Easy to use, great for when traveling especially, I use them when I work out of town/state and this one is chill.
Large workout area, rarely too full but can get busy sometimes.
Good tanning and hydro massage area, great perk for when you are overworked.
Locker rooms standard, bathrooms usually cleaner than the showers, the changing rooms and shower stalls could be cleaner. The water goes colder and less pressure when others flush, the shower heads are poor and need descaling.
Overall a mellow collegiate type location where you can do what is needed for your workout and health.

I had the greatest experience with one of the workers here at the Goleta Planet Fitness. His name was Grant Caruso. He single handedly made my day so much better and helped me hit a great push day workout. He truly is a ray of sunshine in this gym. Whenever I come in and I get to see him it always gives me great motivation to work hard.

Very sanitary. My cousin and I went to this gym and we were pleased with how clean it was. As a beginner, my cousin wasn’t well versed with the equipment. However, a man named Grant helped him out in a very proficient manner. He made us feel so safe in this brand new environment and I’ve consistently seen him working with a smile there ever since. Truly impressed with the service here! Finally, absolutely love how quiet it is, with a machine or bench available at all times! Looking forward to more sets and reps at this fine institution.

Manager threatened me to pick me out after I made sound of loud, humiliating customer “pick me out” rather then than asking courtesy, I was frustrated all setting up crime. A guy came next to me all treadmill is empty these guy looks like set up to frustrating customer they know who i am , actually I listened ear phone myself not easily knowing loud or not.
And manager “paul” kicked me out of the gym,

I love this gym because of the staff, environment, and obviously equipment. I am always greeted with the best energy from Itzel and shes the reason I continue working out here. Overall, I've just had some of the most wonderful experiences here at the Planet Fitness in Goleta. In comparison to other gyms, this Planet Fitness is much more inviting and friendly when compared to other gyms. Specifically, the staff is well trained and extremely friendly throughout the day, whether I go early in the morning or late at night. Specifically, Grant, is one of, if not the best employees that I have ever met. No matter the time of day, it seems like Grant is always at work, with a huge smile and a positive attitude. One time I fell whilst doing pull ups and Grant caught me before I even hit the ground. I don't know how he does it, but Grant is such an amazing worker and should be one of the main reasons why you should go to the Planet Fitness in Goleta.

This is by far my favorite gym that I've been to. I've been to a couple other local PF locations and by far prefer this one. I recently trialed the local YMCA and didn't like it at all compared to this PF. I've been coming here for 6 months and haven't had any negative experiences. The only con I can think of is that one stair climber has been constantly down for maintenance but with 5 others it's not a big deal. As long as the equipment and drinking fountain are maintained I'll gladly keep coming here.

Only complaint is that there’s only one pair of cables with 1.5 lb increments (way in the back in the 360 area). So if a single person is on them, no beginners can do shoulders. Other than that no complaints, everything on the main floor is maintained and clean. The machines are all in better condition than at the UCSB rec cen.

i’ve been to PF all over the country and this is the only place i’ve seen these bars setup for smurf height

Honestly, I have been to many Planet Fitness facilities all over the country. This is the BEST Service personnel I have encountered so far.
It's a known fact that I am pretty computer illiterate. The sweet Itzel was SO kind to input the many pages and pages and pages of information needed to reopen my account.

Yessi was more than accommodating of helping me purchase merchandise and product.

The highlight of the incredible service is the manager VIVIAN who gave me ideas and suggestions of how to put my life back together again. YES, it's true that I am Cancer free for the second time. However, the consequences of chemotherapy and radiation has taken its toll on my mental, emotional and physical BEING.

With a high five and a smile from ear to ear, VIVIAN says, "Let's do this!"

Lara was wonderful and so friendly and so informative. She took the time to explain each and every room and it's functions.

Bjorn came into the locker rooms while I was using them and cleaned up the bathroom. There was water all over the counters and floor by the sinks and he came in and quickly wiped everything down and made sure the bathroom was in order.

I cant believe this place only a year old and yet the woman’s shower & locker area so unkept, moldy and scummy curtains and walls ,Shower features, seems never been cleaned for the whole year. Floors are full of hair and debris, Too bad Housekeeping is not keeping up with the job.

The equipment is new and well-maintained, everything is super clean, and the overall atmosphere is great. The people who work out here are respectful and considerate. The staff is also really friendly and always willing to help if you have any questions. It’s also very beginner-friendly, so if you’re new to the gym, you won’t feel out of place here.

I got the Black Card membership, and I love the extra perks. The red light therapy is great for skin, and the hydro massage is amazing—perfect for relieving sore muscles after a workout.

Running a business in Goleta isn’t easy, so I really hope they continue to do well. They’re definitely providing a great service to the community. Highly recommend this gym!

This was by far the dirtiest bathroom I have been to at a planet fitness. There is trash everywhere, trash in the shower stalls, and the shower floors look like it's never been cleaned. I'm pretty sure i saw some poop stains on the shower and there’s water stains all over the sink. Wow! I’m surprised management let this place be this bad. 2 stars because at least the water was hot.

I love this planet fitness, it is a bit smaller compared to other ones I have been to which limits the amount/variety of machines but there is still a good amount of options for a well rounded work out. The gym itself is what you'd expect from PF: clean, easy to navigate and generally convenient. The clientele, on the other hand, has zero concept of gym etiquette: lots of camping on stations and machines, selfie opportunities and silliness. In 30+ minutes the 4 smith machines (only options for squat) were monopolized by a gaggle of distracted and lethargic gym chicks. Been to better locations.
