I've been a member here for six years and the staff have always been very nice, greeting you when you enter and helpful with any questions I have had. They have recently added many new machines. I do have a suggestion for the massage rooms which I use after every workout. Unfortunately, there are some very rude and inconsiderate members who have very loud conversations on their iphone while in the massage chair right next to my massage chair. This has occurred several times, so a sign indicating "This is a quiet space" or " No phone zone" anything to get people to respect others receiving a massage after a hard workout, would be great. Thx!

Planet Fitness has upped their game in the last year. There is new equipment that makes the facility a great competition for gyms built for advanced trainers. Not only has the gym been upgraded, but the staff makes the gym a welcoming place by helping out beginners become familiarized with the equipment and resources.

One thing I appreciate is that the staff members interact with the people who come to make them feel part of a community!

I'm tired of their staff looking for reasons to single me out. - for a judgement free zone they sure care an awful lot about what I wear and what I do. I'd work out there everyday if they didn't try to exercise some stupid authority over adults who pay to use the equipment. This location makes the planet fitness brand look terrible.

They raised the price of a bottle of water to $1.50 and the cooler is still empty! Empty soap dispenser in their athletes foot infested bathrooms no showerheads. a Gatorade vending machine and a door lock barcode scanner could do their jobs and customers would be more respected. I'd file a discrimination lawsuit if I cared enough but I'd prefer if someone just contacted me to cancel my annual instead

Again n again the brand bew equipment is still a pos. For months the ab machines are stuck. You can't move them at all. Either to high or to low. Soooo sick n tired coming in here and your new machines dont work. Excuse is that the workers cant touch them. The machine needs a special oil etc. Excuses after excuses. What the hell do we pay monthly for equipment not to work properly for MONTHS. NOT A WEEK OR SO. No since in New equipment if the warranty will take months to fix...prefer the old ab machine over the new one. I'm about to start looking at gb3 or another gym. 😡😡😤😤

Fabulous gym with a full suite of cardio equipment, Nautilus machines, and a new set of barbell free weights. I was seriously impressed with the offerings here including how clean the place was. The staff are friendly and kind and help to build the judgement free atmosphere. I was greeted by the manager who was a delight!! I'd highly recommend this gym as THE place to begin your fitness journey.

There’s way too much equipment piled on top of each other where there is no room to breathe/personal space, let alone get any use of a yoga mat. They need to open up that back room behind the double doors to place equipment there and leave the side room next to it open for stretching etc. they have good equipment but forgot to leave room to even use them properly.

There are three ab machines here. For nearly two months one has been broken with a defective seat adjustment handle. Its either stuck on the lowest or highest setting. So, if you're average build... you're screwed. Now, the second one is the same way. Both are useless to the average person. When I ask staff about repairs, they shrug their shoulders- they must do this a lot cause they have good form? Maybe they're waiting for all three to go out so they can get a bulk discount on repairs. This place.... sheesh!

The planet fitness on Shaw and Valentine is my favorite in Fresno. The staff is really welcoming and the equipment is more up to date than some of the other ones. I also love the addition of the newer area that allows for the use of free weights plus I believe it’s the only PF in Fresno that offers cryotherapy .

Ive been a member at other gyms and they weren’t so hesitant about signing me up without providing my checking account on the spot. I obviously have one but don’t carry it around with me. Other gyms in the past have been soo much more friendly showing me prices of the gym memberships and telling me oh provide your account number another day debit/credit is fine.These guys didn’t provide any info just because of the account number I didn’t have with me. I guess what did I expect? I just moved in the area and was trying to go to a closer gym but will take my business elsewhere. Work on your customer service definitely needed.

