There's a mirror in the front by the hand weights that has been flickering for months, I took a break and came back and its still not fixed (concern for people with light sensitivity).
When I first started coming here the gym was always extremely clean, but now when I enter the women's restroom theres always trash over flowing the sanitary dispenser box & Hair in the showers.
I can go on and on about the things ive noticed. But the main thing I ALWAYS see is the manager is always standing behind the counter in the same spot, not really interacting with the gym goers, usually on her phone. My opinion: if the manager was more involved or hands on i dont think the issues I see around the gym would have lasted this long..

Saw that needle laying on the floor in the men's bathroom last night in a stall near the west wall and reported it to front desk.
Been to PF locations at all 4 corners of the country from San Diego CA to Seattle WA to Jacksonville FL and NJ along with several more inbetween. All that and this was my first time seeing a needle.

Other then that this location is still far better then many others in my view. Some of the old locations really suck. Smaller buildings poor ventilation smaller flat screens fewer of them and way to many low maintenance heffers for me even if it's not their fault. The Midwest can be very mean spirited with weather and takes it's toll on people.

Wish they'd add a little more variety to the music. Me not into metal or love songs at the gym much. Something people can dance too or some 80s/90s stuff would be nice and a little MoTown from the 60s. People like house music instrumental too.Hope that helps 🙏👀👍

My sister was injured on a StairMaster at this Planet Fitness after it broke mid workout. She ended up bruised and sore, filed an incident report, and was told management would follow up. No one ever did. Joana, the store manager, promised to call and never did. It’s awful how little this gym cares about members’ safety or well-being. You’d think after someone gets hurt on their equipment, they’d at least check in.

I was seriously injured on one of the StairMaster machines at this Planet Fitness and the way they handled it was absolutely unacceptable. The machine suddenly malfunctioned and I fell hard, ending up with bruises all over my legs and very sore, weak arms for days. I filed an incident report right away and was told management would contact me after speaking with corporate, but no one ever called. Joana, the store manager, promised to follow up and never did. Not a single person checked to see if I was okay. It’s horrible how little this location cares about the safety and well-being of their members. I trusted this gym, and they showed they don’t care until something bad happens. Avoid this place.

I've been visiting this gym for the past four years, and I used to really enjoy my workouts there. However, I've noticed a significant decline in the overall cleanliness and atmosphere since last year. Unfortunately, it feels like the gym has changed drastically for the worse.

One of my biggest concerns is the state of the ladies' restroom. It’s shocking how dirty it has become—I'm not sure if the toilets have ever been properly cleaned, and the floors seem to get mopped only once or twice since I started going there. As a result, the restroom is often unbearable, especially on weekends when the crowd increases. There are frequently no toilet paper supplies, which is incredibly inconvenient.

The staff members at the gym are generally friendly, and I’ve never had a problem with them personally. However, I did have an uncomfortable experience with a manager—a shorter gentleman from Compton—who specifically approached female patrons to ask them to remove their bags from benches. It struck me as unfair because I didn’t see him addressing the same issue with male customers, which made the situation feel unbalanced and discriminatory.

Another area of concern is the drink fountain. It’s in a deplorable state, and it’s evident that it hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. The cleanliness issues extend beyond the facilities; I’ve noticed staff members storing their lunches alongside gym refreshments at the front desk, which raises hygiene concerns for everyone using the space.

Overall, I hope the management can address these problems soon; this place has so much potential, and I would love to see it return to the quality I once enjoyed.

Im sorry I have never written a bad reveiw about any place ever but my 3 year old starts school up the road this coming fall and I was like awesome let me check this Location out so I know where to workout while my son is at preschool...the only reason I put 3 stars is because the staff was super friendly, the bathroom seemed pretty clean and the place was big but this spot needs a face lift badly, most of the machines are broken or outdated, even the paper towel dispenser in one of the sections was half busted hanging on the wall, everything is dirty like I can see old dry sweat droplets and dust on everything, no one ever cleans up after themselves in this place its disgusting they just move to the next machine to sweat on and your left cleaning it for them, their is about two or three of every attachment by the cable gym area so you have to wait for someone to be finnished with theirs so you can take it, half the benches dont have the caps for the adjustment rod so your stuck with it in one position or hurting your fingers trying to pull on it...its such a huge place but it was so underwhelming Idk I just thought it was going to be so much better then it was, I guess if your a guy then it dosent matter cause your just working arms and back mostly but for people that like to work their glutes and quads this location is lacking. :( sorry disappointed.

Progressively getting worse. Planet Fitness Ximeno, Long Beach has oodles of quality fitness equipment (have never had to wait for availability!). Well appointed facilities w/ Hydromassage beds, Massage Chairs, Red Zone Recovery stand up booths (Red light therapies), Standing tanning booths, Showers/lockers. It’s a regular planet fitness. I went on Sunday. The facility is actually well spaced and managed, mostly. The only reason I'm placing this review is utter bs that is waiting for certain machines near the back mirrors for a private trainer and his personal cohort almost every night.

About five feet tall. Scruffy beard. Always wears a cap. Curly dark brown hair.

