I wanted to take the time and post a positive review. By Planet Fitness policy you must cancel membership in person at your home gym. Due to remodeling and construction I was unable to accomplish this due to no staff. I was informed that only a manager can approve the cancelation over the phone and to call back when the manager arrives. Derrick took the liberty to call me back, in which i did not expect. Derrick understood my situation and I was very appreciative.

I’m a truck driver so parking is first concern and I wouldn’t come here again after this visit. Usually I park in the back where truck belong but one gate was open and the other locked to I basically got stuck back there without room to turn around, not a huge deal. Water fountain hot, showers not hot, gang signs all over the locker room and stall doors super busted and SUPER DIRTY especially the showers like they haven’t been cleaned for a while, equipment was all up to par. Bad location for sure and no I won’t talk to a manager, just passing through town

I always go to this gym and I can say it’s a very good gym, it’s always so clean and I love the staff so much. Some honorable mentions are Raul, Isaac, & Angie. They always greet me since I go in the afternoon and I’ve never felt unwelcomed by them. They’re all super chill and funny, and I appreciate them always helping me out, they make the gym feel like a 2nd home. 🫶

Coming here was an amazing experience. Not only did I meet a highly distinguished manager (Derrick) as well as an organized, respected, and well-informed elite team backing him up. (Raul and Leslie's) presence at the front desk projects high positive energy with the best customer service you can ever ask for. I lost 24lbs this month due to these amazing people.

I really don’t like how you guys changed the hours for the weekends, used to be 24-hours as it still states on here, but now I believe it opens at 7am (Saturday-Sunday). Why change the hours without making any awareness about it? Is there anyway to go back to 24-hours for those two days? The whole reason I bought the membership here was solely to come on Saturday Sunday around 5am due to my other private gym not opening until 7am like this one does now. I don’t want to be forced to cancel my membership, so please reconsider going back to the original hours for the weekends. This was the only gym that had 24-hour access on the weekends, so that’s why I paid for the membership. I don’t want to go hunting for another 24-hour gym.

About 8mo ago this place used to be decent enough now it's dirty, machines are always broken, bathrooms are disgusting and staff acts like you are bothering them when you ask for something if you can even find them or
get them to look up from their phones. Also the hours have changed and it's no longer open 24hrs but they never updated that online. Sucks to have made this my home gym looked into changing to a different one but I'm not seeing the option. Only to upgrade which is something I can't afford to do at the moment. Hoping it improves 🤷

I go to this gym almost daily and there's always something broken. For me, it's normally not an issue, I can usually modify my workout. But today I counted how many machines were out of order and found 11. I am sure others are unlabeled. I think it's a bit excessive.

Comments prior to mine are spot on… I travel and I go to 4 different locations a week and this one on vineyard is hands down the dirtiest one I have ever seen. From the floors, to the bathrooms, to never having paper towels to use to clean the machines… They have rags that are soiled with God knows what.I never see anyone cleaning in the morning… The Sylmar one and the one in Hesperia are spotless!!! I think I will be going to the one on 4th off the 10fwy. Better to drive a couple more miles.

Sucks that this is my home gym restroom are always dirty, locker room and gym floor look they haven’t been vacuumed in a long time. There’s only five gym mats considering that it does get very busy and all run out during peak hours. Ontop of that gym mats are tore up and haven’t been replaced or none have been added in a very long time. There is very little machines not like other planet fitness that have two of each machines. However, machines they are always dusty and not sanitized. Lastly disinfecting bottles are always empty this by far the most unsanitary planet fitness I’ve been to considering I have the black card membership and go to other planet fitness. Management is doing a lousy job sometimes front desk is left unattended from working not coming in they need to hire more people to replenish the gym. Truly hope this post helps upgrade things I’ll be including pictures down below.

UPDATE 2: Discovered some kind of worm or parasite in the locker room sink on my way out. I’ve reported this location to San Bernardino County Public Health. Stay away unless you want to get sick!!!

