I am very disappointed by their services actually i was there member but suddenly i went there for cancellations my membership so there was a guy he said he cancelled my membership it was the month of September and that time I asked to guy will you going to charge me for annual fee of the year he said no you are good to go but in the month of October i charged for the annual fees when I called to their gym they said you still have membership and I called them 3 4 times they still ignoing my problem and all time when i call they said you will get refund of your annual fees just talk to manager i also went there gym to talk to their manager that time she wasn’t there i said it’s ok but today i talked to their manager she didn’t pay attention to my problem and just said it she can’t do anything then why are you manager here if you can do anything i gave you my valuable money to you and you service and problem solving staff is not good it just not about 40$ it’s about how you deal with it when you waiting for weeks to get just this answer we can’t do anything what is this?

I just recently decided to get a gym membership here at this planet fitness for a few very important reasons...Reason #1. To stay onto of/ahead of Type 2 Diabetes..since It was just discovered 6 months ago, I've had a ridiculously hard time adjusting to starting a new lifestyle...Planet fitness is the perfect place to start my journey of learning how to take better care of myself in general..my physical health,mental health, and my consciousness/awareness of my old habits. Only lose one start because the location isn't the best. But overall this gym is good it's never super crowded and has plenty of machines and weights so there isn't a wait for them at all. The "vibe" is also good, lots of beginners and there isn't an intimidation factor. I'm very pleased with my membership so far

Straight up watched a roach walk around in a dust pile by the smith machine one night and all I could do was laugh. I've Been a janitor for 5 years, even at a gym once, and never in my life have I seen filth like this. I've been to this gym all hours of the day and night for 4 months now, and not once have I seen someone in there cleaning. It's full of mold, piss, and water puddles everywhere including the counters. The bathroom stall door in the mens room has been broken off for weeks now...so theres only just one stall with a door...? How nice. I will say I DO see the night crew cleaning the floors, stocking the cleaning towels/spray and ACTUALLY be at the desk as much as they can all while ACTUALLY CLEANING. Not sure what the daytime employees even do at this point. The white girl with the curly hair behind the counter is the only one with an attitude. The rest of the staff is pretty nice and chill whenever my girlfriend used the tanning beds. That was until we saw not 1...or 2...but 4 dead roaches just sitting on the floor as soon as we opened the door. Every inch of that room was filthy. We didn't even bother tanning, just downgraded our membership the next billing cycle lol. $25 a month for a location with no real amenities compared to most gyms AND it's nasty???? Might as well go to 24 hour fitness damn 🤣

June 21, 2025 @4:15pm Ive used the massaging chair in the past without re-scanning using my phone. Kayla front office staff was rude when I asked to use the massaging chair. She told me to scan in again. I ask if I could give her my phone number, she rudely intrupted me and repeated that I need to scan in again glaring at me. After I retrieve my phone on the gym floor from my partner. I scanned in and was told the massaging chair was not available but the hydro was, but there's a 5 min wait time. She did not have a name tag so I asked her for her first name she gave me her name and when I ask for her last name she mumbled something and turn away from me. I told her I'll wait for the hydro.
Kayla needs work on her customer service and attitude! I pay a monthly membership and should not be treated this way. She could have handled this better.

Had to cancel because of no hot water, the most basic amenity. Also, was told I have until the end of the billing cycle, but then got kicked out of the app. Yes, the app with the barcode to scan in.

I have been going to a different location for over a year now. I decided to try this place and see if there's anything new. If you just want to use the equipment and go home, then you're good. But for the sake of humanity, do not go into the men's locker/shower room. The stench only should make you turn around. It looks like a dumpster.

99% of people here, and all of the staff are fantastic. Seriously all of the staff are so nice and they always keep the place tidy, and are happy to help, which I don't see at all gyms.

That being said.... as great as it is, there's one problem guy that consistently is obnoxious and is becoming a danger to others. Today, he threw 15lb dumbbells that then hit a bench 6 feet away. he wears an orange poncho, mid 30s+ (anyone who goes here knows exactly who I'm talking about, hes here every day). He is there every day I am. Just now a female member went to the desk and had an employee talk to him. As soon as she left (the employee) he started yelling and throwing weights again. Grunting when you're really working hard is one thing, but this guy yells when doing light sets and isn't sweating or breathing heavy, he then THROWS weights, not just down to the ground, but feet away from him, yells loud enough you can hear him through your headphones, has had the employees set the lunk alarm off twice over the past two weeks that I've seen alone, and has had multiple staff and members tell him to knock it off. i shouldn't have to step in and say something, especially when it's a consistent problem that is going on nearly daily. I come to PF 5/6 days a week and 9/10 times I'm in I see him doing the same obnoxious, unacceptable behavior.

He's making people uncomfortable and staff can only do so much, especially the young women, and I certainly don't expect them to handle him because he makes female members uncomfortable and stares them down, hell it made me uncomfortable today the way he stared down the woman who went to the desk to complain. If it continues, people arent going to stay, and he's going to hurt someone. Throwing 15lb weights so that they hit others or their bench is unacceptable and management needs to kick him out and take his membership away. The fact he continued after the employee told him to stop is enough for me to know he won't stop.

