Clean place...and organized...front desk always with a smile. I've noticed this place don't have that many benches to work on your abs. However they do have other machines where you can always improvise. It gets packed on Mondays thru Thursday kinda like any other gym. Not that it gets overcrowded it's just that you have to wait a few min to get on a Smith machine or any other station... not a big deal. It's worth the visit.

Unfortunately, my bike was stolen right in front of the gym, from the bike rack located by the main entrance. I had it locked, but it was gone by the time I finished my workout.

I’m sharing this so other members can be aware, and I also hope the gym considers improving security in that area — maybe adding cameras, better lighting, or signs reminding members to use stronger locks.

The gym itself is good, and the staff is friendly, but this incident was disappointing and concerning, especially for those of us who rely on bikes to get here.

This location is pretty bad. During peak hours if there are tons of people on all the cardio machines the building literally shakes and sways and it feels like youre on a moving boat. There arent enough weight training bench areas compared to all the cardio equipment. The parking lot is pretty big and free so thats a plus.

I don't know if this is right or not, it turned out that way, I couldn't pay rent and ended up on the street. I called everywhere and everyone to help me and put me in a shelter, but they only sent me from one place to another and so on. I have to go to work at 7:00 in the morning, now it's almost 4 in the morning. I came to Planet Fitness to sleep at least a few hours before work to gain strength, I have a membership, I arrived clean in clean clothes, it was raining outside, I just wanted to rest, gain strength before work, and in the evening after work I would continue to look for options with shelter, this is such a modern reality, no one cares about each other, everyone thinks only about themselves, when a person just wants to relax, they kick him out, call security, threaten with the police, but when there is stealing and fighting in gyms, the employees do absolutely nothing. A QUESTION TO WHICH THERE IS NO ANSWER!!!!!!!!

I pay for the black card which allows you to go to any location. I canceled my membership and it was supposed to last until the end of the month, then mid month they told me I can’t come to any location anymore and I only pay for the basic membership. Denied access after years of being a member. Learn how to run your company, and when you make a mistake, fix it instead of turning away loyal customers. On top of that, I quit because this gym is filthy, staff never refill towels to keep machines clean, and they never clean the bathroom. Ever. Disgusting place.

This Planet Fitness location was a mixed experience for me. The gym itself is somewhat clean—definitely not the worst, but not the best either, with a few speckles here and there.

What really stood out, though, was being required to wear eye guards for the vibration machine, and then being told I needed to buy them. I’ve been to Planet Fitness locations across the country, and I’ve never encountered this policy before. It felt unusual and honestly questionable in terms of whether it’s part of Planet Fitness standards.

The staff interaction was also a little cold, with not much communication, which left me feeling unwelcome. Overall, the vibe just wasn't 100

For a 24-hour gym, this deserves praise.

The gym isn’t large, and I wasn‘t expecting much. However, the women’s locker room and shower room were confusing. There was no separate wet and dry area, and there was no easy access to laundry, although there was a hook on the wall. The showerhead looked like it needed replacing, as it leaked badly. There was no hairdryer, and I asked the front desk, but she said they didn‘t have one.

Planet Fitness has been a game-changer for my fitness routine! The gym is always clean, well-lit, and equipped with everything I need — from cardio machines and strength equipment to the 30-minute circuit and stretching areas.

What I love most is the judgment-free zone atmosphere. Whether you’re just starting out or a regular gym-goer, everyone feels welcome. The staff is super friendly, helpful, and always available to answer questions or give a tour.

The Black Card membership is definitely worth it — access to massage chairs, tanning, and multiple locations is a huge plus. I also appreciate that it’s never overly crowded, and the hours are flexible for any schedule.

Coming from Hershey, PA's Planet Fitness is a wild change.

I decided to show up at around 3:30 AM on a Monday. While I don't have a big issue with the main workout area itself, some of the cardio machines are missing pedal straps and (admittingly more of a complaint for the machine software itself) details of your workout disappear too quickly, something that is important for me to keep track of my daily routines.

The men's bathroom and shower area was a major disappointment. Wet floor signs everywhere, no scale to use, and the odor was awful. I wouldn't trust to shower in there.

As a Black Card member, I was woefully upset when, after being let into the Black Card Spa, all four massage treatments were taken by people sleeping. I wanted to use the chair after an hour of cardio. I brought this up to the man at the front and told me he can't do anything about it unless another coworker came over. I gave it about ten minutes to change clothes and to exercise some patience and when I returned he told me to "let me know which spa was available." Walked in, and three of the four people were still there sleeping. Only the hydro massage bed was available, the one I didn't request. Seems like a situation that was either out of his control or didn't bother to fix. The worst part about it was that the hydro spa was only five minutes compared to the fifteen the one in Hershey provided for me.

My workout was satisfied, but I'm very disappointed with the night service. I'll give it another chance during a more prime time, but if the service remains unsatisfactory I don't think I can return to this location again despite it being the most local to me.

