4 gym in 4 different days, while this is likely the smallest one I've been to yet, it packs a punch and squeezes a great set of equipment to match what the others have without losing out to empty air. All the cardio equipment have their own TVs, where others have big TVs mounted for all to share.
Staff as always greet and friendly communicate. More positive memories with my black card and Planet Fitness.

Gym is quiet and easy going.

The staff here is fantastic and has a great attitude.

I am not at all excited about the annual membership fee though. I thought when I signed up I was getting a straight monthly fee without anything else to worry about but then boom here it comes. Sure it’s in the contract and when you go looking for it you see it in the app too but it’s not in the advertisements at all when getting started. Just feels really shady when you think you are getting one thing and then you get hit with another fee.

I am canceling days before the annual fee hits but I’m told it needs to be 7 days before July 26th not 3 days before so there was no accommodation on that side of things. Will I come back here? Probably not based on trying this gym out for a little less than two months is actually costing me about $100.

The staff are great! I recently met with Elijah who gave me wonderful alternate exercises for my injured shoulder. He was very helpful and listened to my fitness goals and helped me put together and upper body routine. Even for my lower body he provided other exercises that will challenge me. Very happy!

The gym it's self is amazing the staff is very helpful ...
Unfortunately I am very unhappy about the man Bejemin who runs the lot he has repeatedly harassed me I am disabled and have a parking pass he knocked on my window after 30 mins of being in your parking lot. I have spoken to the manager who has been so kind but I am afraid if I can't have this handled I will have to find another gym.We pay $50 dollars a month between my self and my spouse.
This man needs to be addressed and delt with its so sad I can't even enjoy my gym time cuz this man I insists on harassing us it's been almost 2 years and multiple complaints to multiple people he was brought into the gym asked to stop bothering me he continues.
Please someone help me find out how to stop this man.

This gym does not accept prepayment; it doesn't have a temporary short-term membership option of any kind; no one can pay upfront for an annual membership; if credit card is used, they require two credit cards on file, which I have never heard of anywhere else; and they insist on checking account use for monthly membership. Very restrictive way to do business in 2025.

This place sucks. Their billing practice is horrible. They want you to give them your checking account routing number. I don't give my checking account routing number out to anybody. It's too dangerous and open to fraud. So they constantly charge late fees if your CC number changes even when they have your debit card on file. They charge your debit card the late fee. When you go in and tell them to change the CC number they don't do it and charge you late fees again. Ask if you can pay a year in advance and they won't allow it. This company make money off late fees. It's part of their business plan. Plus they let me into the women's locker room. Sick

Update to my review previously. I was told to communicate with location management which I sent an email 1 week ago and still no response. What kind of manager doesn't even address a loyal client concern. Just bad customer handling philosophy.

Overall good gym, clean, nice workers. Only complaints are why are paper towels always empty when I arrive at 8a. Staff at night and in AM need to check throughout the day. And what's with the NEW equipment layout on far left upper corner? Some machines facing other equipment right next to them so like #118 is seated leg curls if you are using that machine you are watching #117 do leg extensions the whole time, it's creepy to have someone watch you with your 3 ft personal space, 100% time while you are working out. Move them back please. It was fine before!

Carlos and the whole team is racist against black people. I had just moved to Orange County and thought that I could use my membership anywhere. I was able to workout the first day that I went to this location. But the second time, the staff didn’t tell me at the front desk that my membership didn’t work. Instead they sent a female employee to follow me in the restroom and she didn’t say a word to me. She just stared at me which was weird. Then when I walked past the front desk again to go to a treadmill, nobody called me to the front desk. Again all the staff were just staring at me from behind the front desk before finally sending a female employee to tell me I couldn’t workout. I asked her if they could help me switch my account to this location and she said “No. You have to go in person to your old gym to change it.” Which was a lie! I was able to change my gym within 2 minutes on the Planet Fitness website. So I got kicked out for no reason! When I tried to call and complain, Carlos said that the employee in the bathroom didn’t talk to me because I “hid in the bathroom stall”. I didn’t hide from anybody because I didn’t do anything wrong and didn’t know that my membership didn’t work there. Carlos’ comment about me “hiding in the bathroom” confirms that him and his employees kept staring at me because they thought that I was purposely trying to sneak in there gym and workout without a membership. Which was a wrong assumption to make. I thought this was supposed to be a judgement free gym but the employees are very judgmental. With that being said, Carlos should not be an assistant manager or general manager. And the other employees need retraining since they kick people out of the gym and don’t know how to help customers switch their membership locations which like I said only takes 2 minutes on the Planet Fitness website.

My experience at Planet Fitness was frustrating. I gave a friend a ride to the gym, and although I hadn't been using my membership, it was suspended due to non-payment since I really hadn't got around to canceling it or keeping it. When I walked in to explain my situation and use the restroom, I spoke with Carlos, who seemed unhelpful and negative. Despite my explanation that I still technically had a paid membership and just needed restroom access, he refused to accommodate me. It was a confusing and disappointing encounter, and ultimately, I decided to cancel my membership altogether.

