About four months ago, I came to your location to cancel my Planet Fitness membership. Your staff told me that my membership had been canceled, so I deleted the app. However, I recently discovered that my account has been charged every month for the past four months.

Later, when I tried to resolve the issue, I was directed to another branch. If cancellations cannot be processed at this location, then how was I told that my membership was canceled here four months ago? You caused me a lot of inconvenience by sending me from one branch to another.

I was charged for four months despite not using any services. This is unacceptable. Because of this experience, I do not recommend Planet Fitness at all.

Review for the Gym

I recently visited this gym, and unfortunately, the air quality inside is very poor. The ventilation system does not seem to be working, as there is no fresh air coming in from outside. The humidity levels are extremely high, making the air feel heavy and stale. It’s difficult to breathe due to the lack of oxygen, and the overall temperature inside is quite hot. This creates an uncomfortable environment for workouts, especially during intense training sessions. Proper ventilation is crucial for a gym, and I hope the management addresses this issue soon.

Gentilmente fui solicitado desocupar el lugar, después de que sus empleados generaran resentimientos hacia mi persona porque les pedí tiempo para seguir sus reglas, es increíble que exista tan pésimo servicio 😡 a estas alturas en una empresa que siempre he tenido en alta estima, lamentablemente su personal este día dejo mucho que desear, y lo que es peor es que tergiversan la información a autoridades más altas con el fin de "tapar" sus debilidades mentales y su falta de educación. No recomiendo para nada asistir a este club de gym. Si tienes una queja con ellos lo mejor es entenderte con los dueños del negocio o la administración principal, quienes seguramente no entienden como sus empleados están estropeando el clima en general dentro de sus sucursales.

The staff they have are so rude for some reason. And they are on their phones and eating while on the clock. I get they have breaks but when you're on the clock and get made for me asking about a membership it makes no sense. I have a black card I had brought a guess with me. And I got the massage bed for my guest with MY MEMBERSHIP. The staff got mad at me and said that they were not allowed to use the bed even though they were my guess. And I have done this before and no staff have ever told me this before. So I don’t see the problem. And when I tried to offer a fist bump to kinda “swash the beef” the dude said he was eating and rolled his eyes at me. Like my bad for trying to use the membership I am paying for and using the perks that come with it. No need to roll your eyes and make a scene in a public place. When there are people that slam weights which is against their rules. They checked me for using my membership. The new staff they have hired have such attitude problems and feel superior or something to be so rude to the gym goers. My friend is now hesitant to even go near this location due to the rude and poor quality of the staff.

This is how nice the staff are there:
There was a homeless lady who walked in and got water. They attempted to stop her when she first walked in (which is understandable) but they allowed her to drink.
Upon finishing drinking some water, she dashed into the bathroom. The gentleman was telling her to not go in but she did. He informed a female staff member and she went inside the bathroom. I was on the treadmill so I don't know what was said. Fast forward to the lady leaving. They told her she can't use the bathroom and that it is for members. A staff member went in the bathroom and cleaned it.
My point is, they showed her compassion which is rare these days. They could have been rude and disrespectful. They could have ushered her out. They actually had the right to refuse her, but they didn't. They could have called the police or security because the lady was trespassing, however, they did not.
Two thumbs up to the staff there.
I am not sure if this is the PF on Wilmington or Hawthorne. So to be clear, this incident transpired at the PF on Wilmington.

I would give 5 stars but they need fixing.... First let me start with this the gym and staff are always really nice and good people and as far as I've seen the equipment is always working available also so there's the pros , the cons I would say are there are hardly any charging stations in the mens restroom compared to other planet fitness, second off the showers are cold as ice and do not warm up at all so it must be literally no hot water connection to the showers or something this is the only planet fitness I've been to that has this issue so I'm hoping they can fix it because overall the gym is really nice honestly but the charging and showers need fixing, until then id say this is a 1-2 star gym because amenities like that matter to someone in my situation.
I mainly have a member shop because I'm homeless currently so phone chargers and showers are my main two reasons for having my membership it allows me to keep clean and allows me to have my devices charged so I can go work and so things such as doordash or Uber eats so hopefully this gym fixes their showers and just to mention the showers I'm speaking on are in mens restroom I cant go in the woman's showers because I'm a male so I'm not sure if they have hot water or not too but most likely it's cold for them also so if you need to workout here its great but if you need to charge your phone or shower here its horrible. These problems can easily be fixed so I hope gym owner does do that.

OK, so I go in here today and just to say ignorance is not innocent. I understand that so I’m going there today with my boyfriends card and I go in the back put my stuff in and go to go sit down to massage chair one of the tenants comes up to me saying oh excuse me can you come here your card is not working so I go up to the front and I say the card should be paid off for the year cause my boyfriend‘s sister paid it off for the year for him so he’s like no It is expired so we run the card again he says Oh no it is working, it expires on December 16 okay it the 2 of October today? I said well how would you know this because I’ve been here plenty of times. Is there like a picture or something that’s on there he said yes it is , I said OK because I was just here the day before yesterday and no one said anything to me! I am one disturbed by the fact that when I was standing right there and he held the monitor for me to put the card in he must’ve seen his face and didn’t say anything to me when entered. Then he waits till I come out to massage chairs to make a scene by telling me please come here Your card is not working when the card does work. I’m just not the person on the card. All he simply had to say to me upon entering because he was standing holding the scanner for me looking at me is whose card do you have if they’re not with you, you can’t use the gym. Telling me that the card is not working which it is working. And telling me when it is going to expire it all just seemed like he was trying to make a scene or make it seem like I was doing something deceitfully, which I’m not cause I’m on my way right now with my boyfriend. Honestly, honestly feel like only Latin people are welcome at this location from the music to the unfriendly looks I have received prior from the staff.

If you plan to arrive early (5-6am), note that the gym parking lot doesn’t open until 6am. It gets quite busy in the mornings; I went around 5:20am and it was crowded. The gym is spacious and has plenty of equipment, but it could be cleaner. On my first visit, I noticed the front desk staff talking to a member about a theft incident, which was a bit concerning. There was no hot water, after notifying a staff, the staff stated the personel that is in charge of turning the heater was not in, and that i will have to wait until 9am. It was 7:30am and I had to wash up to get to work- i took a cold shower. Nevertheless, the gym fullfills its purpose, just keep your items secure and be ready to take a cold shower. One last thing, they do not turn on theor AC- only fans by threadmill are on.

Yes, build a planet fitness in Downtown LA, one of the most heavily populated cities with tons of homeless people but only put 2 toilet stalls in the men's bathroom and 3 shower stalls, unreal.

It's also steaming hot in the gum at 9am, amazing.

It's just in a terrible location, really. Employees seem nice but overall unless you absolutely have to go here, don't.
It should have never been placed in this plaza because of the parking and so many heavily accessed stores within it, terrible terrible execution.

Local gym but doesn’t have system for the smith machines. Most planet fitness have waiting’s systems now. With a sign and designated waiting place for them. It’s completely frustrating waiting for one when people just hand over these without asking if you were already waiting or cutting you off to people they know. Please have a line systems for these.
