I’m so excited and happy to have found a clean quiet and peaceful aura of an environment here at planet fitness I came in and the place was spotless from top to bottom. After leaving 24 hr fitness I was traumatized by the lack of cleanliness and almost gave up on Lancaster gyms being that I just moved here but to god be the glory Sharrmane and the nice ladies helped me get my account set back up and had me transferred in no time. I’m beyond grateful for my visit and experience today and can’t wait to start back my workout journey here. What an amazing experience.

I called on Friday asking if I could have my cancellation fee waived. I was told to come in. I came today explaining that I'd like to cancel and get the fee waived. There were 4 people besides the rep standing around. One who was closely watching the entire exchange. Donna was talking to Glen about a customer. The rep, Amber, said that my last day is in October. I asked her about the waiver. She said I "should be good." She then said my card on file will be charged 82 dollars. Then Donna stepped in and when I asked about the next month, she said since it's after the 10th, they can't touch that bill and it will be charged. She also said that I have to pay the cancellation fee and asked when I called. I informed her it was Friday after 3. I explained the reason for me coming in person was not to get charged. I left after Donna confirmed that I'll still have to pay and Amber said that the cancellation email will be sent to my email. About 3 mns later, I get a call that I need to come back to sign if I wanted to proceed. That's when I learned of their names. Glen was very courteous and apologized for my inconvenience. Donna, however, was unpleasant. She made almost no eye contact, and according to her, "Amber is new", to which I replied that it's not an excuse, especially when you all knew she was new, and she had 4 other people standing near by who should have assisted. Why would you allow someone knew to handle a cancellation? Donna was dismissive and unpleasant. Not only she never smiled or apologize, she didn't bother to try and smooth the situation over. I appreciate Glen being pleasant. The other gentleman who watched the entire ordeal since I got there looked away when I referred to him. I am sorry that I ever considered Planet Fitness. I will never recommend it, especially this location to any one. This could have been handled very differently.

I recently joined and have been going for the past three weeks, 5 days a week.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Facility is clean. I like using the massage chairs and hot/cold recovery chair. Monthly cost seems reasonable.

My biggest complaint is their crowd meter is completely off. It would display 30-40% occupancy when almost ALL of the machines/stations were in use. This delayed my workout by 30 minutes just trying to find any station that fit into the days workout. Additionally, they have equipment that has been broken for over a week, adding to the crowding issue. On one day it got to the point that I just used a broken station (the arm pin would somtimes pop out,i would hold it in) just so I could get my workout. This was around 5 pm. On the days I go in the mornings it's better (but the crowd meter is still off and there are still broken machines).

Its a bit frustrating, so im going to look at LA fitness or another gym just to see what they offer. I like the way PF has their machines set up but not being able to use them is frustrating when I dont have a lot of time to get a workout in.

The gym is clean and well maintained. It can get really crowded, which made it difficult for me to go. I tend to feel uncomfortable standing around without a machine to use. When it's not crowded, the gym is awesome. I'm addicted to the massage chairs. The gym gets a star for the maintenance and one for those chairs.

Customer Service can be spotty. Sometimes you may get a helpful person, but you may run into someone that shouldn't be working with the public.

Last year, I was informed that I can purchase a 1-year membership because I don't like people in my account, constantly charging. They said that they did and I purchased it. I wanted to pay cash, but I was informed that they can only take a card and I had them confirm over and over again that it wasn't going to be charged again after that. They confirmed. Fast forward, I just saw a $24.99 charge on my account. I checked it out and there was another last month. I called and informed them that they charged my card in error. The lady told me that my membership ended, so I was going to be charged until I canceled. So, they deceived me by saying that they didn't take cash so that they can have my card number on file to fraudulently steal money from my account. I had to contact my bank. I'm deducting three stars for customer service, deceptive practices, and theft.

Everything you want in a fitness center except a swimming pool but then I think that would push the price of membership up higher.
The equipment seems to be well maintained and members seem to be diligent about wiping down equipment after using. Additionally, I was told that staff members do a deep cleaning during the day.
There is a variety of equipment, clean showers and dressing rooms and relaxation beds and chairs.
I especially like that there are multiple reminders that this is a judgment free zone. Makes it easier to relax and exercise even when you're elderly, fat, etc.

Joined because it is on my insurance plan, should have joined sooner, it is that impressive.
My initial sign up was a little disappointing because after sign up I asked for a tour and was told that I could "go look around". I was not aware of the many wonderful classes and the amount of machinery and functions of the machines but decided to go back anyway. On subsequent visit, I met a young lady named Genesis who walked me around the facility and did a great job of explaining the various options available to me including the Black Benefits options which my plan covers. This plan includes hydro beds and cots as well as other relaxation techniques.
Shower room, rest room and dressing room seemed very clean. She said equipment was cleaned regularly by staff in addition to being cleaned by clients before and after exercising (I've witnessed clients cleaning)and that a deep cleaning is done daily.
Was impressed by all the reminders that it is a judgment free zone and as far as I can tell, it's true.
Plan to come to stay active. Would definitely recommend.

I love the 24hr gym experience. My schedule varies and sometimes I might end up over there at 1am or 5am and it's not crowded. The place is always so clean! I just can't stand the music selections, it's only for one type of listener, no variety. I also I love the perks of being a black card member, their massage options are wonderful. I haven't tried the red light therapy nor the tanning beds yet but I'm planning on at least one of them the next time I go in!

