I'm given this location one star.. the woman bathroom is always dirty and the soap dispensary is broken the sink is broken.. this has been broken for months. Too many pre teen are still coming in September..all treadmill needs repair. Other PF has hip thurst and they need to update this PF

Hawaiian gardens planet fitness is very clean and the staff are all very helpful. Great atmosphere and any question you have or concern they are eager to help in any way possible. We travel and go to several planet fitnesses and this one by far is one of the best we have been too. Will continue to come in and workout here. Great experience every time. Dirty bathrooms, the shower curtains are so dirty they're white. The faucets don't work. The staff are all rude, rarely greeting you when you arrive or leave. The manager isn't very friendly either. The atmosphere at this gym is very strange.

I noticed very suspicious people in the parking lot and inside, who aren't even dressed for the gym. And just walk around the showers are never kept up with neither the bathroom. Very, dirty, they do a good job, cleaning the machines.

Came here with my sister and enjoyed a clean, simple & quick workout with no issues. The cardio equipment wasn't too our liking but plenty of other stuff to do with a large & clean locker room and love the TV layout. Compared to 24 HR Fitness Long Beach & Cerritos this is actually open 24/7 (M-Th). Not sure why 24 Hour Fitness gets away with deceptive lies & false advertising and charge double! NOT fair to this facility or other comparable gyms :)

This is my favorite location. I like the fact their is a constant flow of traffic and you don't have to wait for the equipment like other gyms. Am at the planet fitness in Hawaiian Garden right now I have the black card membership told lady at the desk I'd like to use the hydro message chair and she was very rude like I didn't know what I was talking about. She had a nasty unprofessional attitude and replied you mean the hydro message bed instead of explaining that some locations have the hydro message chairs and others have the bed. She acted as though I had woke he up from a deep sleep and was bothering her personal at home time🤔. This was my first time at this location and will never be back!

I almost didn’t want to write this review because it would probably lead to more people crowding this gym, but I am a man of my word and it was too good not to review so here we go!

To start, I haven’t been to this gym in over a few years, but decided to randomly drop in with my girlfriend a month ago before we headed out to the beach for a fresh swim. From the moment I stepped inside, I could not help but to be amazed on how clean and neatly organized the facility was. I have OCD and attend about 5 different gyms so believe me when I say this one stands out vs the rest (big box gyms like golds la fitness 24 etc..)
The weights are always back in place, the members are very friendly , they have state of the art equipment, the bathrooms are up kept and smelling fresh, and the machines aren’t always occupied like being at the DMV.

As far as the man known as “Oscar” leading the whole place - is a fantastic GM. He’s a great guy who has attention to detail, from his military background, very professional, friendly and is good at what he does. I’m a business savvy guy and I have nothing to critique here. I wouldn’t change a darn thing it’s too perfect… aside from maybe just a little bit more air condition in the 30 min exercise room haha :)

But great pick for the man Oscar to lead the charge here, he is doing a fantastic job and I hope he’s being well compensated ! I will definitely make it a weekly activity to drive here from 25mins+ away since I love it so much. Please keep up the great work!

I trave around so from my own experiences with this plannet fitness maybe 7th time now and that is enough for me to give my own personal review. I love this club it's always clean, staff is friendly. I was here at the this club 3 times In a day once and the club was always clean and that's one of the most important things for me is the cleanliness of a bathroom and oh boy is up there cause the 3 times I was there the bathroom was clean and i always saw someone attending it. I always see someone walking around checking up on the machines cleaning stations or cleaning. I really recommend you check this place out for yourself but it's great big,clean,friendly lots of parking and machines to use and the area is safe are too. This Club has a lot to offer but don't take my word for it check it yourself.

This place used to be really really bad, but it has improved dramatically recently:

They installed bright lighting for their parking lot. It used to be really dark at night.

They upgraded most of their equipment. Most of their machines are now newer than neighboring Planet Fitness clubs.

Members are polite to each other.

Laith is one of the employees here, he is very tall, and very friendly/helpful, always with a positive attitude.

Oscar is the new manager. He is always in the locker room - cleaning! I reported to him that the bench in the locker room has a screw lose. He came back with tools in less than 60 seconds and went to work. In less than 5 min, he was sweating but he fixed it! I think he should get an Oscar for it!

Your sign claims you monitor the area to make sure people are doing the 30-minute circuit, but not once did an employee come by, as I was cut off twice. First, I told the guy to move. Second, time I just walked away after attempting to wait through 2 sets. I should not have to ask guests that is the employee's job.

2 months ago I joined Planet Fitness,. I joined the one in the Hawaiian Gardens location, 3 blocks away from me. I'm satisfied with my entire experience since I've gone about 5 times now as I post. They have equipment to meet the Fitness requirements of the average person.

