I work shifts from 10am - 10pm 6 days a week and I would gym around 12am or later due to my work schedule. The gym is always clean and the staff are respectful as well. I just haven’t been able to gym at this specific location in a few weeks due to the hours always changing around and already being closed when I arrive. I just wish it stayed 24hours. Other than that great people and very clean and organized.

It's fine. Its Planet Fitness, still not the joint for advanced lifters, but what do really expect right?? One of the cleanest branches I've been to, certainly. They still haven't got on that squat rack bandwagon, which is very unfortunate. But whatever, it works in a pinch-a-roo...

I appreciate it the greeting when you come into the building I also like the fact that I was able to get to all machines that I wanted to work through versus me sitting there waiting and using precious time before I can get to my workout I think that's the issue in some of your other buildings is the wait time I had a great workout that day cuz I was able to get in and get real work done.

The people who are in the lobby, they close at 9 pm on Friday, it is supposed to be a 24/7 plan, some people like me, we only have time to train from 8:00pm onwards, and in this case I could only train for 30 minutes, because I did not know they close at 9:00 pm.

Este lugar hay unas personas que trabajan que trabajan que se creen duenos y uno compra menbresia de black card y aqui hasta te quieren cobrar extra por entrar y segun que por que es una filial de planet y no es la misma compania solo es contractor el servicio muy pesimo la limpieza los banos pasan dias sin desinfectarlos ya que siempre entras y las tazas cochinas considero deberian de llegar los de la cuidad a inspeccionar de ves en cuando.

The best planet fitness on the planet, the machines are always up and running, there’s hardly ever a wait to use the equipment, and it’s always clean. The manager Jonathan is so accommodating I recommend you make this your home gym if you’re looking for a consistent experience!!

My usual gym, 24 HR Fitness, El Cerrito, CA was closed for remodeling so I used Planet Fitness, Richmond, CA until it reopened. They offer the Classic Plan @ $15/mo + $49 annual fee or Black Card @ $25/mo + &49 annual fee. The monthly dues are charged on the 17th of each month and the annual is on the 1st of the month after you join. The Black Card gives you unlimited access to the massage bed, massage chair, tanning bed and Total Body Enhancement Machine. Front desk gave me a quick orientation to the layout of the gym and when in doubt, scan the QR code on each machine for a video on how to use the machine properly. The machines are a bit different than what's at 24 HR Fitness but if I had persevered, I probably could have figured it out. What they don't have is a pool, jacuzzi and dry & wet sauna which are available at 24 HR Fitness in El Cerrito. I don't need the massage bed, chair & total body enhancement if I can plunge and soak in the pool & tub. I also wouldn't use the tanning bed even if it was included with my membership.

Usually not too crowded at this location. Not the safest area, but I never had a break-in here. Seems clean and generally a good buy for their prices, especially considering you can find a PF almost anywhere across the nation.

One of my favorite locations. The staff are friendly, kind and respectful. The security guard goes above and beyond and the staff are always on the cleaning. My whole family comes here and I've lost 50lbs in a year.

This gym is a great space. The staff is accommodating in explaining everything about membership and answering follow-up questions. They got me off to a good start with the utilities and the app's benefits. The equipment is new and takes my workouts to the top. The gym is always clean inside and out. The other members were polite, allowing me to get my workouts done and focus on the right things. The locker room has many available locker, just bring your lock. There are showers and all clean spaces. I like this gym, so I'll be going here from now on.

Unprofessional conduct at front desk
The staff are extremely rude
And the security guard isn’t of worthy
When the car break ins occur he’s answer is the cameras don’t work .

A lot of time theft are committed by the night shift

The security in general is disrespectful.

And the staff members aren’t there to do anything about it .

Speaking to the staff member (Adrian) suggested
I’m better off directly contacted the cope rate or the general manager

Because ( DEVYN ) the current manager isn’t any good .

By far the best planet fitness in the Bay Area. Everything is clean and and in its place (unfortunately a rarity in gyms).

The place is well lit along with good natural lighting. Though it’s in a rougher area, there is a security guard working so parking here is safe. The parking lot is small which is a double edge sword.

The staff is really nice, it’s always clean and there’s plenty of machines for every part of the body and types of workouts (cardio, functional training, weights, 30 minute workouts). The location is convenient! uh, the people that go there are very friendly too :)) so you feel happy and without worries when you are doing your workout cuz no one is gonna judge you. As a very introvert person, I feel good here. Totally recommend it!

Donovan tried his best, but Linda was rude and disrespectful and incited an argument and injected her opinion that was needed. Small parking lot so only 20 people can workout at a time and pray that your car doesn’t get broken in to. The front desk will force you to take a picture. Literally never been forced to take a picture to work out. I don’t like that there are pictures or me out there that I have no control over.

EDIT: It gets worse, the last few times I’ve been there I’ve caught men blatantly staring and watching me stretch. This is not a gym for women

Don’t go to this gym!!! Staff know someone is Breaking into cars and they do nothing about it. They can easily pay for security to stop the situation. A $10-$21 membership isn’t work the $250 it will cost you to pay for your window to get fixed…same your money.

Im very mad, and disappointed this gym supposed to be 24/7 and when my husband and I start the workout 40 min later let us know the gym will close because the front desk overnight employees didn’t show up and close just like that, if they’re thinking to close early, why not just said something on the app and save me the time and fuel i cancel my fitness 19 because close at 11 and this one is supposed 24/7

I have had problems on 2 or 3 different days that I came in. Some people don't know that Johnson and Johnson is one shot so some workers will keep saying over and over you neeed 2 shots until they check with a manager. The process to check in is tedious if this is not your home gym. A lot of the workers also don't know how to work the massage tables so you will have to go back and forth to the front desk. All in all they have been open for a short time so I will assume everyone is new and not knowledgeable about things they should be.
