Jennifer is extremely unprofessional and rude. I have a family member who was visiting me over the weekend and wanted to use his membership to get in he was 6 days overdue which I get he couldn't get in for himself. But my boyfriend was there and has a guest pass. For some stupid reason Jennifer did not allow my boyfriend to use his guest pass that he has been paying for for months as a black card member for my brother to come in. This is completely ridiculous unacceptable and makes no sense. My brother, boyfriend and I are upset and most likely cancelling our memberships completely. I am very disappointed and will be complaining to corporate due to these rules and mistreatment. Jennifer do better and treat others with respect.

I gotta say I’ve been to a bunch of different locations across Colorado and California. The customer service here is by far the best it’s not even close. They’re always super nice, they always welcome you in and always wish you a nice night. A lot of other locations they don’t even look at you. Shout out to the Glendale team! As far as the gym I mean, what more could you ask for? It has all the equipment you need. It has like a little relaxing spa area and it’s probably the most affordable gym around.

One of the cleanest nicest Planet Fitness I have ever been too. Free parking structure right across the street for 90 minutes. The bathrooms and their facilities are kept sanitized and clean. Anthony the assistant manager takes pride in his work and even cleans the bathrooms.

The first of the huge minuses is that it is very hot and stuffy, the head administrator woman is very impolite, argues with clients and cancels memberships without warning, simply because she personally did not like something about the person, so she canceled my friend's membership. Also, some exercise machines are out of order or do not work well, but no one has fixed it for two months. Another big minus is that there is no parking, that is, you need to pay for a membership and each visit to the gym you also need to pay for parking $ 3-4 per visit, per month comes out to a decent amount together with the membership, also the gym stinks because there is no ventilation. In general, a very uncomfortable gym, for your money for a membership and parking comes out to about $ 60 per month, for this money in the area there are many other comfortable gyms. I do Kena but a membership and do not want to visit you anymore

I hate wearing my phone/headphones when I work out, so its been a pleasant surprise that this gym has an amazing diverese selection of upbeat music from rock, pop, EDM, hip hop, etc. And what a friendly staff. On the first day I went in looked around no one bothered me with a hard sale, just got some information thought about and signed up when I was ready. Every time I go in, I always get a "hello welcome!" and every time I leave I get a "Thanks for coming in!" Really chill friendly vibe.

I come here 6 days a week in the mornings pretty much, every time I come here the staff has been very polite and friendly. This Gym is pretty clean , they do a good job maintaining it. I love that they have paper towels and disinfectant spray not like other gyms I have been to and don’t even provide it. Overall is pretty clean and friendly staff. I recommend this Gym location.

I always strive to maintain a positive mindset, but I recently had a troubling encounter with a couple who were incredibly rude. Their behavior was completely uncalled for and unacceptable. It's frustrating to see such a lack of courtesy toward others. Additionally, the machines are often filthy. It's disappointing that after using them, people don't take the time to wipe down their sweat, leaving behind a dirty environment for everyone else. Pretty sweet spot for planet fitness. Right in downtown glendale on brand. Depending on when you go im sure you'll run into trouble finding parking but when you do its at least cheap for 2 hours. Its located in a building upstairs. Fairly large and new.

Please don’t come to this gym it’s not worth it! Not worth your time and energy for 25 bucks a month when you staff literally trailing every single person in the locker room and when using the equipment. The owner must really be a cheap-skate who tells his employees to be on guard 24/7. Got my membership revoked because I fell asleep on the massage chairs and for taking to long getting dressed and using the bathroom for too long. Plus, the workers are rude and too young and act like robots.

This is actually a nice gym with a very friendly concept. It's pretty solid and open 24 hours. Welcoming staff too.

I prefer a gym with a dry sauna instead of this stupid gimmick crap that they're doing these days where you pay extra for a membership and get to sit in a dumb massage chair. Supposedly the tanning section doesn't even tan. So annoying.

When is that trend gonna go away? Just use the space for a sauna and stop trying to get people to go in this waste of square footage room full of massage chairs and gimmicky devices that barely do anything.