I have been to several other Planet Fitness locations and I have to say that this is for sure the nicest one I have ever been to. Compared to other locations, this one is a lot more quiet, clean, the staff are very hospitable and I just want to say that I see a lot of other reviews giving this place flack and it is so not deserved.

The workers here do what they can to keep the gym running at an optimal condition. A lot of the things I have seen people complain about is out of their control. Like the toilets or showers breaking down and not working, the homeless people in the parking lot, and even some of the machines on the gym floor being broken.

Stop complaining. I am going to come right out and say that. A lot of the time, when things are broken or not working like that, it is because of the members who attend the gym, not because of the staff. And the people who come to this gym are some real characters, that is my only gripe with this place.

Other than this, I am more than pleased and satisfied with the plethora of equipment here. They have a TRX, pull-up bars, smith machines, dumbbells, cable towers and all kinds of machines for upper and lower body, as well as treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, stair masters and even row machines.

I like this gym. Got what it is you get a good array of machines and cardio options. Massage beds are nice and mine even has a meditation area. You can also tan if you are a black card member. Everything depends on what location you visit. Some are nice and quiet and others are too busy.

Just went in to use restroom was attacked verbally by 1 of the employees with an attitude saying I was lieing about the time I came in yes it was 8 am but I have been going in and out ..I' been parked outside the gym going in & out threw out the day without out scanning so I don't have to pay a franchise fee which is what I told him as soon as I came in ........ this guy was so argumentive he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about..I'm going to report him to his manager ..was planning on making this gym my home gym since I didn't feel safe at the 1 in Lynnwood I try to go to a PF That's close to my job Which is 6 minutes away so I don't have to drive far Had no problems going in & out during the day until 10:20 pm he needs some customer service skills .. getting himself all worked up over nothing further more you say your doing your job ..YOUR JOB IS NOT TO ARGUE WITH CUSTOMERS ..!!!! customers may be right at times if you want to maintain a business & keep it going & make customers happy take ownership of an issue in a civilized Manor ...DIRTY DEVIL !!!!!!!😈 LORD GIVE ME STRENGTH OUT HERE DEALING WITH ALL THESE PEOPLE.. 🙏🙏

Not sure which PF this is I'm reviewing . The one in HG is in my top 5 I have ever been too . Also the one in Torrance is nice . I was gonna go to one near DTLA I believe but there are junkies passed out on the sidewalk and no safe place to park my car do I never went inside and drove to Torrance. It's 2023 and HG is still one of the best besides Chatsworth

I tried getting a membership again at PF and seemed like they really didn't want my business. Had to have a physical copy of my checking account in order for me to get a membership or at least that's how I understood. I turned around and left only to go try Crunch fitness center and I told them what happened at PF and said that my biggest mistake was to go there in the first place lol 😂 I opened an account with Crunch fitness and PF lost a customer and at least I don't have to worry about the lunk alarm 🚨 lol

I love going to planet fitness but this is by far the worst one I had forgotten my phone in the gym 20 mins after I left and when I returned in a panic I had quickly parked in front the business by handicap because I was not expecting to be there that long after 25 frustrated minutes of searching and finally getting a staff member to assist and find it I walk out the gym to see that they had me towed and tell me sorry ...had you not argued with me and spent time assisting me finding my phone and telling me it's not your RESPONSIBILITY I would have never been towed i will never come to this location again everyone should do the same it sad cause I really like this location.

Better staff. Better location. Nevertheless, why does an 80 square mile city (Long Beach) with half a million people only have two PFs within it's city limits? LB is the 2nd largest city in LA County, 2nd largest in the LA-LB metro area, and the 3rd largest in SoCal, and the 6th largest in Cali, but it only has 2 PFs! There should be a PF in Downtown and at the Marina. Very good locations. The Marina can bring in lots of customers from the OC cities that straddle East LB, esp being centrally located near the 605 and 22 freeways and near PCH and 2nd Street in Downtown Belmont Shores, and the Central Downtown PF can bring in tons of people being centrally located. Duh!

Use your head PF corporate. It is very inconvenient not having such locations readily available. A MEGA PF in Downtown LB would be fantastic 😍😍😍😍. With all the new high rise flats and condos and lofts and housing units being built; the construction boom has brought tens of thousands of new residents to Downtown LB.

I will try to continuously update this review since visiting this location is frequent.

This gym comes up short on a number of things. I will try to note them as we move along. But 4 stars is generous considering what will be shared.

