I love this location! The other location where I was a previous member would only let you use the aqua massage and chair massages for 5 minutes. At this location, the front desk staff has always given me a full ten minutes, and then if I want to use a different machine, they would with no problems, especially if there was no one waiting for them.

Rude and discriminatory staff at the front desk of this gym.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this place if you don’t want unnecessary problems.

They defend their employees even though those employees are the face of the company, yet they clearly don’t hire the right people for the job. You greet them and they don’t respond; you say goodbye and they ignore you. And on top of that, they look you up and down with obvious disrespect. Seriously?

I’m Colombian, and we were raised with respect and values — something many people here clearly lack. Some grew up without identity, without pride, and without any sense of belonging. Then they look at you with contempt as if you’re supposed to stay quiet. Not happening.

Learn some basic values: greet your customers, say goodbye, and treat people with dignity.
Any Colombian with principles will always defend their roots and never bow their head to injustice — especially not from people who show no history, no culture, and no sense of identity as a generation. 😂👍

Update: Had to take a star. The cardio machines have TVs that don't work and it honestly makes it a bit of a chore to complete what's already hard work. You can either look at your reflection or the time/mile counter for 30 minutes to an hour. With cold season here, keeping sanitation stations fully stocked should be paramount, but it's 5am and stations are already out of paper towels, I kind of just don't get it. The weighted equipment is archaic and you need to be mindful of the mechanics on these machines as the designs remind me of something trying to be ergonomic. Some machines are great and i can really feel that stretch, but others feel so awkward, even after adjustment that I'm not sure why they haven't been either serviced or switched out completely. The staff is friendly enough and work hard, but this gym is in dire need of a facelift.

Overall it's good but the music is TOO DAMN LOUD. I can't hear my podcast even at max volume because the gym speakers are blasting. I asked the guy at the reception, he said there are NO controls to change the volume. What?!! How's that possible? Makes zero sense. Maybe a decade ago the loud music was needed to blast like this but now everyone is listening to their own stuff. Can we bring down the music?

My biggest issue with this gym is that there have been several instances where no employee shows up to open the gym at the listed opening time on the weekends (7 am). As I'm writing this there is a line of customers waiting for someone to open the gym. This is a recurring issue, albeit infrequently, that needs to be resolved immediately.

This is the worst planet fitness I have ever been to. I travel a lot for work and have been to dozens of locations. The manager that runs this one simply doesn’t care. Several of us came to workout on a Saturday morning, and they told us they turned off all of the stair master machines to “clean” them yet we waited around for a LONG time and no employees were cleaning the machines. We watched them sit at the front giggling and talking to each other instead. Additionally, a few months back one of the employees became very aggressive with me, accusing me of intentionally bumping into her while I was walking to the next machine. Why would I do that? I don’t even know her lol. This feels more like a middle school cafeteria than a gym. Go literally anywhere else!

Been going to this gym for more than two years now. Used to be better when it was 24 hours but does have all lot of positives. Gym is clean and there team member Anthony is awesome. They only have FOUR WORKOUT MATS. HOW! I asked them THREE TIMES for one and the two workers just looked at me like ummmm have you checked downstairs? YES. How they have NO back stock of mats is BEYOND me. I’m not touching your floor with my entire body to get my workout in when I could have quite literally just stayed home. One Star – Dishonest and Potentially Fraudulent

Planet Fitness has been a nightmare. They overcharged me multiple times, and even after I showed them proof, they refused to correct the issue. Whenever I tried to resolve it, they blamed my bank or gave me the runaround.

What’s worse is their total disregard for customer accountability. I’m now genuinely concerned about how they handle personal and financial data. The whole experience felt shady and exploitative.

Avoid this gym. Their billing practices are misleading, and their customer service is non-existent once you call them out. I had to cancel my credit card and debit card because I was afraid of continued bad practices. Also, listen to their responses; they lie.