Unfortunately it seems the new adjustments are just weird. The machines are bunched up awkwardly and not even by function... if you want abs they are spread out around the gym instead of bunched together. Along with all the other muscle groups. This is really confusing for new members and honestly some of us oldschoolers as well. Confusing and unpleasant layout to say the least. They have also removed some useful machines. I would say this gym is no longer on my recommendation list especially if your not experienced enough in the gym to weed out the issues. Also note there is no 30 min room any longer so take that into consideration before signing up at this location.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt like this experience deserved one. I recently went to Planet Fitness to help my brother sign up for a membership. He’s usually pretty intimidated by gyms, so I was expecting it to be a bit stressful, but it was actually the total opposite!!

Han at the front desk was amazing! Super friendly, welcoming, and patient. He walked us through everything without making us feel rushed or awkward. You could tell he genuinely cared about making us feel comfortable, especially my brother, who left feeling way more confident than when we walked in.

It's rare to come across staff who make such a positive impression right off the bat. Big shoutout to Han for creating such a great first experience and Good Job Planet Fitness!!

**Very Disappointed with Rude Treatment Despite Being a Paying Member**

I’ve been a Planet Fitness member at the \$21.99/month Black Card level, and I had a very disappointing experience this week that left me feeling embarrassed and disrespected.

I visited the gym with my sister-in-law, who also has a Black Card membership. When I scanned in with my app, the front desk worker informed me that my debit card on file was expired and that I would need to update it. Despite the card being expired, Planet Fitness has continued to successfully charge my checking account every month, so my membership was fully paid for.

The employee allowed me to enter “this time,” but shortly after I began walking to the machines, he loudly called my name across the gym and told me to return to the front desk. He informed me that his coworker told him I could not be allowed in and that I had to leave. The way he handled the situation was unnecessarily loud and rude, and I felt publicly embarrassed.

I asked if I could just check in as my sister-in-law’s guest since we both have Black Card memberships. While I was eventually allowed in under that method, I was surprised and disappointed that the worker didn’t offer this option to begin with. Instead, it felt like my suggestion annoyed him.

I understand that having an up-to-date secondary form of payment is part of the policy, but Planet Fitness still charged me for my membership through my checking account. Denying me access to the gym, even temporarily, when you’ve already accepted my payment, feels like a breach of contract. You can’t collect payment and then deny service—especially not in such an unprofessional and disrespectful manner.

I left feeling disrespected and humiliated, and I believe I should have filed a formal grievance over how this situation was handled. I hope Planet Fitness takes this feedback seriously and ensures staff are better trained to handle these situations with more tact, respect, and awareness.

Two days in a row I’ve gone to this gym, and there aren’t paper towels in ANY of the dispensers. The staff (that is obviously aware) put regular cloth towels for people to continuously reuse and wipe off the machines. It’s really disgusting and I didn’t want to touch a dirty towel that’s been sitting there all day.

Si no quieren que este lugar se vaya a pique despidan a la seudomanager que tienen no le pone atención al arreglo de las máquinas nunca está cuando la buscas o llamas por teléfono que clase de persona hace eso en su trabajo.Trato digno a sus CLIENTES

No es posible que aquí se descompongan las máquinas y pueden pasar meses y no les importa arreglarlas,me acabo de lastimar mi pierna porque habían quitado el letrero de no funciona y pensé que servía ,y la usé me lastime le comenté a la persona que estaba en frente que si funcionaba y me dijo que no,ya se le a hablado en varias ocasiones a la manager del lugar para ver porque no la arreglan la máquina y NUNCA está si a esta persona no le gusta su trabajo creo que debería de dejarlo y que busquen a alguien que le importa darnos un buen servicio,más de 6 meses y no funciona y me han dicho que ya tiene varios reportes para ver porque no la arreglen y al parecer ala manager no le importa tener en servio las máquinas no es JUSTO pagamos porque estén el

Some of the employees are nice. They'll greet you and smile... Then go back to talking to each other or be on their phones. I don't prefer this location because the showers have semitransparent glass doors and the water comes from straight above your head. The only benefit is they always have the hydromassage available!

Gym is decent but its too crowded. I wanna do chest workout today but all machines and benches was occupied , I waited for 10 minutes and then I go back home and cancelled my membership plus there app is show wrong data about crowd. I really hate this gym .