Very solid gym, the early morning team members (4-6am) are polite and always cleaning the gym. Equipment is new and well kept. Bathrooms always clean. Gym is open 24 hours. Overall best commercial gym you can go to.

(Shower experience review)
As the other reviews said, the water really is just luke warm and uncomfortable. It’s an easy fix, all they have to do is turn a knob to increase hot water temp in the furnace room.
A very big thumbs down is the fact that the women’s bathroom does not have a place for us to do hair/makeup or charge phones. The only area is the sink and not only is it not ideal to have electronics by the sink, other people need to use the area to wash their hands. So it’s like fighting for space in front of the mirror to do hair, charge, and wash hands. AND, there are no outlets in the BC lounge.
Showers were clean at the time of my visit.
Paying for parking is annoying.

Heed the warnings.

As a Planet Fitness member for 10+ years, having visited dozens of locations in multiple states, when a PF is rated the worst in its metropolitan area on Google despite being one of (if not the) newest location in that area, it's worth it to see what people are complaining about... especially if it's the reprehensibly awful staff who make you feel about as welcome as a wildfire. Those complaints, from my experience, are not hyperbole.

After showing up to this location for the first time and inquiring about a nearby surface parking lot (since no onsite parking exists), a question which received no helpful answer, I was allowed roughly 5 minutes in this location before being accosted by the same snooty young woman who proceeded to tell me I was working out too vigorously and had set off their patented "lunk alarm" by allowing one moving part of the machine I was using to make contact with another. This, by the way, was my first ever encounter with said alarm in any PF location - there goes the streak, I suppose - and the first time anyone took it upon themselves to tell me I was bothering the (four other) people in the gym that day, one of whom was my wife and none of whom seemed to notice me at all until I was approached.

I know the problem is not Planet Fitness. I know this is not how other PF locations operate. I'm accustomed to a place where I can work out at my own pace and mind my own business. This is the only one out of dozens of locations where this has not been the case, and oh to show your whole face so quickly.

If the boss is forcing these people to be sticklers for the rules, then the boss sucks. If they're not, it rings hollow to imply that I'm making other patrons feel intimidated when the staff are raring to do it themselves the second you walk in the door.

So congratulations, Glendale Planet Fitness, for plumbing a new depth. My desire not to return to your gym is a given - I was only in town for the day to do some shopping anyway - but you also convinced me, upon walking out, to then skip the Galleria and drive to Burbank because I didn't want to spend any money in the same zip code as you. Impressive!

Solid gym with mostly new equipment. Black card holders can work out at any planet fitness, so I took advantage of the fact that this was near my clinic.

The parking garage is about a block and a half away on orange st between California and Wilson Ave, and is easy to find. 90 minutes so be mindful of your time at the gym!

I was a member of Planet Fitness in my home state of Wisconsin before I moved to Los Angeles. I was surprised when I found out that Planet Fitness was here as well. However it was a distance from my place of residence so I had to join a different gym. After being here for a while I was happy to know that there was one only 7 miles from me now and joined. Made it a habit to go on weekends. Now there is one only a mile away and I attend 5 days a week and get a great workout. I recommend Planet Fitness to everyone for a good workout at an affordable price.

I haven’t even been inside of this gym yet — but the phone call that I had with Tyler was one that deserved these 5/5 stars. He was very attentive, patient and professional as he answered my questions about the parking lots (which he referred me to the structure on Orange). I appreciated his demeanor so much I had to rush and get this review out of the way. I signed up for a Pass that lasted us through the month because of our experience with the fires. The Planet Fitness employees even at the location on Ximeno in Long Beach has been nothing but accommodating and a pleasure to work with. I’m thankful for the experience and support that this gym has given me, and even previously preferring Gold’s Gym has me questioning who really is my favorite chain. Tonight's manager made me feel completely unwelcomed & uncomfortable. I just joined this week and tonight in the middle of my workout it seems as though the manager sent his staff to tell me my small gym bag was a problem. i was obligated to either purchase a lock from them at the front desk or hang my gym bag on my body at all times while exercising. It was 10pm on a Friday 12/27/24 and THE GYM WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY. Since neither options seemed fair to me, i chose to leave which is crazy because nothing like this has ever happened to me at any other gym even crowded gyms. Ironically planet fitness' motto is for everyone to feel welcomed.