UPDATE: Decided to give this location another try. Still terrible and I probably will finally cancel my membership. 3 employees just chilling at the desk, helping no one. Meanwhile, the men’s locker room is currently the most disgusting locker room I’ve ever seen at any gym, ever - standing water with gnats, grime and unknown crud all over the floors, toilets look like they haven’t been cleaned in weeks. Hope someone calls the health inspector on y’all because that locker room will definitely get someone sick. Please consider closing this location and making your Philadelphia Chino location 24 hours since they actually care about customers and the facilities. Adios, Planet Fitness!

ORIGINAL: This location is a hot mess. Just spent 20+ minutes trying to find an employee. The front desk was completely unstaffed. Eventually a girl returned to the front desk only to inform me that the hydromassage amenity that I was waiting for was broken. This has got to be one of the worst planet fitness locations I’ve ever visited. I won’t be back and I’m probably cancelling my membership because of this. Avoid this location - just awful.

Planet fitness Ontario CA is the worst. First of all on this past Wednesday I greeted staff at front desk good bye the employee was so rude just looked at me laughed spit out his drink. I approached guys at front counter asked what's so funny guy worked here made some half ass excuses. Every time I've had to come to this location the employees behind the front counter are extremely unprofessional lack good customer service. It's mostly ran by immature young adults. Who don't acknowledge you constantly on their phone. The stall in the bathroom is still out of order. The couches in the middle next to tanning rooms are hideous. We as paying members thing I just mentioned be rectified especially the employees lack of customer service I never see them do anything I watch them sit behind the counter and look at their phone when I attend is the one in the Rialto and they are doing a hell of a job they acknowledge everybody that walks in their professional and their young adults too but some young adults are just not mature. i have been coming to this gym for about a year and a half and this has to be the most unorganized one ive seen. my bf tells me how the mens restroom is never cleaned, never hot water, band aids and who knows what in the showers, paper towels everywhere on the floor. We see a guy go in but work is never done he just sits in there. Its probably always dirty since we never see a male worker in the afternoons. When i come in the mornings the spray bottles are never full. I only ever see the nice girl with the glasses keeping the bottles full and cleaning in the afternoons doing her job. I dont know whats going on with the male employees or management but they need to step it up.

Reason I give it 2 is because it does have a variety of new equipment, however a lot of the machines are not all height friendly so for shorter people there is only so much you can do and some of the machines are kinda complex to figure out, and no one is around to ask for assistance in showing how machines work. This place is a few minutes away so it’s convenient but that’s about it. Since I signed up 2 years ago I’ve been waiting on the in club fitness training as I was told at the moment there were no trainers but there would be in the future.

Rating this a two because they have a good variety of equipment and open 24 hours. However, half the treadmills are out of order. There is ALWAYS trash littered around. I've seen balls of tissue stuffed in treadmills and corners and bottles that sit for weeks. Granted, that's a reflection of the people that frequent the gym, but most times I catch the staff hanging out, doing absolutely nothing. It would take 15 minutes out of their shift to walk through and pick up trash. There are so many people that use this gym like it's not a public space, eg sitting at machines while on their phones for extended periods of time, leaving items at machines that are not being used to superset, leaving dumbbells scattered or dropping them in incorrect weight slots, working out right in front of weights, blocking others from getting anything. It's ridiculous. Maybe that happens at every gym, but either way, steps can be made by staff to reduce that, again, a simple walkthrough. Little signs posted won't do it. There are some genuinely courteous gym-goers, but it's few. So if these things don't bother you, then I'd recommend it.

Clean, not many people there, I just really wish they would fix the showers. They have 4 and only one is worth using. Two of them don't even work or turn on, one of them the water pressure is so low it's barely a sprinkle, and the one that does work and has good water pressure is always nasty because that's the one everyone uses. I like cold showers so I'm not gonna complain about the lack of hot water, but it's really annoying when I have to sit in the locker room for 30 minutes waiting for the guy in the shower to finish jacking off because there's no other showers available.

Had to update my review. Unfortunately this gym has failed to keep the machines in proper working order. When a machine is broken it stays that way for months. They don't turn on the AC, no matter how hot it gets. As another member said, the a couple of the workers in the front have no concept of customer service.