Staff is great, but they shouldn't have to keep dealing with this guy, especially the young female staff members. He needs to leave if he can't control his behavior after at least 2 instances of employees talking to him telling him to stop, and multiple lunk alarms, as well as multiple members telling him to quiet down and be respectful. He knows what he's doing and continues to disrespect the equipment and other members, while making people uncomfortable both on the floor, and in the men's locker area. This is a known problem among regular members, and management must know. It's time he is told to stop for good, or have his membership revoked. Even in strongman gyms people don't behave like this.

very dark, dirty, looks like a grave. there is no ventilation, it is simply impossible to work out. but above the treadmills there is a fan that blows away and there is a huge chance of catching a cold. the parking lot is occupied by homeless people and suspicious elements, I did not feel safe.

Planet Fitness: the only gym where I’ve unintentionally cuddled more strangers than on public transit. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to do shoulder presses while someone else's sweat mist hits your elbow, this is the place.

Yes, it’s cramped—like, “I just made accidental eye contact with a guy doing glute bridges” cramped. But credit where it’s due: the equipment works, the vibe is judgment-free (unless you take the last elliptical), and it’s $20 a month, so you can’t really complain without sounding like a diva.

I don’t go here to feel luxurious—I go here to guilt myself into sweating for 60 minutes while avoiding the lunk alarm like it’s a game show buzzer. And for that, it delivers.

El día de hoy 27 de marzo a las 6:25 de la tarde fui victma de discriminación por un par de empleadas, en la mañana asistí al gimnasio y en la tarde decido llevar a mi invitado (mi hija) y la chica me obliga a quedarme en el gimnasio despues de registrar las entradas sino no dejaría entrar a mi hija entonces me quedo y decido ir a la silla de masajes.
Luego de ingresar el código de mi membresía en la silla llega un señor a decir que quería esa silla, le informo que la del lado esta disponible e insiste que quiere en la que yo estaba y va por la otra empleada y esta me obliga a pararme de la silla diciendo que el llego primero y que yo debía ir a recepción primero antes de usar las silla. No sabía que debía ir a recepción primero y eso lo entiendo, pero había otra silla disponible que el señor podía usar en ese momento. En fin me hizo parar de la silla y me saco como un perro y fue demasiado humillante.
Definitivamente no deben tener este tipo de personas en atención al cliente.

I saw Veget working at this location. I dapped him and we fused into Vegito and rizzed up the employees! We hit the griddy after hitting 230 on bench and the Employees were very skibidi and supportive about my experience. 10/10 would love to come with Vegeta again.

Love this gym. It’s affordable and clean. The black card benefits are worth it. The issue is the circuit is my favorite work out. I use the machine, steps, machine. The circuit goes in order 1, 2, 3 etc…. But people come sit on the machine and play on their phone for 10 -20 mins. The circuit is set up for you to finish in 30 minutes, but that is impossible. A few years ago I asked someone if they were done with the machine and she just started yelling me. No one from PF monitors this section and the sign is small so maybe people don’t know it’s a circuit. But it sucks that it is IMPOSSIBLE to finish the circuit here.

Note: I had already spoke to several workers at the front desk on numerous occasions before posting this review. So the Owners comment is not helpful.

So if you love the 30 minute circuit like I do, I would love to know if you know of another gym in which you can complete the circuit in 30 minutes rather than 90 minutes and people yelling at you.Thanks!

Inside... the place is clean. The staff is great. Machines always working. We go late at night usually because there are fewer people and more open machines. The night staff is great.
Outside... the area is a bad area. Sketchy people, garbage, and security car always parked in a different spot in the parking lot but there is never anyone in the vehicle or anywhere to be found outside the car. It's a very bad area, Stockton and Fruitridge. But it's close to home and the Inside and staff bring us back.

I come to this location Sunday through Friday. Prior to Anthony leaving I expressed to him my concern with seeing the roaches in multiple locations he had good customer service hate to see him leave. I addressed the situation again this morning ( being I came across two roaches while working out)with the young lady at the counter with the black PF shirt on she is light skin I believe she may be biracial and she spoke to me as if I was telling a lie stating they clean and they don’t see roaches. As if I’m going to just make this up. This location is really going down hill with the customer service. You all need pest control weekly for the roach issue. Just cleaning is not going to solve the problem. This is not sanitary. Looks clean but they are definitely crawling around. Don’t sit your bags down you might bring them home with you. Just saying.

I use this location only if I'm too tired to drive to the other Planet Fitness on Stockton Road. The bathrooms are always nasty at night. Apparently, the second shift never cleans the bathrooms.
And on the night shift, they start cleaning at about 4 AM so that the day guest we'll have a clean bathroom. But what about those of us that like to come at 12 or 1 AM in the morning? They've got 2 people, but apparently nobody wants to clean the bathroom until 4 or 5 AM.
This is the worst location but I will talk to management and see if it can be corrected the equipment there It's great but when you have to go to the bathroom and toilet paper and everything's on the ground, it is disgusting.. Also I the woman that works there at night. She is very rude. She doesn't speak to you. She doesn't say hello, have a great workout. Nothing if she doesn't wanna work there, then she should get another job. She clearly is not friendly and I don't expect to hold a conversation. But a hello, have a great workout. Would be nice just a acknowledgment..