Meanwhile the womens bathroom sinks are always dirty & some of the trashcans on the floor are overflowing. Of course everything else is clean because this a brand new gym. At least LA fitness always has bathroom attendants keeping it spotless & floor attendants maintaining the trashbins.

I was also lied to during the sales pitch. I was told I could bring a friend to the spa if I got the premium membership, the sole reason I upgraded. On my second visit, I brought my boyfriend, who drove from Westwood, only to be told that wasn’t allowed. If your staff gives the wrong info to close a sale, the least you can do is honor it once.

I am from out of town and visited this location, and was so impressed by the brand new machines, immaculate environment, ample cleaning supplies, and spaciousness! This gym is always clean and not too full during the day, which is amazing. The staff are all very kind, professional, and respectful. I love that they don’t allow people to get crazy with yelling and grunting. It’s a place of fitness, not a nightclub. The management really knows what they’re doing. The front desk staff are always so welcoming, especially the lady that helped me sign up - she’s the best. This might be the perfect gym. I am so happy I signed up!

I wish it wasn't so intimidating to walk into a new gym, but it really is and thankfully all of my nerves went away as soon as I went to this new location. The person who helped me at the front desk was so kind and helpful, not pushy and at all, and took time to give me a tour and explain everything. It actually helps me look forward to going again and I couldn't recommend them more. Super clean, not very crowded at all, and all of the machines and space you could want.

This is my 5am experience.
It's clean
Those who are there (probably five people lol at most seven) are very respectful and work their program without hogging any machines.
Locker rooms are clean.
Equipment is new. I've only seen ONE machine that was out of service.
Parking - there's a lot behind Goodwill and meter parking. At 5am there's tons of places to park.
BYO: toiletries if you plan to shower there and lock if you plan to store your things in the lockers. This gym doesn't provide them

I have been a member of Planet Fitness for some years and am happy that there is a Planet Fitness in Glendale.
The reason I have given 4 stars is because of what I have witnessed already. We have certain members who hog the dumbbells by grabbing several sets to use. This makes it very inconvenient for other members to use.
I also have seen certain members bring in gym bags that should be stored in a locker. This being allowed will lead to cable attachments being taken.
I have brought up my concerns to the front desk staff several times. I am hoping that these concerns will be addressed. I would hate for Planet Fitness to turn out like LA Fitness which also has these issues but choose not to address.

Was considering transfering because it's a little closer than the other PF I go to, but it was really hot without any of the usual fans that PF has. Seems like the AC is set more for the comfort of employees than the customers. I ended up dripping sweat into my eyes more than usual. The parking in the area only allows up to 90 minutes free, which is another reason I decided to stay at my current PF. Other than that, it's spacious, has more machines than mine, and staff was super friendly. It's great other the parking and warm air inside.

Absolutely great facility, equipment and staff but unfortunately only 2 hour limit payed parking or 2hr limit free parking 2 blocks away (strictly enforced) available. For those of us who the gym is our daily routine that’s $3.30/ 2 hrs daily $19.80 per 6days, $79.80/month, $950.40 per year! Not to mention the workout feels rushed and timed. Hopefully something gets resolved regarding this cause it’s the only issue I’ve run into! Great place tho!

Very happy with this locaiton. The staff are friendly & helpful.
They have everything needed for weight/stregth training, plenty of Cardio machines - row, bikes (differnt kinds), Stair masters, Tons of Treadmills & plent of Elipticals. Tv's hooked to each (not for me but I am sure many will like that) - Balls, Ropes, and bunch of other stuff. Love that there are 3 different areas with mirrors for free weight lifting and lots of benches. They DO NOT have that little 30 mins whole body area, HOWEVER just go from one to the next for 30 mins LOL :) The spa area is cozy - they have 3 Hdyro Massage, 2 Reg massage chairs AND a CRyo? therapy hydro chair, Gets super cold or Hot - it's truly awesome. I have not tried the Red light therapy booth or the tanning - but they are there. They are open 24 hrs and get in before it gets super loved LOL :) Plenty of parking btw - free