UPDATE (8/03/25)
I've now lived in LA for about a year and a half and I may have caught this PF on a bad day when I first came. The equipment is much better maintained on times I went both at day and at night. The bathrooms are hit or miss and I'm still disappointed about the 5-minute timer on the massage machines but otherwise I'm content here. If the next closest one wasn't 3 miles away I'd try that one to compare.

The women's locker room is the dirtiest locker room I've seen at a PF! I didn't even want to work out after going in there. The guy at the front desk was super nice tho. He said there were no women on staff to clean the locker room. I wonder if it has anything to do with the deportation situation going on in the city. Anyway, never going to that one again. The parking lot was dirty too with trash spilling out the garbage cans and all over the ground. I'll just drive to Hawthorne or Torrance cuz I'm still gagging at how gross the locker room and bathroom were. I want to throw my shoes away from walking in there! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Solid Gym with Room for Shower Improvements – Planet Fitness

Visited this Planet Fitness location recently and was pleased overall with the experience. The gym is spacious and well-equipped with a wide variety of machines and equipment, making it easy to get a solid workout in without waiting around.

Staff was friendly and welcoming upon arrival, which is always appreciated. The locker rooms were clean and maintained regularly, creating a comfortable space to get ready or wind down.

The showers, however, could use improvement. It took about five minutes for hot water to kick in, and the shower stalls themselves weren’t as clean as the rest of the facility. That said, the showerheads were taller than six feet, which was a welcome surprise compared to most locations. Unfortunately, there’s no shelving or hooks inside the showers, so your toiletries have to go on the floor—not ideal.

Overall, a good gym experience with just a few things to note if you’re planning to shower after your workout. Would still recommend this location for its equipment, space, and friendly staff.

Walking into this gym felt like stepping into the 13th century. If I had never experienced a Planet Fitness before, maybe I wouldn’t have thought much of it—but after seeing how other locations are maintained, this one was a huge letdown.

Many of the machines are broken. I tried three different treadmills, and each one stopped working mid-run. At one point, I was literally walking while the machine said I was running at speed 8. The mats are old and uncomfortable, and the entire place feels more like a warehouse than a gym.

Unfortunately, I have nothing positive to say about the equipment or the overall atmosphere. It’s outdated, poorly maintained, and far below the standard I expected.

Members do not rack their weight and horde them during busy times. As a result, management has no clue about their inventory or lack thereof. I did several laps checking for 10lb dumbells and couldn't find a single one of the six that they have places for on their racks. I checked every area-- MULTIPLE TIMES, even the cardio equipment-- nothing. I was even checking what people were using like a CREEP. There were ZERO. Very frustrating and a massive waste of time.

Edit: After over an hour, I did eventually find a single 10lb weight on the opposite side of the gym from the free weight area. I'd award an extra half star if possible. There were also piles of plates all over the ground as well. People really should pick up after themselves, but if you know the people who work out there are lazy, one of the many employees chilling at the front desk could do a sweep and set an example for the rest of these animals.

It's a PF, you know what to expect. It's fine, just don't get the black card. I personally only got one for the massage chairs, but they turned the time down to only 5 mins at a time (literally not enough time for the heated seats to reach temp. It takes me a full min to just make it recline and do the heavy knead setting I want.) if I could automatically book time maybe it'd be fine to go back and book another slot but you need the staff to do it, so you have to flag them down (they're busy! Not their fault!) and it's awkward and takes time blah blah blah.

One other big gripe- zero staff presence in the gym. People hoarding 5 sets of dumbbells at one bench for no reason is common. Which means an empty rack of weights with 5 people needlessly waiting is common. The club feels way more busy than it should because of this.

It's a hands off, bare minimum sort of place. The massage chairs are a gotcha, not a luxury. Not worth the 25 a month (and yearly 49$ fee)= 29$/month

I’ve been a loyal planet fitness member for over two years now and it’s been the best thing I’ve done to help myself be fit and healthy… This plant fitness in Los Angeles, does not have warm water for their showers and if you use the restroom to wash your hands. Etiquette of people here was super poor - people holding onto 2-3 sets of dumbbells each.

As a vanlifer, this PF sucked. No cubby in the shower means all your stuff goes on the nasty shower floor. Prepare for that. It's a super busy location. I managed to get a shower but when I left there was a line, which was awkward. Water pressure is below average and maximum heat is right at the on/off spot, so you have to fiddle with it so you don't turn it off. Even the comfortable heat level I was looking for is just passed the off level and I found myself accidentally turning it off and having to surgerically move the knob to get it right. I will not be coming back to this location.

I have it on the road traveling for almost a month and a half now and have showered at Planet fitness's across the entire Western half of the country. This location is the nastiest one I have been to! Hair stuck all the showers, brown crust and dirt all over the bathroom, a dope baggie on the floor of the woman's handicap shower, stalls of the dressing rooms are coated and grime and what looks like boogers. I'm a trans girl, I was get in this gym in top and shorts and they denied me to get in, i get back to my hotel to cange my outfit, then I was doing my leg day, expecially a leg press, with 440 lb, I'm also overweight, but I'm pretty strong anyways, I had a half gallon bottle, and they kicked me out for "intimidation", "loud exercise" and "to big bottle"... RIDICULOUS, it happened only here from West to Est coast road trip, I had in total 12 workouts, and only this one I was kicked out for noone acceptable reason.

