Manager is always great, always smiling and saying good morning and goodbye. Our issue is mostly with the bathrooms in this facility. They are in need of a major upgrade and even though we witness the workers clean it, they are still filthy from just years of abuse. Additionally it would be nice if the new machines could be a bit rearranged. Right now the layout is so confusing and makes no sense. It would be nice to have the 30min body workout machines isolated as they are right now, but pair the rest of the machines together moving from a pull push flow. For example have the bench press cable machines side by side and have the next machine be the arm row cable machines, followed by shoulder press and then the lat pull downs. You can then follow those up by the leg press and leg curl machines. And we would greatly appreciate if we can get one or even two more leg abductor/hip flexor machines and another hip thruster cable machine. Those are the most popular of the leg machines and are always taken by high schoolers always on their phones. Speaking of which during summer the free high school gym goers are fine but it would be nice to have them make reservations so they are not all at the gym at the same time. As members for the past two years we have seriously consider just canceling my wife’s and mine memberships because of them. Always rude, always hogging machines and not working out and always in groups of 3 or more, it’s way too much. Please consider having them at least make reservations for certain times of the day if anything else. We really, really were close to canceling because of them. If you can’t do the machine rearrangement or even remodel the bathrooms, please please consider limiting the amount of high schoolers during summer.

My particular Planet Fitness is not 🅾︎🅿︎🅴︎🅽︎ 24 🅷︎🅾︎🆄︎🆁︎🆂︎ 𝕒𝕟𝕪𝕞𝕠𝕣e! 3 days a week they close at 9pm. EVERY OTHER P.F. in this vicinity (Bakersfield, Visalia, and even Delano!) STAY OPEN 24/7.. it makes it very difficult for us who work (odd hours) to work out consistently.
PLEASE CONSIDER STAYING OPEN AS ADVERTISED.
WHY ONLY PORTERVILLE? It isn't fair to all the loyal members. 😕

Most of the gyms need to have security and one thing is that people that have membership or no membership they use the gym to hook up with people or the parking lot to do their thing it's very disgusting how come they can't do it the regular way and get a motel or meet at a different spot and the business parking lot is not a place to meet in private stuff or to leave your cars unattended and there's been evidence on the ground by used condoms and wrappers most of the places the owner of the property or the business has cameras everywhere

Planet fitness is the most bang for you buck don't recommend planet fitness porterville. The staff doesn't hold the disrespectful people accountable I just left had to beg for a bench that a girl was sitting on watching her boyfriend doing squats.I can tell you almost evertime I go into porterville planet fitness it is this way. I have been to well over 20 planet fitness they are never like this.If Porterville was the only planet fitness I would cancel.

Cutting hrs back is absolutely ridiculous.. place still advertises 24/7 on the door but only open 3 days a week in the early morning, some of us actually work 6-7 days a week and want to go early to avoid crowds and kids.. Gym is ok, but the staff are absolute monkeys. I got my membership cancelled for bringing in more than one guest and they tried claiming it was my fault despite them not stopping me for a good week and giving me the option to add more than one person. It's alright for beginners but look elsewhere for a better gym. They take their job WAY too seriously for being paid $16 an hour.

Would really enjoy if the club was 24hrs all week instead of having to drive out of town to visit other clubs. There is a sign on the door that states as of May 2023, the club will be in operation 24/5 but in reality, the club is only 24 hours for three days during the middle of the week. Ever since they took 24 hour access away it’s been difficult to get a good workout in. Members are forced to wait for machines every visit. Maybe group limitations might help. I’ve seen people workout in groups of 4 per station making wait times increase.

Hey Maria, if I got your name right, I had a really unprofessional experience at your place. My ID was thrown around, my private information wasn't respected, and my friends were treated poorly too they also have +card and can easily bring me as a guest for the night and tommrow could’ve solved the issue .but she prioritized her personal feelings over her professional responsibilities. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone . It could've been resolved with respect and kind words.

I was fine with the busy atmosphere until the teens showed up for their free summer! You guys need to put a cap on ttimes of day they can lounge around and visit and hog machines so us people who actually work for a living and get off late can use the machines. I deleted my review of 5 stars and I'm now updating to 2 stars. The Hours are being updated to Monday not 24/7 Tuesday through Thursday 24/7 Saturday and Sunday 7 to 9. My concern is they've never shown a drop in membership only crowded days everyday. Struggling to find a machine Or equipment between the hours of 3 PM to 9 PM Every single day. So if they're the busiest they've ever been why are they cutting back hours. They also got rid of free pizza. I guess less is more after inflation.

Started coming here because it was closer to work. This gym is way too packed and always have to wait for equipment. The “crowd meter” on app is not accurate at all! I would plan my workouts and never would be able to complete them as planned. I found myself always having to alter my planned workouts and use what was available. People are not considerate about how long they are using equipment. Ended up canceling my membership only 2 weeks after due to spending most of my time waiting around. I have a busy schedule and felt like i was never getting a good workout because if this. My last day here I waited an exact hour for a simple cable machine which I didn’t even end up using because the individual was still using the machine past the hour. Better to pay more somewhere else. I have no complaints about the staff. They were friendly.

Got a membership in mid-October. Went in because a commercial said ten monthly membership fees with no sign up fees. Only to find out... after having membership for 3 months... an annual fee was charged that we were never told of. 40.00 per membership. And to cancel would be charged 60.00 per membership. We did get the upgrade of 25.00 per membership to use the massage chairs and water massage tables. Only to find out after a ten minute limit for each was mandatory.

Had a very bad experience with one of their team Leads. I do not remember his name, but that day he had glitter on the sides of his eyes. I went in to try and close my account. (While i waited i saw at least 4 people go in to close their account). The Lead kept accusing me of being condescending, which i wasn't. He'd get frustrated with me because i kept calling the agreement i signed a "contract" but they refer to it as a "commitment". I don't understand why he'd get so flustered over that when I'm not an employee there so obviously i wouldn't know the lingo. When i asked to speak to a supervisor her was very hesitant about it. He said the supervisor would tell me the same thing. He finally went to call s supervisor but never came back to let me know. I had to wait a good 30-45 mins for a supervisor to show up. She was very helpful and apologized for his behavior and even offered me a discount. Being treated that way doesn't make me want to keep my membership or make me want to continue going to this location. Hopefully his attitude changes towards his customers.

I love that people are getting healthy, but this gym is really full all the time. I love the designated rooms which focus on certain body parts (abs, hips, arms…) but I don’t like when people jump in line while I’m circuit training. I like the tanning booths and massage chairs too!

I have always loved Planet fitness, but this location is very crowded and the free program for high-school students doesn't help the situation. If they are going to allow high-school students to come for free during the summer months, they should have a time range that they can come in for free (like 10am-2pm). The high school students are coming in clusters of 3-5 and hovering over machines and "hanging" out with their friends. It's unacceptable. My friend switched his membership to Inshape and my bf and I will be doing the same because we cannot even get our workouts done due to the overcrowding.

Started back up the first day there not even 20 minutes a worker stopped me in the middle of my workout and demanded me to put my bag in the locker or in my car. I asked if I could at least finish my workout and they wanted me to do it at that moment. I didn't even have a lock with me and she suggested i buy one for 15 dollars or something over the counter. I haven't gone to pf in a while so I didn't know that I wasn't allowed to take a bag with me at the machines. I would have understood if I had my bag in the middle of the floor because someone could have walked and fell but my bag was with me beside me on the machine. Totally killed my workout mood.
