessional. It just makes sense how overall the staff is poorly trained. The sheep that leads. Loren has been nothing but a liar. My sibling was banned based on affliction and judgement. Isn’t their slogan judgement free zone? I guess the judges are the staff a bunch of unprofessional members. Loren states she would follow up on a video camera request on Monday 1/29/2024. After not hearing from her my bother proceeded to ask in person just to get welcomed with lies. Loren stated she would call Tuesday when in fact I was there when she said Monday because of an all staff meeting and business she has to take care off. I being understanding gave her grace and was patient. Not only that her assistant manager is no help at all. Miles needs to be trained on being off clock and banning someone with no management approval. At this point I’ll rather cancel my membership and take my business to another establishment than be surrounded with such unprofessional judgmental and disrespectful individuals. And to end this review last time I checked it does not take 2 staff members to change any of the cleaning products and majority of the time I attend this gym there’s paper towels missing etc. what a joke of a management. Loren Green you are no one to judge a persons affliction just for giving someone a ride and the disrespect you gave to us by lying and mimicking is plain disgusting. Mind you the assistant manger and the manager gave us a irrelevant excuse that there were complaints of my sibling walking around wondering last time I checked everyone walks around and who are you to judge someone’s time at the gym!? So they always tell you that everything is unlimited but it's not it's not unlimited there's a difference between a franchise and the Corporate and they don't tell you that you can only visit other gyms 10/month and then each additional visit is a $5 fee…. so after considered and figuring out a solution, talking to a couple of patient employees and coming to a resolution-I'm looking at the bigger picture and the bigger picture is that regardless of that little BIG deal-I really do actually like both gyms. I like the concept, I love the cleanliness I love the music I love the atmosphere I like the vibe the equipment is clean, the gyms are all over the place. So I have to really reconsider. I apologize for the previous review and truly change my view, but as a whole I like planet fitness (I do not like that little fine print) but I have to understand and it's well worth it for me to figure out what I came for. Worse gym experience I have ever dealt with. The Gym isn't clean, the staff (God bless them) a little slow but it stems from management. The front desk who greet and answer the phones have false information. The training is lacking. They don't know the right information for billing and contracts. There's no accountability when it comes to information. They will find any and all reasons to charge you for extra months.
I suggest going to Crunch, 24 hour fitness, or anytime fitness. Planet fitness is low budget but like Spirit Airlines they are low quality

One shower in men's room is missing a showerhead for who knows how long.
There are 2 possibilities:
- showers never get cleaned, so no one notices a missing shower head(like pipe sticking from the wall with no head!)

The main reason I am a member at Planet Fitness is that my local 24 Hour Fitness closed making this the only local gym that is open 24 hours a day. The price point is also good at less than $14 a month. The equipment is generally well maintained and operational. If weight machines and cardio are your thing than this place has all that you need. If you prefer free weights then you'll likely find this place lacking. There are no free weight bench press or squat racks. You will have to use the Smith machines in place of that kind of equipment. Dumbbells only go to 75lbs and they don't really have enough plates for people to use on all the Smith machines and the leg sled at the same time. Although that may only be an issue when it is busy.

I've been a member since 2018 enjoyed going until this summer when they let the kids come in for free all summer. All they do is sit around Tik Tok'n/Snapchating, texting/talking on the phone. Very hard to get a good workout since it's so packed with kids not actually working out😤😤. Hope it ends when school starts. If not I'll definitely be going to a new gym.
