It’s always SO HOT in there!!!! They have the thermostat set to 75.. in a gym!!!! I have never been to a location so hot and they won’t lower the temperature. They have those big fans on the lowest speed for no reason. High intensity workouts are VERY uncomfortable here.

This is one of the best run PFs I’ve been to. Been coming to the PF on Manchester for a few times now. Equipment, restrooms and locker room is always clean and maintained. The only thing is they do sometimes run out of Muscle Milk or Celsius but I’ll take a clean facility over that any day! Plus there’s a Vons right next door.

Facilities is ok/average, they recently got a couple new machines but other planet fitnesses made major improvements even getting squat racks so these upgrades feel minimal/bare. Staff is good.
Personally some the community can be frustrating at times. The parking spaces are so tight most of the time people are double parked. I understand the need for a bag policy (people don't like big gym bags on the floor, understandable and at times it can be in excess) but for small bags(fanny packs/small purses/ draw string bags) that aren't physically touching the ground ie held up by magnets/hooks/on person, I would've appreciated accommodation in that regard.

I am writing to express my concern about an experience I recently had at your gym. During my visit, I noticed that several members were wearing slippers while using the facilities. However, I was the only person told that I could not wear slippers and was asked to leave.

What concerned me most was that other members of different backgrounds were not approached or asked to follow this rule, even though they were wearing the same type of footwear. This made me feel that I was singled out unfairly based on my race.

I believe every member deserves to be treated equally and respectfully. If there is a policy regarding footwear, it should apply to all members consistently, not selectively.

I hope you will take this matter seriously and ensure that your staff enforces rules fairly for everyone.

I stopped going because it is so filthy. The bathrooms, the showers, the floors. I went to the location up in Oakland and it was gorgeous. Im ashamed this is my local PF. It doesn't have to be such a pig sty. Despite the many reviews reporting such a dirty environment the owner is on here responding to reviews saying "inform the manager". Um sir, why don't YOU inform the manager?

I travel year-round for work and recently visited the Planet Fitness on Manchester Blvd. Despite the chaotic gym clientele leaving weights strewn about without cleaning up after themselves, Dario Clayton stood out as a beacon of positivity. His dedication to picking up after others and maintaining a welcoming environment was truly remarkable. While I suggest encouraging customers to clean up after themselves, Dario's exceptional service earns the gym three stars in my book. The women’s restroom we’re disgusting. I was informed by a male employee that it would be cleaned soon and that males are not allowed into the women’s locker room/bathroom to clean. Later on that morning, I asked if they were able to clean the restroom and I was told they were and upon arriving to the women’s restroom again, the same issue of no tissue, no seat covers, used sanitary napkins and used tissue on the floor. The showers had hair and empty wrappers in them and they smelled. This is not how Inglewood or Planet Fitness should be represented. I have two stars instead of one because of the male employee being very respectful and apologetic. He also gave me sear covers and tissue for the women in need of the items in the restroom.

I love Planet Fitness, I go to the gym with my 15 year old daughter. My daughter works on her legs for track and I work on my balance and strength training. After my workout I go to the massage room and I really enjoy that. The locker room is also nice.

And I noticed that the staff members turn all the T.V. on sports channel. Out of 13 T.V. only 2 or on regular channel. No more News, Price is Right. You do have ladies working out too And I ask the staff member can you change the channel, he said he couldn't. I just looked at him and left. Planet Fitness in Inglewood talk to your staff members.

They have some new equipment which is cool.
But it just seems like if anything breaks it’s going to stay broke. If the toilet /urinal breaks then it’s just broken. It seems like they never fix anything.
They have 4 showers but sometimes only 1 of them works and it’s a line for the shower. And I have to go to work. I don’t know why it takes so long to get something fixed

I AM loving Planet Fitness right now. I used to be a regular member. But, I got a Black Card membership and it’s the best fit for me. One of my benefits is I can invite a friend and I can go to any club I want. However, that’s not the best part. As a black member I have access to the message chairs, tanning salons and my favorite hydro message treatment. It’s a great value for your investment. Please note some clubs have different enforcement policies. I was turned away for wearing jeans.