Friendly staff, lots of machines, main gym area is clean.

The showers are often broken, when they are working, they don't have any shelf to put toiletries and are usually dirty. Drinking fountains also often don't have cold water.

This is a nastiest gym I’ve ever been to showers always broken. The people that work there don’t care about your privacy and if you finally complain, they don’t care. This is the worst gym to go to. No wonder it’s $10 a month.

There have been a lot of reviews about this gym allowing homeless people (who are members) to lounge around in the gym. It is true. It may be bad for business, but the owner of the gym allows it anyway. As far as I'm concerned, this gym is doing the Lord's work. I commend them for trying to help others in a city that is rampant with homeless people. The bottom line is that the gym has all the equipment and facilities you need to improve your health. The gym is well maintained/clean. And the pricing is a great value: it's open 24 hours, 7 days a week. They even offer classes. So there are no excuses to getting on the road to fitness.

This place is ALWAYS dirty .. shower curtains have mold on them , floors always wet with wet floors just put up … bathrooms definitely nasty .. I think this is the dirtiest planet fitness I’ve been in out here .. and the kids they have working here have terrible customer service

Somebody broke into my locker and stole my wallet - they say there isn’t much they can do about it because there is no CCTV inside of the locker room. I’m not putting 100% blame on them, but still..

Staff is standing around not doing anything.

In the amount of money you waste hiring too many people, you could buy more weights.

There’s ONE fly machine. There’s always a line at the squat rack.

There’s never enough dumbbells.

I’ve seen instances of blood all over the floor in the men’s bathroom. Not that they’re really ever clean.

People really have to line up to use anything.

Lastly the app’s “crowd meter” is wholly inaccurate.

I’m typing this as I wait for a set of dumbbells. It is now minute 25.

So I’ve been coming to this gym for about 2 years and have seen it degrade month by month. The actual workout area is ok but the locker rooms and showers most of the times are dirty and almost unusable. At the time I am writing this review 2 of the 4 men’s shower stalls have been down for weeks. To make matters worse a lot of the people using them treat them like their own personal showers and constantly taking 20 plus minute showers and even shaving in them.

Most of the lockers have locks on them even at 3am when the gym is mostly empty. I’ve seen people using at least 3 lockers to permanently store their personal items there.

The worse part is several times people are sleeping on the benches in the locker room and others are having outbursts yelling at other patrons.

My honest suggestion even if it does go against my own interests is to shut this gym down atleast 2 to 3 hours nightly to clean it up and sanitize. It would also help clear out the riff raff that park there cars there all night long, identify those who are hogging the lockers and use the locker rooms like their second homes.

Staffing 1 male at 12am in a high traffic and high homeless population area is one of the most irresponsible and cheapest decisions I've seen from a gym.

The poor kid Nathan was all alone and was told not to leave the front desk! Extremely stressed out, yet wanting to help, but was not allowed to because he had to make sure only PF members come through the front door!
I could tell he was terrified about the entire situation, I would be too, left alone at 12am.

Why do I feel he was scared and why is this a problem?

While taking a shower during this 12am gym visit, in the disabled stall next to me an elderly homeless man through actual feces from the disabled stall onto the changing stall door!

And there it remains, because of incompetence on behalf of the owner and managers. Especially the hiring manager. In addition to this, only TWO of the men's showers were operational.

Something should be done about the constant disrespectful nature of not only some of the homeless population but also the regular gym goer with larger than life egos, who think "eh somebody will clean it up".

So, Jimmy the general manager, I would like to speak to you about hiring another staff member at night, and possibly implementing a point based system for volatile behavior such as the fecal throwing.
Or even hiring a security guard to post up at the front door, may help having an intimidation factor to prevent erratic behaviors.

There’s been a persistent issue at this location that’s reaching a tipping point. In the free weights area people are claiming 3-4 sets of free weights and just scattering them around their benches. This up to 8 weights sometimes! When multiple people do this there are NO weights left. It’s on mgmt and employees to address this as the patrons are not doing it themselves.

This gym is no where close to how it used to be. One of the employees gives me a difficult time about signing in. My cell phone is dead and he knows I'm a member yet tells me to find an outlet outside somewhere else to charge my phone. Also I can't enjoy my massage w out having someone go into my room. When I am trying to use the restroom or shower the employees start walking around the doors. I can tell it's an employee because of the black shoes. When I shower there is always someone making weird noises and when I am changing in the changing room there is an employee walking around the doors w the black nike shoes. Seriously feels like I am being harassed. If I was an employee I would put myself in the customers shoes. Some old customers still come to this gym unlike the new employees which we won't see later on
