There is an Indian father and son who come here every day just to use the shower room. He hangs his bag in front of the shower room and then stands at the sink to shave and brush his teeth. After he finishes showering, he calmly stands at the sink to dress, hanging his bag and leaving his belongings in the shower room, completely ignoring the other members waiting to use the limited number of shower rooms.

Only open on "rich people schedule " hours, the showers are filthy and covered in black mold, the soap dispensers are always empty, all of them, and its not very cool of them closing at 7pm on weekends and not even opening til late also. It can't be that hard have employees actually clean the facility, you can do it while it's closed every weekend, or every night during the weekdays, since you close at 10:00pm then. I've been there plenty of times during closing and they are literally in their cars by 10:01 pm

Tonight I went to planet fitness, Huntington Beach I have been a member there for about four years. I was called the N-word by a member. I reported it to the manager Kevin , I was upset. He contacted mellissa. Curtin she decided to cancel my membership because I repeated the word several time as I explain to Kevin the manager , I was the victim tonight not her they took my money it’s a rip off, she’s the tyrant at planet fitness. All the employees dislike her. I’ve heard a lot of negativity about her but tyrant they make their own rules. She terminated employees she terminates membership for no cause I was the victim tonight. and the worst part about it is, I can’t even go above her so I will be posting everywhere about her and Planet Fitness she’s the tyrant and she’s the problem. Always hot and humid. Employees use lunk alarm to tell people the gym is closing soon. Closing early on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays is very dumb and inconvenient. Every time I go people are not wiping down machines. I can't find anything good to say about this place.

I have been with PF off and on for 10 years! That's why I was so excited to join here in Huntington Beach. I got the Black Card because I enjoy the 10 minute Massage Chair after my work out. Now the manager has reduced that time to 5 minutes! Now I would understand if there was a line but today I was the first client to sign up in 30 minutes. If this policy is going to remain I will just drop my Black Card and go with the less expensive Basic Plan! Shame on the manager!

My stars keep getting lower & lower… I’ve been got for about a month~ I come back and the same issue… women’s showers have not been clean since I left~ mildew on ALL 4 showers walls & floors.
Trash all on the floor by shower, staff was acting as if she was cleaning the mirrors & sink area ~
I ask her( but I already knew the answer) if they ever clean these showers she said NO I NEVER see them clean them (which means she never cleans them either…I didn’t say anything any further~

I spend my $ 25:05 every month~ at least you can have a nice facility… u got new equipment a few months back but lack in other major areas…. So ridiculous! I wonder what the health department would say about ALL THE MILDEW …
You can get spray cleaner from the dollar store that will remove mildew…

First time visiting, parking is not RV or 18-wheeler friendly, limiting parking out front & in the back. Not too busy on a Friday afternoon, but busy Monday through Thursday afternoon. Bathrooms are a little dirty, male and female, some of the paper towel holders are empty, and one of the paper towels all the way in the back by the new bench press machine slits. The papers when they come out, so it's just wasted paper and they are not replacing it.
Compared to other Planet fitnesses, this one definitely has an air conditioning and air circulation issue as there are no overhead fans like almost every other Planet Fitness moving air around, and they have the front doors open so any air conditioning they have is just going out the doors. Very humid inside. If I lived here. This would not be a Planet Fitness site I would make as my primary one. I'd see if there's another one in a different city as I like Planet fitness's because they are convenient around the United States and Australia.

Not in all of them but atleast 1 in each district within the center area of other planet fitness so if people want that option it is available to them. I fear that im just dreaming of a dream. Manager Miguel is completely rude. Been coming to this location with my son and hundreds of others around the country with my son who is a professional football player and no issues ever. This time since he’s here he decides to ask for his ID which he did not have and would not let him in. Ive also brought in other guests and no one has ever asked for an Id. And all I hear is some excuse that he can’t speak for other clubs and he will speak to his staff. You mean to tell me I’ve been here 20 times at his location he RUNS AND PROUD OF NOT ONE PERSON HAS EVER ASKED FOR A GUEST IS AT HIS CLUB. GUESS WHAT. NOT AT ANY OTHER CLUBS. He literally made it up out of thin air. I’m not buying it. I will be making a formal complaint to corporate. I also have a La fitness membership and typically choose here but I’ll be going more to that location. The only good thing is he allowed my guest to try the massage. Hence the one star is for him only. The other staff is actually cool nice genuine people with the opposite running it. Bad choice from corporate on this one.

I am very upset. I have been a member of Planet Fitness for years, but Planet Fitness canceled my membership through no fault of mine. Now they are telling me that I will need to pay an additional monthly fee to re-enroll, even though it was the fault of Planet Fitness who canceled my membership.

Additional review: As you requested I called the HB Planet Fitness and asked to speak to the manager. However, manager was busy and advised the employee to tell me that he was not able to fix the issue at this time. The person on the phone told me that I will need to wait until Monday for an answer from operations department. In the meantime, it was not offered to me to be able to utilize the gym while waiting on Planet Fitness to fix the problem that it created. Very poor customer service, in my opinion.