MEMBER RESPONSIBILITY
At the times I am at the gym, I am constantly being observant. And too often --approaching half of the time, or half of the members I see using exercise equipment around me-- these members are not cleaning up and wiping down what they just used.
One instance, one woman walked away from the equipment, while it seemed her female companion was to be responsible for wiping down this woman's and her own equipment. But trust me, the efforts put into this cleaning were very light.

Don't get me started on Little Ms. Blue Brat who Saturday at about 1:30 pm finished her steps workout and DID NOT CLEAN her machine when done.
Hence you see why she was referenced as a Brat.
Also, who the hell reads a book while doing stairs? Would love to see that injury lawsuit in court.

Is it too much to further encourage members to clean up after use?
Perhaps this portion of the review is not so much for the staff and workers there at Planet Fitness, but to bring to the attention of members that they should do more to help in this small courtsey of leaving the equipment clean for the next member.

STAFF CLEANING
It has become a rare instance that I see a staff member walking around helping clean up. Whether it is a wipe down to the equipment --as is needed from the note above-- to vacuuming, cleaning windows and mirrors.
Heck, maybe even get to the fans that have accumulated dust once a month.

I updated my review.The management never contacted me or reply it. First of all,I have been 5 years membership at PF.I don’t want to give one start the location. but PF staff Diana and her friend (other lady) I don’t know her name.They don’t know CR (customer relationships) They need good education and training. They have to take CRM class from an University. Also,I read reviews everyone complained about Diana behavior.Diana and her friend aren’t friendly at work.Yesterday was raining and my sport shoes were wet.I wasn’t able to dry and use it at PF.I have sandals but Diana friend made a problem.Diana also wanted block my membership.She wanted to call my home PF club. Her friend was gone.Diana just kept talking me. Normally I would say this gym is great and clean. The staff is real nice, however I think that management needs to enforce their policies and make sure the environment is better for people going.

Recently there have been frequent occurrences such as groups of 6+ boys at one machine, people taking over 3+ sets of weights/machines with no consideration, people not placing things back they just leave them around, people on phone calls, on August 16th there was a guy at the free weights playing his own music on speaker phone, also I’m attaching this photo of a man that took over 2 benches to sit on one and place all of his stuff on the other you will also notice that there aren’t enough benches cuz people are moving them throughout the gym.

I just hope that the employees are actively paying attention and making sure people are being decent gym goers.

This PF STAFF (Diana) at this club is the worst employee ever. She is very immature,and has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. She has a negative attitude and uses her employment to bully customers. She refused to let me workout because of an issue she said I had with my home club, she was loud and embarrassing at front desk with my personal account. After humiliating me I speak with my home club and they were SHOCKED at how she handled the situation and said she was a horrible representative for Planet Fitness. There was no issue with my home club. She acted like a tyrant for NO REASON other than she has authority issues. Her outbursts and embarrassment of customers is unprofessional ..Her negative attitude has kept my workout team of 10 far away from that location. I've been a member of this gym for a couple of years now. (5 years if I remember correctly). I love how well kept this gym is. Staff are continuously wiping down equipment, and it's never crowded to the point where I cannot use my favorite machines.

I stopped going during the pandemic (2020), but after getting my vaccine, went back in after a 1 year hiatus and gym still is well kept. I love planet fitness, and their judgement - free zone atmosphere. Will continuously go to this gym as long as I live in the area.

Cancelled my membership due to the way they handle the mask mandate. Even if you’re wearing you mask over your nose, they will stop you in the middle of your workout to remind you to keep it over your nose. Like what!?! When I complained about him to the manager, he immediately knew who I was talking about saying he had anger problems and many other complaints about him from other people as well... and that he was going to have a talk with him again. Then the last straw was when he disrespected my husband and there was another argument there. Who gets hired at a place with a problem like that...where everytime you visit he makes everything difficult because he has issues? We didn't pay to go to a place to have more stress and problems, I earned points on "Belly" rewards too, I chose a towel and they couldn't even gave me what I earned because the manager wasn't present at the time. The reason we used to go to this place was because they offer a good price and it's close to our house but again it's not the place it's the people that change everything and customer service is always a plus to us in order for us to support a business.

This is a nice gym. Very clean and the staff is friendly. Depending on the time you can literally have the gym all to yourself. I had to cancel my membership because I don't live in the area anymore.

Location, gym size, massage machine, friendly folks!!! This is my favorite location,
BUT the showers have little pressure and the water could get warmer and last longer instead of cooling. I'd rather have a hot shower with strong water pressure than so many tvs to choose from! LOL!!!.The white flowers outside look great!! I feel comfortable going into this gym. And it's so nice to be able to grab an ink pen with the gym logo.

If you want to work out and leave this is the place for you! Its very spacious no one really bothers anyone. I have been going to this location for over a year and I will say the staff can be more friendly but over all it is a good place to lift and go home