I’ve been going here for 3years (since summer 2022) the employees here are good and nice except Devin he assumed me and my friend was smoking in the locker room and said there was cameras and he got caught them (he did not show anything related to this) next time we went to the gym he said we had to speak to his manager on Monday. We go meet the manager and the manager wants us to call our guardians on our account. We call them up and the manager said that we were “allegedly smoking” and he wanted them to know that we were “allegedly smoking”. Stopped frequently coming to this place because of this.

GREAT Gym Place, AAA +++ I live few doors down and come here all the Time.. They remodeled just recently bringing in 40% more equipment in and just beautifully making room for it. The GYM Looks like another planet after the remodel.. Everyone loves coming in plenty times.. Now this gym can easily compare to the hugmangous Planet Fitness in Hawthorne @ El Segundo Blvd.. I Don't ever go there anymore as I work near by.. This GYM is finally the it spot.. Love it 5 STARS for the remodel .. The Place ROCKS NOW.!!!!

Wow what a not-so-lovely experience at this place today. I stopped by to ask a simple question about some late fees, and Assistant Manager Dario was so welcoming—if rolling his eyes and acting confrontational counts as customer service these days. I had no idea that being rude was a job requirement here. He was extremely unhinged. I had my infant with me and I feel like he wanted to jump over thr counter and attack.

I mean, for a middle-aged man, you’d think maturity would come naturally, but I guess those big muscles take up all the energy that could’ve gone into basic professionalism. It’s a shame because this place used to have a friendly atmosphere.

This behavior is unacceptable because Inglewood has already been gentrified enough. It’s frustrating to see yet another space where longtime residents are made to feel unwelcome, especially by employees who should be fostering a sense of community. The irony is that in a neighborhood that has historically been rich with culture and resilience, we’re now experiencing treatment that implies we don’t belong in our own spaces. You’d expect better from a business operating in Inglewood, yet I’ve been treated with more dignity in gyms located in affluent areas. It’s a stark reminder of how gentrification isn’t just about buildings—it’s about people, respect, and who is considered worthy of it. I will not be coming here!

I’ve been a black card member and when I tried cancelling my contract today they wouldn’t honor their own contract where it states that the “buyout fee does not apply to PF+ members”. It's not the cleanest gym. However, the employees are very kind and helpful. The hydro chairs are often being repaired, and there's not a specific designated stretch area like most of the Planet Fitness gyms I've visited. Most of the weights are scattered across the gym, making you go on a quest to find them quite often. These are never organized by the members or the employees. I've been shocked by some unpleasant activities that some peculiar members choose to engage in the ladies' restroom (not that this is the gym's fault, but I felt the importance of mentioning it). Also, I've noticed that it's common to see issues with the security in the men's locker room, so that's something to watch out for as well.

Planet Fitness (PF) is a great gym when the experience meets the advertised expectations. I workout 5 days a week in Inglewood. I understand the model of PF is to wipe down each machine that I use in order for it to be sanitary and clean for the next guest. What I find disgusting is the dumbbells and free weights are NEVER WIPED DOWN. The free weights are sticky and nasty. God only knows the germs that are being passed from hand to face. Can some type of sanitation be done to the dumbbells and free weights? I travel and go to PF Gyms all over the country. The Inglewood location is sub par. We MUST do better.

Second dirtiest PF I’ve been to. The worst is that the female employee just sat on a chair with her friend and doing something all times I was there and doing nothing to clean the locker room/ bathroom / showers. Locker room has hair and trash on the floor, sink area is dirty everywhere, toilet has poop stain, and hair and trash in the shower room. When she ended her shift, she left without clean anything. If I was the manager I’d fire her immediately.

I'm extremely frustrated with Planet Fitness (PF) after attempting to cancel my membership for nearly three years. Despite moving away from California, I've been unable to successfully cancel my membership. When I called the PF location, they instructed me to send a cancellation letter, which I've done twice. However, they claim they never received the letters.

I'm now forced to send a certified letter to prove they've received my cancellation request. I'm appalled by the poor customer service and billing practices. My initial membership rate was $10/month, but it's now over $33/month for a gym I no longer use since moving to Wisconsin.

I strongly advise against signing up for a membership with PF. Their cancellation process is arduous, and they seem to prioritize profits over customer satisfaction. Avoid this gym at all costs.