Restrooms were dirty. Trash everywhere on the floor. The kids at the front desk were too deep in their personal conversation to notice. I think I counted 6 smith machines. Only 1 was being used, yet all of them had weights on the bars and the benches were all over the place. I drive for a living so I've visited ALOT of Socal Planet Fitness locations. This one had to be the most disorganized and unwelcoming location that I've visited. I'll be skipping this one in the future.

UPDATE: I always give credit where it's due. As of 11/29/23, All of the issues I had listed were all fixed. It took a while but it's better than never.

People complaining about staff not greeting them are worried about the wrong reasons. I'm not there to talk to staff and ask them how the weather is, I'm there to workout. BUT I can't do it when cable machines are broken for months, leg extension/curl machine doesn't have the padding for your shins/calves, snap hooks on cables are nowhere to be seen, and I feel like cable attachments are missing!

There's also minor issues but it doesn't stop me from getting a good lift. Upholstery on most machines are ripped, sanitizing bottles are empty, and the flooring is all messed up near the cable machines! Y'all need to be careful cause if a Karen or Ken sees that, she's "tripping" on it for sure and y'all about to get sued.

This gym is so convenient for me as it is a mile away from my house but I'm honestly considering other gyms now cause of all the major issues.

4 months review. I'm sorry to do this but I had to update my review. In the 4 months of being a member I have never experienced a warm shower. I practically shower here on the daily due to it being so convenient to my place of work. I noticed that they were running tankless water heaters which I am very familiar with. The hot water is set on a timer. If it doesn't get used within a set time it turns off. An easy reset kicks it back on. Another thing. The shower curtains facing the inside are GRIMEY! After your shower if you happened to touch it it feels slimy to the touch. Let's not forget the drain flies! With all this I don't feel right about using their equipment. Forget walking barefoot anywhere in the locker room.

I usually go to the planet fitness on fourth Street and Ontario. I thought I would try a different location closer to my house. The one on Vineyard Avenue is very unprofessional. The employees do not follow up any of the rules and regulations. Every time I come to this location, everybody is slamming down weights, talking on their cell phones and playing music out loud without using their headphones. Very disrespectful. Also the lounge or relax area all the chairs and sofas are completely worn out. Will not come back to this location again.

I'm being going for months to this gym. The problem with this gym they don't keep up equipment maintenance. They still have couple equipment haven't being repair for couple months and seeing they don't care about it.

I have the opportunity to visit many PF's. This one has fallen way down lately. Dim lighting, trash on the floor, no one at the front desk. I can go on and on. If you have the ability, drive a little further and visit a different PF. The best I've been to is in Temple city. The worst, Huntington Park on Florence. But this one, is not much better than HP.

The staff just sit there on their phones and don’t clean often whatsoever. At one point, there was no disinfecting spray for the equipment for whatever reason, I think the staff must’ve forgotten to put it out, because after 2 hours they finally put it out. They don’t greet you. They don’t say “see ya”. Not a word. You could walk in without scanning in and they would not care whatsoever. Hell, they wouldn’t even notice. Truly disheartening that they’re hiring staff that truly don’t care to even DO THEIR JOB. It’s ridiculous. I’ve seen over several people just not scan in most days, and I go 5 days a week. Tell your staff to either do their jobs and get off their phones, or leave, because they obviously are only there to collect a paycheck and give the bare minimum effort required.

Worst gym I've been to ever, been going to 24hr fitness, Crunch, & Planet Fitness on & off since 2012 from Santa Monica to Irvine. This location is just a step or two up in condition from my high school gym lol jp.
Shower water is always cold, only 2 of 4 shower heads work good, only 2 of 3 sinks work, people keep their locks on the lockers 24/7/365 so half of the lockers are unusable especially the ones by the bench seats, Massage chairs are old & worn. Some treamills need to be serviced.
Staff is ok, But horrible management & ownership.
Homeless people live in their cars in the parking lot.
This location is open 24/7 but should be closed 24/7. Go to the new one a couple miles north

I went to this gym last time because is open 24 hrs and it was the first time for me and my husband. When we finished our rutina we dicede to take a shower, Well let me tell you the water was cold and the drawn was full of hair and the handicap shower has nowhere to stand. This place is really nusty. We are not return and I do not recomienda this place. PLEASE DON'T COME HERE.
