First time there. Naomi did a great job walking me and my son around. Really did a good job explaining the benefits of the membership. She never tried hard selling , just asked us what we wanted. I use to go to Golds, but they changed ownership, and was not the same. Is you need a gym, try them out

This is my go to gym, been coming here since they opened. It’s hey expanded soo much and upgraded soo much. Gets packed after 12pm and during the summer with all the kids coming for the free summer fitness program they offer. Staff is great and it’s always clean

Love about planet fitness is that it’s clear you feel comfortable matter what you look like. You can go and get a good exercise in and not have to worry about somebody checking you out.

The equipment is to use in the amenities if you are a PF Black member perfect at the end of a hard workout. I highly recommend this gym for older adults as well as younger adults.

One guy said I'll let you in this time but I can't let you in the next time. I paid right front of him and I'm never coming back to this location. There are gum left over right on the guys sink. I immediately left and the same guy told me have a nice day. I wasn't even in there longer than 2 minutes. It's nasty. I been going to planet fitness for years, I got my family and friends to join.
Yesterday 11/20/2024 around 8pm my senior friend had to use the restroom, I told her I was a member at Planet Fitness in La Puente on Hacienda. We end up using the restroom when the Manager SARA (dressed in black, Caucasian woman)was outside of the stalls and she starts yelling at us very aggressively. I’m in shocked of how she handled the situation. Very immature, aggressive, and unprofessional.She was so aggressive that her eyes were popping out. Then she started harassing me, asking me to show her what I picked up from the lockers. My senior friend had to calm her down, I just feel so embarrassed like we just came to use the restroom. My friends and family will be canceling our membership. It was just a horrible experience my senior friend had to go take her blood pressure medication. Please Planet Fitness check your management.

No way!!! That’s the Manager Sara that aggressively harassed me and my Senior friend, for using the restroom and I was a member at the time. Me and my family canceled our membership due to Sara’s behavior. I do not tolerate somebody that treated me and my senior friend as criminals.
I’ve never had anybody follow us to the restroom and aggressively harass us . Getting kicked out for being a member makes no sense.

🚨 Beware: Planet Fitness Cancels Memberships Without Warning 🚨

I was a daily member at this Planet Fitness, but on March 10, 2025, I experienced unfair treatment from the general manager, SARA, which led to my membership being canceled on the spot—without a valid reason.

That day, as I was setting up for my workout with my bag on my shoulder, SARA abruptly told me that, starting today, bags were no longer allowed on the floor and that I had to put mine in a locker or my car. Her tone was unnecessarily harsh, but I assumed as long as I wasn’t placing my bag on the floor, I was following the rules.

Minutes later, another staff member informed me of a new bag policy, and before I even had time to adjust, SARA returned and demanded that I place my bag in the locker immediately or leave the gym. I told her I just needed a moment to rest, but she stood nearby, watching me the entire time. Then, suddenly, she said:

💬 “You have to leave now, or I will call the police.”

I was shocked. I told her I had a right to be there since I was a paying member, and she coldly responded:

💬 “You don’t have a membership anymore. I’m canceling it.”

She then followed me to the locker room as I gathered my things. Even though I was extremely uncomfortable, I tried to make peace and apologized—but she still refused to reinstate my membership. When I asked why, she simply said:

💬 “Nobody can talk to me like that!”

I then asked for her name, and in a bossy, dismissive tone, she replied:

💬 “My name is Sara. I’m the General Manager here.”

When I asked for her full name, she refused and simply said, “I’m the only SARA here.”

After this incident, I checked the reviews and realized I am not the only one who has had issues with this manager. Other members have also complained about her rude and aggressive behavior—just look at the reviews!

⚠️ If you’re a paying member, know that your membership could be revoked at any time with no explanation.

Planet Fitness and the location’s owner need to review this gym’s management and enforce fair treatment of members. If you’ve had a similar experience, speak up!