I normally don't take the time to review places, but with my recent experience with this location, I felt the need too. I have had multiple issues with billing for this location. I originally started in the Palmdale location and they were great.

Saturday I went in to cancel my contract as I am moving away and won't be using Planet Fitness anymore. There was no staff available to speak with, I was waiting for 15+ minutes and ended up calling the Palmdale location to ask for assistance. I was told I could cancel online and so I did. When I was online and canceling my membership, it said I owned $0.00 since I was cancelling before my payment date, that made sense to me. I later checked my bank account and was charged my monthly fee. I spoke with someone that day and a manager who both informed me that cancellations must be made before the 10th in order not to be charged. Then, I was charged again on the 17th, I spoke with the manager, who did refund me the 2nd charge. I am obviously cancelling and not going back, but I have been double charged a few times at this location previously and I am very upset since their cancellation policy is not very clear. The Palmdale location is nicer and the staff have been more helpful, so I recommend making the drive there.

It's a good gym overall, the staff is cool and I love how they are awesome about keeping stuff clean. My gripes are just that the women's bathroom sinks succck, hardly any water comes out of 2 of 3 sinks. I would also like to point out I think the water despencer filter may need to be replaced. Little black floaties pop up here and there and it grosses me out. That's all I'm not angry or anything just letting maintenance know. Have a good day you guyz.

Wednesday, February 20 at approximately 11:30 PM. One of the black male employees working the shift threaten to fight me for unknown reasons. As I grabbed an energy drink from the fridge and saw there was no employees around. I searched the store looking for one until I found him and asked if I can purchase the drink. He stated I needed to return back to the front desk or we’re gonna have some problems in an aggressive manner. After explaining to him that I was confused as to why he was upset and what I did wrong, he stated I there are no issues unless I want there to be issues. I asked him what did that mean and he says you will find out. I explained to him that I am a police officer, and that I want no problems , he stated he does not care who I am using provocative language, and that I can get dealt with. I told him I don’t want to drink and left it on the floor and left to continue my workout. Throughout about 20 minutes he continue to approach me at the machines, taunting me and threatening me saying that we will have issues. I told him to back away and leave me alone, and he continue to return. Then asked to speak to the manager and he stated that I do not need to speak to the manager because he already did. I asked him where is he? And his answer was I don’t know and walks away. I began to search the gym for the last person. I saw him speak to who happened to be the manager and explain the situation. I contacted the local sheriffs office to report a harassment. Manager says he will speak to him. He is a negative impact on planet fitness and a disgusting image to have in front of customers. I’ve been a member of Planet Fitness for many years and never have. I met someone so disrespectful for no reason. He created a hostile environment, And I do not feel welcomed any longer to planet fitness. I’m done with this gym. Everyone has issues, but to bring it at work and put it on customers is disgusting. I guess it’s my fault for paying for cheap membership. Good luck Planet Fitness is your problem.

I enjoyed coming to this gym, and the staff are really very nice until you want to cancel. Be careful because they do NOT tell you about a “buy out fee.” If you don’t know what that is, ask before signing up. I was being helped by a wonderful young lady(supervisor) with long braids, until DONNA, the owner of planet fitness had to put in her two-cents. Donna kept interjecting with asinine comments, and after I stated that I no longer wanted to hear from her that I was dealing with a supervisor she actually said, “ yet you’re still talking.” She was acting like she was having the tik tok argument of her life. extremely unprofessional!!!!!! I told her as much and stated that’s not what customer service is! The supervisor had to tell her to go and cool off. She really wanted an argument. My first visit was yesterday to this location. It's small and WAYYY too crowded. I was only able to do 30 mins on the treadmill but to use any other machines was a fail... they were all occupied including the free weights and the 30min Express. After the treadmill, I walked around to find an available machine but all I seen were people just sitting there on their phones or chatting to the person next to them. I just left.

I cancelled Planet Fitness assuming I had been there a year, as an annual fee of $39 just posted on October 2, 2023 to Schools First Federal Credit Union. The district manager of Planet Fitness said I hadn't been there a year, due to two freezes on my account for a shoulder replacement and broken elbow. I cancelled due to the fact that I need to use the circuit equipment, because of disabilities, but they are not enforcing the gym rules of making members move to the next machine when the light turns red and beginning when the light turns green, allowing them to do several sets on the same machine. She said I could contact the front desk every time this happens, but it happens constantly, and i am not sure how enforcing club rules is my responsibility. If I have not been there a year, how did I get an annual fee and if I got an annual fee, how did I need to pay $58 for an early buyout of my contract.

Follow up....was replied to here and on Yelp with the same answer. Sent all the same info to the email below. No one even answered the email and it has been a couple of days. Doubt I'll get a reply. Standard form reply.....they don't care....

Disappointed by my experience at this location. Didn't see anyone wiping down the machines after they used them, the men's restroom had fleas/gnats all over, and they were blaring music far louder than any other location I've been to(could even hear through my noise cancelling headphones). I only went twice thinking my first time was a fluke or maybe they were having a bad couple short-staffed days, but I will be avoiding this location in the future.

Very clean, lots of good equipment and enough of it that you don’t have to wait. Would be fantastic if they had some Zumba classes

The music, the loudest in ALL of the planet fitnesses I've ever been to (but sumila to Palmdalelocation). I left 24hr fitness and Crunch because loud like nightclubs. They don't use the AC during the winter so it actually gets hot and no ventilation also means high levels of carbon dioxide so it tougher to breathe. Yet nice and cool during summer months smh
