Waaaay too crowded. Most nights you can't use well over half the machines. Not to mention in the summer they give high school kids free admission so the crowding doubles. People just sit on one machine now with their phone for 20 minutes, because if you get off, someone will take it. I hope they're not still signing people up. The staff is nice though.

After 7 loyal years of working out at PF, for it reasonably price membership and gym locations. I was truly offended this morning while I was working out with my son. As I was doing DB shoulder press with my airpods on minding my business. One of the Associates approached us and informed us there were several complaints of (Grunting) from our area. I was confused by this and so was my son, not to mention the nice lady working out next to us as well. We informed her there was no grunting and the lady next to me even said we didn't grunt. I was so disturbed and offended. I could not finish my work out. I proceed to the front and inform the lady, I wanted to cancel my member ship. I politely asked for her name and she replied with "Y****" and that she was the assistant Manager. I let her know all I did was clear my throat while I was setting the weight down. She responded that she heard the noise and no there was no other complaints from any of the gym peers. This lady needs to go to some sort of Management course to be a more highly effective leader. May I suggest "7 habits". I thank PF for helping me along my journey in fitness but at this time it is better to move on to where I won't be judged so quickly. Yolanda, please work on your customer relation skills it really does go a long way making sure the customers are comfortable in coming to this RP location.

I've come to this club for 3 years, never had a single issue. On Friday, I checked in with a guy, real tall, in his 20s, lots of tats. He told me I had an outstanding balance that needed to be paid.

I told him I paid it very recently, and the app would reflect if I still owed. He repeated himself, I repeated myself. I suggested maybe their computer hasn't caught up with the app, etc. I repeated myself again and showed him my app. His response

Right in my face in a very aggressive tone. I said you're name calling? He said you're being a dick.

Now, that's the issue. Not my reaction after. I started with a suggestion regarding customer service, then he straight calls me a dick? So I called him a couple names and asked him to call me a dick outside. This was all at the front desk

I was in the parking lot trying to call corporate, and the Rohnert Park Police came. They told me I had to leave the parking lot and had no interest in what he said. I left.

I like this gym. Everyone else is very nice and non judgmental. I am a mom and haven’t had too much time to get back into the exercise regime until recently. I signed up for 24 hour fitness originally but didn’t feel like I fit the crowds there - many middle age and older men and some high school kids so I thought I would try planet fitness . I felt more at home and comfortable looking like an idiot while trying to figure out the weight machines. They have a great app that has video tutorials for each machine ( you can scan a QR code on the machine with your camera ). Also guided work outs for all levels. If you sign up for the $25 membership you also get free massage chairs and tanning booths and bed . Very worth the price !

I have been going to gyms for over 12 years now. I used to think Planet Fitness was a gym for people who weren’t “serious” about working out. Eventually, I got past that petty mindset and two years ago I decided to try out Planet Fitness in Petaluma. I loved the affordability and selection of equipment. Yes, there are no Olympic barbells (no bench presses, deadlift platforms, free standing squat racks). However, the amount of smith machines and diversity/amount in hammer strength equipment more than makeup for that.

I switched to Rohnert Park Planet Fitness in May 2023. I was disappointed initially at the poor layout of the facility. Within a few months, a large construction project began to practically redesign the whole facility.

After, the layout was so much more accommodating and there were even additional equipment pieces added - definitely more pieces than Petaluma, now. They have also started incorporating 24 hour operations during the weekdays. I have had friendly run-ins with the staff and they have always been helpful. I go at 5AM so it is a select group of people at the gym at that time. I am glad I have decided to patronize Planet Fitness in Rohnert Park. The value for your money is seriously incredible.

This place is really going downhill! The "construction" is taking forever, and they no longer have ear plugs to muffle the sound -- or if they do, the staff "can't find them". The WiFi also isn't working and they kept treating me like I'm the one doing something wrong. I know how to connect to WiFi, why don't you check the router?? Do these people WORK, or do they just stand around and talk to each other?

I tried to cancel my membership after having it for over a year and it kept charging me for a few more months. Every time I go in to fix it they keep trying to charge me more and more money, against what my contract says... never sign anything here. The customer service lady (short, with dark hair) who always seems to be there is SOUR and not helpful at all.

Also they pretty much only have machine weights, not too many free weights and 0 barbells other than Smith machines. I'd recommend literally any other gym honestly.

This is a 1 star for only one reason. I've talked with 4 people including the OWNER Cecilia, I Believe that's her name because I just called them and the woman on the phone said her name and noted that she's the owner.
Anyways, there's BLACK MOLD in the men's shower. All you gotta do is look up while you shower, or do your business. It's only in the shower room that I'm aware of. Could be in women's shower as well. Just look at the ceiling.
It's been almost two weeks since I've been at this specific location. Just for obvious reasons.
It's sad, I loved this location, the gym, the price, the people - until two weeks ago. But obviously they/including the owner don't care about the place. Quit worrying about the equipment, worry about the people's health.

Pretty sure I made this review already and I can’t find it anymore. So I’ll do this again:

Planet Fitness needs to update their process in ending memberships with them. During the beginning of Covid-19, they paused all charges to everyone’s accounts. However, they did not tell me they were going to start charging my card again after they opened back up. Due to Covid-19 I had to relocate as many others did. I now live in a location where there is no planet fitness anywhere near me. I called (after I saw I was being charged still), they said they could not refund me any of the money even though they can see that I have not checked in, in over 2 years. ALSO, if you want to cancel, you CANNOT do so on the phone. You have to in person. Mind you, I have to drive 2 hours out of town or mail them something. So regardless I have to spend more money just to end a membership with them. I think it’s time they get update with their ways. I used to be a huge advocate for planet fitness, but not anymore.

Never again...I travel for work so I have visited various planet fitness locations around the country.. This location by far is the worst location where can I first began I enter the gym every Pf location layout is different. So when you turn the corner to enter and exit the women's bathroom your almost near miss running into members because of the small and crowded club equipment set up at this location. You have staff monitoring you in the bathrooms etc making you feel uncomfortable . They have signs up all in female locker room to call the "manager" or "police" because I believe someone's belongs was stolen w/o a lock🔒. I understand the lgbt community have righs but I felt some kind uncomfortable way. Soon as I get out of a "Cold" I mean "Very Cold" shower the temperature Never was warm nor a fit temperature for public use. (No woman's changing room) . Then I see a "man" getting out the shower in the women's locker room starting to dress. I felt Sooo uncomfortable period!!😟.
The Whole Vibe was off in this place !! It was not a good vibe, atmosphere here period!! It was clean though that's it!

I like the atmosphere: mostly ordinary people trying to do something healthy, not pick up dates. BUT at any given time, about 25% of the members are not wearing masks (yes, I've counted), and the staff are instructed by "corporate" not to harass the guests, so they say nothing. Same goes for intimidation, hogging equipment, leaving free weights on the other side of the gym, etc., which I experience most days I'm there. It is remarkably affordable, though.