The handicap shower has a broken chair. Two weeks ago I fell off of it when it collapsed. Told the front desk. Went back in and the same cheap seat is in there with the broken leg just bent back into shape, waiting like a trap for its next victim. This is unacceptable and an OSHA violation. I visit Planet Fitness across the Country. The mold here is the worst I have seen.

Planet fitness happily overcharged me on my membership for months when I brought it up to them, they ignored my discovery. Rather than deal with the on-site staff, which clearly have no power in the matter it was just easier to quit, and call it a day.

I’ve been coming here for a week and always dread it as the showers are the most disgustingly filthy showers I’ve ever seen in a gym and you know I’ve worked in tens of thousands of gyms in 45 countries. How they can possibly leave the buckets of mould on the shower walls and floors and keep those dirty shower curtains is beyond me. I feel dirtier after having a shower but since I work close to this particular Planet fitness I have no choice. They desperately need to DEEP CLEAN and scrub the mould off the shower walls and floors especially since some people can be allergic to certain types of mould and could have a seriously adverse reaction and possibly end up in hospital or dead from the contamination. It is a disgrace

There's only 1 reason I'm only giving 3 stars instead of 5. The facility is amazing, I exercised, tanned, and used a massage chair. However, this was my first time ever to a planet fitness, I bought the premium package and once I was done signing up and paid the worker literally was done with me. No tour, no showing me how things work, I didn't even know where the locker room was so I carried my bag around with me. Next time I'll be asking for a tour so I know where everything is..

Within 24 hours of me posting the first part, the owner of the company took the time to apologize and let me know that they want customers to feel comfortable and will absolutely give me that tour when I come back. Also, I truly hope I didn't cause a problem for any staff member. I'm confident that staff expectations will be addressed. Nobody is perfect and everyone has bad days so I bet I will be able to change my 3 stars to 5 stars after my next visit.

This particular club is a scam hut. When COVID hit they closed the club as they did with all fitness centers. The difference here is that they continued to charge me every month even though the club was not open for business. When I called to complain about this they told me the only way that they would not continue to charge me is if I canceled my membership. Then they told me the only way I could cancel the membership was with the manager in person. Again, the club was not open. I finally had to close down my bank account in order to get them to stop. I recently went in to see if I could open a new account and they told me they could not do it until I paid the past due balance. I explain to the girl behind the desk what had happened and she said I needed to talk to their new manager. She gave me his email address and I sent him an email. It's been 3 weeks now and still no response. Do yourself a favor and avoid this club like the plague. I finally opened an account at the planet fitness on harbor boulevard in Costa Mesa. They are open 24 hours, the Huntington Beach club was not, and there was no problem opening the account here. Stay away from HB planet fitness.

I've been using Planet Fitness for probably two years now.
The positives-
The Goldenwest/Garfield location in HB has a lot of machines to choose from. The ladies bathroom is large and has showers and a private changing room for the more modest. They have a lot of cleaning stations that usually have plenty of spray and paper towels for cleaning machines before and after use. 90% of the time I'm there, a staff member is walking around wiping down machines, walls, and glass. That is nice! Another positive is the Black Member perks. They have 2 standing tanning beds, 2 hydro massage beds, 2 regular massage chairs, and 1 red light therapy thing you stand in. I use these machines as much as possible. Massagers work well and the red light machine shakes and seems to calm down all those tired muscles. Oh and also, if you are a Black card holder, you get discounts on drinks and you can just charge them to your account instead of having to take a cc with you.
The negatives-
There have been times when I get on a machine, and it's broken (a couple of times). The screens are often broken on the treadmills (not an issue for me since I listen to audio books while there, but some may find this irritating). Sometimes the bathrooms are out of tp, bathroom floors a mess with trash, and no handwash. This is infrequent, but enough to mention it because it has been an issue for me.
I have not used the showers there so I cannot really comment on those but I will say there are 3 in the ladies room (I think) and someone is always using them so they must work well.
Overall, I would recommend this location for its size, variety of machines and equipment, and the massage equipment for Black card members. If you do have the Black card, I also recommend to Costa Mesa location. It is much smaller but well maintained.

The black girl at the front desk, she doesn't say anything to me or even don't look when she is alone or with coworker. Or gives me a "look" .

However, when the leader is with her, she got big smile and welcoming. I thought there are two different people. Now i know the girl just have "two Faces"
Today i asked her where the scanner is, i pointed the camera..

She doesn't clean anything just opens the bathroom doors and look inside then leave. Funny,
Why don't you just ignore me always? Better then gave "the look" to your "Customers"

Why do they allow kids to use the gym by themselves? There were four 10 years old kids using all of equipment around 7pm!
. Of course they don’t clean after they used.
One of the annoying brat kept bothering me in the locker room. I had two hour to relax before get back to my office they ruined it.

PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW KIDS UNDER 18y/o to use the gym.

I had to leave in 20mins because of the kids followed me to bother me.

I had to deal with two homeless women in a locker rooms and the kids

Just made me stressed out I was exhausted more than before

they said their parents are not with them. So clearly "the club staffat the entrance" which was a blond new girl, did not ask them about their parents, please train them well
reason i didn't tell her, seems like she had no idea.. why i have to waste my time..
