After being a member of that particular gym for over 6 months, I started to like it. There are great service staff, always helpful. Many cleaning stations. Parking now watched by parking guards. Highly recommend! I visited many planet fitness gyms in SF bay area, this one is the best planet fitness! Wifi is good now.
Just today found that homeless was using locker, saw him put his dirty pillow into the locker. It's not sanitary, not hygienic, put other people in danger with bugs. I volunteered in shelter for homeless, I know how unsanitary their clothes are.

while I generally enjoy the gym, the recent summer promotion has made it VERY crowded. It's frustrating to pay for a membership and not be able to use the equipment I need because of the influx of people taking advantage of the free summer passes. I understand wanting to attract new members, but it shouldn't come at the expense of paying customers. There needs to be limited slots, times or days. Paying customers are not being appreciated

Pros:
The gym is clean, spacious, and has lots of equipment. The hours are great.
Cons:
They don't have enough dumbbells (only two sets of each weight): all it takes is one person to carry a few into the other room and there's a long wait time.
Bad music:
Forget your headphones once, suffer through awful techno and Temu-quality remixes or pop radio hits that are just not good for working out.
They used to have disenfectant spray for the showers. That's one area they shouldn't be saving.
But they keep the place clean.

My wife canceled her membership via phone call 3 years ago because she moved to Sacramento. She thought she was done at that time. I checked her account and Planet fitness has been charging her routine $10 monthly. I called and explained the situation. They confirmed she has not checked in over 3 years. They also wanted to charge an additional $79 to cancel her membership but this time cancel it online. Seriously?? I will be following the procedure as they say but will take matters to court the moment I see another monthly charge of $10.

Fraudulent company so be careful with your transaction and especially monitor your account if you believe you canceled your membership. Its 50/50 with this company.

For a judgement free zone they sure seem to judge you a lot also if your planning of getting stronger you will hit a wall of not enough weight lifting equipment and low weight on what they do have this place is definitely for fat people that only use cardio equipment

I went to this PF location for the first time today. It was GREAT! It's quite large; larger than any other PF I've been to in the Bay area. Very clean, tons of equipment. I don't like that so many people use the 30 minute circuit to do their own exercises. It's virtually impossible to do the circuit with people doing that, but that's a problem at all planet fitness locations, even though they have a sign that says "30 minutes circuit only". There was one couple that was taking up two machines for about 20 minutes. 🙄. But I enjoyed this location. I like their black card area as well. 2 thumbs up!

I love the layout of this planet fitness. I wish all planet fitness locations were designed like this one. It's very spacious. There is mirrors everywhere so you can lift anywhere. Also there is a hip thrust machine and a squat machine ladies! Never seen these two equipments in a planet fitness.

Very spacious and I like the vibes. It's underground with low light for that "flex lighting". Most of the machines are well spaced out except the cardio. The Stairmasters are way too close to each other. Constantly bumping into the person next to you.

Compared to the PF back in my hometown of Rowland Heights, this one is way bigger with more machines.

The gym is very large and has lots of new equipment, though there seemed to be a shortage of benches near the dumbbell racks. There were also lots of doubles for the strength machines and a very large selection of them. This is the first planet fitness I have been to that had a whole separate room for stretching.

Overall, the staff were friendly I enjoyed my workout.

Been going here for about a year. Machines work enough to get a work out in, accessible towels and spray to wipe down equipment Nothing too significant. It's bigger than some planet fitnesses I've visited. Bathrooms are kinda gross, but I feel like thats most gyms.

Hace ya varios dias decidi cancelar mi membresia debido a la inseguridad que hay en ese Mall, robaron mi carro hace unos meses, decidi continuar hasta que hace unos dias quebraron los vidrios de mi carro y de todos los que estaban estacionados, y resulto que el dia que hice la cancelacion casualmente habian cobrado el anual free a lo que solicite un reembolso ya que no es justo que lo pague si ya no voy a ir, la chica que me atendio dijo que pasarian el dato a la manager porque nunca esta que se comunicarian conmigo para confirmar el reembolso, he esperado y nunca se comunicaron, he llamado varies veces y solo me dicen que aun no tienen respuesta del reembolso que se comunicarian conmigo, sigo esperando y nada. By far the best gym in the East Bay. From Milpitas to Berkeley. I would say the Bay Club in Pleasanton is better but I’d actually rather go to this planet fitness than the bay club in Fremont. Just the fact that I’m putting those 2 in the same sentence might sound crazy but the staff here is ACTUALLY nice. I’m not one to ask too many questions but whenever I needed something I felt like the vibe was there. The workers look like they get along and happy to be there. Happy to do their job. Happy to help. The gym itself is big. My girlfriend goes to Equinox in Berkeley and she’ll still come with me to planet fitness and loves it. There’s always machines available and everyone always cleans their machines. This place is already very clean but please keep that up. Especially in the bathroom. A clean gym is almost impossible to find especially in Hayward so I think that’s a huge selling point. The 24 & city sports are so filthy I would not consider them. Now, let’s forget about the gym itself and talk about all the massage machines they offer. Even if I don’t want to workout, I’m still coming in for a massage. This place is clean, friendly, and feels like a safe environment to workout in. I have no idea why anyone would pay to go to city sports or 24, unless you really want the pool & sauna. Maybe. But still their pool, saunas, locker rooms are disgusting so it’s not even worth it.

Since I moved to California this is by far the best Planet Fitness that I’ve worked out at. The bathroom were clean and the showers actually had shower heads in the shower. There was young man working the front desk by the name Jarred, he was very helpful on my visit. This location also has the new Cryo Lounge, it felt great. Overall great experience.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at this Planet Fitness branch. Despite being a member for 5 years, Club Manager Jenna Sellers cancelled my membership without prior notice or investigation. I was treated disrespectfully by one of her team members named Diasy, who also falsely accused me violating the policy by having a friend joining me and prevented me from working out. When I refused to leave, she called the police, which was embarrassing. I expect a higher level of professionalism and respect from the management and staff.
Unfortunately, my experience was unacceptable.
No one reached out to help me except by reaching out to the Corporate Office. I’m not satisfied with this Club Staff and Management!!

LOVE this Planet Fitness. So Far…THE BEST location. Showers and lockers room are very clean and cleaned often. They provide soap in the shower (which smells marvelous!), and spray to spray down the shower before and afterwards. The equipment is all new and clean, and the atmosphere is really good. Everyone in here seems SO nice & respectful. If you have any questions at all, just see Cecilia or Jenna! And on the weekends…Jasmine has ALWAYS got a big smile just waiting for you! Canceling my Planet Fitness subscription proved quite frustrating. They demanded an in-person visit, even after telling them that I moved out of city. They could've verified my details over the phone . Requiring a handwritten signature in an email felt outdated for 2023. On 10/23/2023 at approximately 8:30 pm, I was parked almost directly in front of the gym. As I sat in my car someone broke the back passenger window and attempted to steal items from my car. I startled them by yelling at them and honking the horn. They casually walked to their vehicle and drove away. This is while I observed security patrolling the parking lot. I’m had an assignment here for 4 months. Let me just say this gym is AMAZING. The staff here are EXCELLENT. They are very kind, respectful and they keep the gym very clean. I’ve never had any big issues here and the people that workout here are very respectful as well. This gym does get pretty busy around 3-8 pm. That’s just how it is. I actually had a 24 hour membership but this PF gym surpassed any of them by a mile. This PF has multiple squat machines which is very important for me. 10/10 gym!!!