I’ve been a planet fitness member for over 6 years and today i had a horrible experience i was using a leg machine minding my business when a staff member came towards me and told me i was making noise with the machine i was just in shock i left right away and i am seriously considering canceling my membership i have a disability so i do my workouts with limited weight and my gym knowledge is not very much so i guess planet fitness is not a gym where people with disability’s are welcome

I’m going to be cancelling my Membership after 7 years with Planet Fitness after management at this location (Female) harassed my family members for walking in as club members to use to restroom and a manager following them and wrongfully accusing them of “taking items” from lockers. I do not condone that behavior and I will not support a business who allows managers who speak to their customers this way. I will be calling the corporate number and reporting this location and the manager.

Have been a member for about 1 year and never write reviews. The gym is relatively clean although I rarely use the lockers or showers. My only complaint is the member to gym equipment ratio. The smith machines are rarely available. If lucky, I'm able use them 1-2 times per week. I've seen individuals hog machines for as many as 1 1/2 hrs. Most of the times, they are on their phones texting or chatting. Sometimes its friends and family day at the smith machine or flat bench (2-3 people at one time). No gym etiquette at all. Dumbbell weights are sometimes scarce as members cart them off to other parts of the gym for MORE than an hour and half (I've actually timed it). I could go on and on. And I've tried to schedule my workouts based on the crowd meter. I hate to say it, but I often walk in and walk out and head over to the San Dimas gym. I have much better options there regarding equipment availability at any time. With all that said. I know employees or management don't want to piss members off, but MUCH BETTER efforts should be made to regulating the time AND NUMBER OF PEOPLE that are on machines at one time. Maybe it's time to replace equipment less used with those that are more in demand. For this particular gym, it seems weight training dominates over cardio. If that is too much, I would gladly pay more to schedule reserve times for smith machines or free weights area. I live 5 minutes from the La Puente gym. But I'm this close to changing my membership to the San Dimas gym.

I go past midnight.. few people so the machines are available. The staff is always friendly and busy cleaning the floors. Shopping center security is always making sure people are not parked watching or sleeping in their cars. I feel bad when I see them wake someone up. Good gym for La Puente.

Clean gym and decent crowd during non-peak hours. Took stars off because I’ve been coming here since 2014 and have been noticing most of the new employees have attitudes and don’t greet you upon entering and leaving. Specifically the staff they had on 12/30 and 12/31 around 6pm-7pm. The tall female with long blonde/highlighted hair and short female with long dark hair made a face when I greeted them. Managers need to check their attitudes.

I've changed my review from 2 to 4 stars my original problems with this gym were from the crowdedness but I've found evening and early hour days are the less dense times, you may feel somewhat out shined but this is a place to work on you so just keep at your workouts and don't be a lunk!

False advertisement in what they show as a company I signed up a day before the Amazon halo deal as a black card member I'm a new member that started up a week ago with no commitment i was told at my home signup gym in fontana that I would be able to bring my fiance as a guest to the black card section and she would be able to use it. I get here with her and was told that it's black card member only when clearly in their promotion that guest of black card member would be able to use the amenities of black card including the black card section......

Long story short not happy denied what I was promised and paid for and for the bad rep the planet fitness company has been getting lately due to how they treat their clients yeaaahh I'm just glad I signed up with no commitment

I'm already thinking of going back to 24 hrs right now the only perk for me going here is their half block from my house versus 24 hr which is 4 maybe 5 blocks

My husband and I recently starting coming here. All staff have been exceptionally helpful, equipment is excellent with helpful QR scanning info on how to use anything you don't know how to use. Never felt judged or wandering eyes on me despite being an anxious Sally about it. Love the bonus amenities for black card members.

I'm a new member. They advertise you can scan the QR code on each machine to find out how to use it and set it up. But you can't be signed in on their WiFi when next to the machine trying to figure out how to set it up and use it. REALLY? Perhaps I should have joined a different gym. I'll keep you posted how they handle this issue I'm having. The staff was really trying to be helpful but they're working with what they're given. So Hey.....Planet Fitness UPPER MANAGEMENT..... Handle this!! I'd like post another review to override this issue with Job Well Done. That remains to be seen.