DO NOT JOIN PLANET FITNESS — Dishonest and Borderline Fraudulent

I’ve been dealing with an absolute nightmare at Planet Fitness. Here’s what happened:

They charged me a fee, claiming it was my bank’s fault — that the bank charged me because they didn’t have my correct account numbers. I went straight to my bank, who confirmed this was completely false. The fee came from Planet Fitness, not the bank.

I provided clear proof from my bank showing Planet Fitness was responsible — and they completely disregarded the evidence. No accountability. Just deflection.

Every time I try to escalate, I’m told a manager will call me back. That never happens. It’s a broken loop of empty promises.

Worse still, they’re pushing a contract that says I have to buy out my membership, even though when I joined, I was clearly told it was a month-to-month membership and I could cancel at any time. It even looks like my signature may have been forged on one of their documents — it does not match what I actually signed.

The front desk staff I’ve spoken with seem embarrassed and sympathetic — they know this happens often, but their hands are tied. This is clearly a systemic issue at Planet Fitness, not a one-off mistake.

This place operates like a scam. They lie, they charge you improperly, they refuse to take responsibility, and they
trap you in a contract you never agreed to.

I urge anyone considering Planet Fitness: stay away. There are plenty of honest gyms out there. This is not one of them.

Worst Planet Fitness I’ve been to. It’s very congested. They tried to fit in as many equipment in a small space. No space to stretch. No personal space. I appreciate that they are cleaning, but while I was on the treadmill, they were cleaning with very strong bleach and it was a very unpleasant and irritating smell especially when you’re trying to catch your breath from cardio. Since they’re not 24hours, they can technically do the harsh chemicals when they close and nobody in the small building. Also, so many broken machines. They need a bigger space or location. I’m never coming back to this location.

I had a really bad experience at this Planet Fitness location. I barely came to work out because they constantly spray strong-smelling chemicals in the gym that gave me headaches every time.

When I signed up, they took my credit card without telling me they don’t even accept credit cards—only debit or checking accounts. Because of that, I was charged a $20 late fee every month for six months without ever being notified. When I finally noticed and came in to ask about it, the manager (I believe his name is Hernando) gave me major attitude and refused to help.

To be honest, I highly recommend going to the Planet Fitness at 4645 Venice Blvd instead. The staff there is way more professional, the energy is better, and the equipment is much nicer.

Recently, I tried to transfer my membership since I hadn’t used the gym in over a year. A staff member told me she couldn’t do it because the system was “locked” and only the manager could help. She wrote my info down and said they’d handle it in the morning—nothing happened. So I came back again and got more attitude from the same manager.

This place doesn’t treat people right. I don’t recommend it at all. I really hope they change how they deal with clients and stop hiding fees behind poor communication.

I visited this Planet Fitness location for the first time, and it was a terrible experience. When I started using a shower in the female locker room, I noticed that about two inches of water had pooled, clearly indicating that the drain wasn’t working. Feeling disgusted, I switched to another shower, only to find the exact same issue.

I brought this to the attention of a female employee, who at least attempted to address the problem by cleaning the pipes. However, I also wanted to speak to a manager because this level of negligence is completely unacceptable. When I spoke to the general manager, Almont, I was shocked by his response—he wasn’t even remotely apologetic. Instead of acknowledging the problem or showing concern for member experience, he told me I wasn’t allowed to return because I “don’t respect them.”

If this gym actually respected its members, they would prioritize keeping the facility clean and properly maintained. Instead, they’ve failed miserably in both customer service and basic hygiene. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone.

I set up my membership at this gym and then moved to Denver. I’ve been told In order to move my account the mid-city location needs to do it for me. I have been calling this gym everyday for WEEKS and no one answers. I have left COPIOUS voicemails and no one has called me back. I searched the reviews and the energy of the biased staff that react oddly to "some" of their customers sounds about right. I already checked in but this worker wanted me to check in again because I wanted to use the black card services I paid for. His staff is very rude as well and would rather judge my shoes than provide a friendly experience when I enter and exit. The gym is disgusting but yet they stand around and judge their clients in the judgment free zone instead of picking up a mop and a broom.