I joined PF on Bradshaw after years of canceling due to this location on Mack Rd. The Mack rd location has plenty of exercise equipment but often times it was unplugged for cleaning. Also there is not enough weight lifting benches. Long wait times and sometimes don’t even get to lift weights due to the amount of people using it. Also the machines at Mack rd are dirty. Stick to the Bradshaw location.

"I joined Planet Fitness about five months ago and left after less than two months due to the dark and oppressive atmosphere. There are several reasons why I recommend Planet Fitness. The first is that the staff does a great job with keeping the facilities very clean.
Next there is always security in the parking areas that is very reassuring because it's hard to focus on fitness if you are worried about your property.
Finally I can always find available equipment and the other guests are really respectful.
Overall for the membership fees and excellent service I would recommend Planet Fitness to my family and friends.

Worse customer service I''ve ever receive at Planet Fitness in Mack Rd. She wont acknowledge me what so ever, nor even greet me! What kind of service is that to treat a Military Service member. Is this the type of people you want to hire Planet Fitness Management?

I brought my aunt here on Feb 11 (Sunday) at 430pm to try out the relaxation area as a paying guest and a Black Card Member myself, and she completely flat out said "NO!!!! Only black card member are allowed" while other Planet Fitness I've gone through within the Greater Sacramento Area 100% of them allowed and just turn on the machine for my Aunt! And this rude gym associate wont even acknowledge and turn on the machine for her while other Planet Fitness can.

I highly dont recommend this gym, if you want better customer service go to Crunch Fitness or Chuze Fitness! They treat you much better with respect and dignity.

Clean and well maintained. The tanning and extra amenities make it a good value that can’t really be beat. There doesn’t seem to be any wifi, even though it’s advertised, and it’s needed because the data signal inside the building is not great. Also, it’s weird to me that there are only mirrors in front of the weight equipment. I really like to have a mirror when I’m working out, especially in the stretching area. Mirrors help to keep balance and check your posture. Also there is literally nothing else to look at except a big purple wall or another member stretching, so it’s even more awkward with no mirrors.

Hydro massage, why haven’t we met before?? Clean, well maintained gym, lots of equipment to use/try. Massage chairs, hydro massage, core trainer are a good bonus. The crowds are the only negative. Go early in the AM or late.. don’t rely on the crowd meter it isn’t as accurate as it should be.

Awesome place, but do some research on how to cancel Planet Fitness before you sign up. (Hint: it seems they do their best to make it impossible.) If you're ready to sign up for life then it's a good gym. I was sadly disappointed to learn of the dark side of their operations. They have an 'F' rating from the Better Business Bureau. The gym is clean & there are plenty of machines. The staff are helpful & nice. However the 30 minute workout area always has people in there just sitting on the machines & not using the area for the intended purpose. This is a bit frustrating when trying to do a quick workout.

Edited to add, and add a couple stars... I want to give a HUGE shout out to Noelle at the Country Club location. Not only did she go above and beyond to fix the issues I was having at the Mack location, she saved me money while doing it. She's an MVP and I'm staying with this gym because of her. Give that girl a raise.

You get what you pay for, friends. Customer service is mediocre at best, no one knows what the other person is doing and front desk takes zero initiative in their jobs. I'll be canceling my membership and going to California Family Fitness instead. At least they have classes and a pool!

I was charged an extra 10$ fee that went towards my annual fee. That would of been fine except it came with no warning. Which is pretty unprofessional in my opinion.

No management most of the members are low class. Shouting, laughing loudly and mess the stuff. You will see people using one pair of dumbbells but keeping other dumbbells with themselves uselessly. you can not have any dumbbells anytime because some people neither use the the gym stuff by themselves, nor let others use it

I do not feel safe coming to this location, the safety of my car and my person. The amount of homeless people using this shopping center as an encampment is really sad. I have mentioned my concerns to management but they say it’s out of their hands.

New treadmills are very uncomfortable from the front and side rails and they’re not accurate at all, it either burns 2 calories in 4 seconds or 2 calories in 20 seconds, petition to bring back treadmills like the ones before please.

Heather, the manager, is always cleaning and leading by example. Natalie is also doing a great job with upkeeping the cleanliness. The parking is always good and easy to find. Equipment is in good shape. Black card spa is always open and available for members.

Planet fitness gets 5 stars for the cost but the overall experience is because of some of the clientele whim dont respect the rules of the club:
1) sitting on machines playing with their phones and not really caring to much about other people on a schedule.
2) people who come by and ask you how much longer on that machine...I dont play with my phone in between sets.
3) There are specific area for FastTrack exercise people who need to get in get out and the employees do nothing to alert or let those who just hang out in these areas to NOT do that.
4) people who don't wipe down the machines they were just on.
5) And some people who just sit around on machines and socialize.
6) At this location a few of te machines have been slightly or marginally broken and not repaired

This is pretty typical of all gyms I ve ever been to.and this is meant as feedback to those who operate this establishment.