This isn't just a coincidence. If you've been coming here for a while you know which group this is. I'm all for group support and health gains but this is our of hand when a set of machines are monopolized for over an hour by the usual 5-10 people he rotates around.

I've heard him coach and train these people and even instruct them to parrot specific complaints to make it appear that he's not training, but if you ever observe this man in the past he doesn't even workout when he's here at night with them. He goes from machine to machine setting the next person up, meanwhile everyone else is standing waiting, realizing they won't get that machine in the next hour and move on.

Several of my work buddies already dropped this gym for that reason and I might have had it today.

Management you have got to do something about this. It's BS to the rest of your members. He's not working out there, he is training and just irritating the rest of your customers.

I understand this is an economy gym. The vibes are great, staff is amazing, and it's maintained clean. But no soap in the showers is just a bare essentials miss.

I've reported one of the cable machines having a broken hook not securing correctly. It's sharp and not a complete loop so it's very possible to unhook it while lifting. It's been weeks and still disregarded.

From all the different PF locations I've been to locally and in other states, Scott [pictured below] is one of the warmest, friendliest staff members I've met. 🤗 For me, I'm often lazy 🥱to go to the gym and feel so uncomfortable because of being out of shape (and the power tripping management and cold/indifferent staff at some of the other locations). Scott makes my daughter and I feel welcome and there is such an ease to it all.

I love the location and its next door to my favorite store
"Vons Grocery" so I always complete my workout with something amazing from Vons deli and fresh fruit that look amazing. Today I went in and I caught the young gentleman at the front counter. He was able to assist me and I was interrupted by a phone call, as I waited for the planet fitness employee to get back to me. This Hispanic lady approached me and she decided to help me, my card declined and I needed to make a courtesy phone call to my bank. I look professional and I was professional. The Hispanic lady had so much sarcasm and was a little on the edge. After telling her I had no phone, she had no sympathy. I didn't understand, I'm a regular it was private and the members of the gym would of never noticed. She happens to be the general manager at this location. The gym is nice and clean, and I enjoy my workout. It's unfortunate alot of companies are hiring "kids" and training them as managers. This new generation didn't grow up on morals and values, and they don't believe in treating people with respect and dignity. This generation follows what they think is cool, and their always on their phones while working and they have normalize using disruptive language amongst their co workers at the workplace. There's so many other gyms in the area, this one is the most AFFORDABLE gym , and Planet Fitness is known for the rates, I sure hope they understand that we value quality and great service as well. I felt almost ashamed for asking to use their phone and I didn't complete my entire workout just because of that feeling. However, I went next door and Von's allowed me to use their phone on customer service. it took 4 minutes and I grabbed some food.

Location is clean, the space is small. I only used 5 machines, one of which was broken, as in the knob to change the weights was stiff and needed to be jammed in and was not smooth to pull out. The 6th machine was completely broken as in changing the weight wouldn’t even budge. 4 of the machines I used were wobbly and had been worn out, which is to be expected for the busy crowd but this place really needs an update. Horrible, I wouldn't recommend for anyone who's actually trying to workout, I'm a college athlete and I have an app with my exercises and timer for rest (normally 90secs) they often call me out because during these 90 secs I'm resting in the hack, normally I do 1 exercise/4 reps in the hack machine which takes 8 minutes, and they have the audacity to call me because I'm resting between sets. If you have a plan don't come here. However, if you are a random person that wants to do whatever comes to your mind and get injured that's your place. Otherwise, this place sucks, l the machines are to short for someone as tall as me (6'3) and they don't even have free barbells only smith machines. Do not come here

I had written a good review previously but after what happened about 2 hours ago. I don't know. While I was working out someone was doing their routine and dropping weights. This was annoying because I like to be in MY zone while working out and not have to listen to someone wanting to be noticed by dropping the weights loudly. I called the front desk and complained about it. I did not use any foul language whatsoever. I finished my workout and as I always do, I told the staff at the front desk good night and thank you. The Staff member MICHAEL, asked if I had called to complain and I said no. He then said YES I did and told me my name. How did he know my name? He went to the length of researching the Planet Fitness database and seeing my picture which was linked to my phone number. He became hostile to the point where I felt threatened. This was very very very inappropriate behavior from a staff member. I DID feel threatened and NOW, I feel VERY uncomfortable about going back even though I love this one particular planet fitness. One bad staff member doesn't make the club bad. My biggest problem is WHY did he go to the extent of having to associate my phone number with who I was using MY PERSONAL INFORMATION I had given to planet fitness when I joined 2 years ago. IS THIS WHAT PLANET FITNESS DOES WITH OUR PERSONAL INFORMATION? Now this staff member knows my address? This WAS scary to say the least. What else was he able to retrieve from my personal account I have with Planet Fitness?

Favorite planet fitness location out of the many I've been to in LA. This is the cleanest location and spacious. Showers are big and usually clean. Water is hot. Usually pretty easy to access equipment and not too crowded. Staff is friendly and helpful. I like the amount of wall mirrors and that you can see yourself while running.