It's not the right way to treat a member, especially over something minor like using the restroom. This experience sheds light on how Planet Fitness operates.

i've been a "black-card" member for a while. i went into a planet fitness for the 1st time in april. i went to the location on tustin street in orange. the employee there said he couldn't find my membership. he said he couldn't find me in the system at all. he said i could not still be signed up, & that i'd have to apply again. when i was unable to verify myself through your website, it seemed that what he was saying was true. therefore, i believed him. believing him that i had no membership, i signed up again on my phone, THEN he finally said i'm in the system once, & have 1 membership active.

he lied. that's fraud. you folks have been double-charging me every month for 7 months. that's $175 of fraud charges. an employee there named hannah, & the manager daisy, both told me that he should have been able to find me no problem. then daisy claimed it's impossible to cancel the 2nd membership, & that there was no further help she could give me. she also said the website never shows any membership info', & is only capable of signing up new memberships.

you folks now know you are double-charging me, that i never consented to this, & that the double-charging happened 100% only because of denying my black-card membership through lies...yet you're continuing the fraudulent charging & refusing to tell me how to cancel either membership. i've reported it to my bank as fraud, & i will file a police report.

This place was never the most amazing but it’s now completely falling apart. Things need to be replaced not just glued or taped back together. Some of the cleaning racks are about to fall off the walls. Many treadmills are broken and squeaky.

My least favorite part as someone who has paid for their black card membership for over 5 years (including when it shouldn’t have been charged during the pandemic shutdown, but knowing it’s impossible to get $ back from a gym I didn’t even try) but that’s not what burns my buttons… what burns my buttons is ANYONE can use the black card services, no one ever checks. So why am I paying more?

I decided to switch gyms around this year from 24hr to PF. My comfort level doesn’t like crowds! Been coming after work (because I truly do not wake up earlier enough to go) and it hasn’t been crowded - 4 pm or 6 pm. That’s nice! I was concerned about that. Most machines work but they seem on top of that. Friendly smiles and so far, no candy or pizza offered so that’s a plus!

Another negative experience with planet fitness, again I come to Tustin for work and am targeted and asked to leave as well as having the police called on me for absolutely nothing.

The manager, Elvira Fores, comes up to me out of the blue and accuses me talking to another patron, and then says maybe I looked at another patron. This is basically becoming a reoccurring theme at planet fitness, apparently you are not allowed to look in the direction of other people or talk to other people at their facilities. I asked to see this video evidence that she swore she had and asked who and she said she didn't need to provide proof.

Basically the bottom line is I feel as if I am being discriminated against at the planet fitness locations, either because I live out of an RV or because the club manager was Hispanic, I don't know, but probably because I live in an RV, seems to be a the theme as I move around the country.

I am tired of being discriminated against, but they state they do not need to provide service if they choose, but the bottom line they are refusing service because I am considered homeless which is a legally protected category as far as I am aware.

I've been going here for about a year. The staff has been great to know and how they recognize their members. The facilities are well kept and the locker room are very clean.the reason for the 4 star rating is that ever since they change their hours, I'm not able to workout early morning before my 6am start at work. I was able to show up at 3am workout and take a shower and to work I went. Now it opens ar 5am and doesn't work for me.

One of my favorite Planet Fitness.

Usually pretty empty before 5pm. Even after 5pm I am able to come in and get my workout done without having to wait too long for machines.

Staff is friendly and respectful. Staff keeps place clean.

Members are friendly and there to workout not just hang out on machines. Usually if someone see you're waiting they address you.

Moved to this Planet Fitness because the one in Santa Ana was packed with teens sitting on machines not working out.

I am not someone who loves to go to the gym but I do like going to Planet FItness! I do not feel intimidated or nervous as I have in other gyms! There are people of all ages working out, which is very comfortable as I feel I fit in perfectly! I especially enjoy the Express Workout section where I start my workout. All of the machines are in good working condition and I like that I can upgrade my membership to include tanning and massage equipment! Although I haven't needed to use them, having showers and areas to do makeup and hair is very handy! The employees are always welcoming and helpful. Planet Fitness is almost like having a very well equipped gym in my home!

This gym is the closest to my house but also one of the smallest I've been in. So there's about 1 of everything, except for a couple of machines and the cardio machines. Sometimes it'll get packed and it will get hard to finish a workout because you can't get on equipment. And since I'm writing this review for people to read. HERE'S A PSA: Stop sitting on equipment if you aren't using it. Gets annoying waiting for people! Thanks. All in all, great gym and nice staff. Love this place and the price. The facility needs work. The woman’s locker room is filled with black mold and peeling wall paper. As well the paper towels for cleaning the equipment are often empty.
