Clean facility with decent AC and friendly staff. I was last here several months ago and they've really tidied the place up. The lockers and bathrooms are cleaner and they've added more and better machines, including a proper double cable machine. This is also the only PF in the county I've seen with actual barbels and genuine power racks, as opposed to the Smith machines every other location has.

Attention from employees was excellent in the front desk, the work out machines on good conditions and place very clean. The showers was awesome and hot water. My fist day is was and amazing experience, and the cherry and the top was the Hydro Massage. Congratulations Planet Fitness.

I cancelled my Black Card membership on the 18th and was told I'd still have my membership for 30 days given I was just charged on the 17th. I called an hour ago and asked for the manager who told me this, was put on hold for more than 11 minutes, and had to call back just to be told that he was not there AND that because I canceled, regardless of it being BC, I would only be allowed to visit that location for the 30 days.

This place reeks of miscommunication and dirty community showers. Their showers never get scrubbed! If you walk into them, you will certainly be met with someone else's pub!c hair on the shower walls, and they will be there beyond 5-6 days. The lockers themselves don't work half the time, so it defeats the purpose of having the self locks installed into the locker door if the mechanism fails 7/10 times. Easily fixable, but management will not address it. This on top of other issues I've put up with make this one of the worst gyms in all of San Diego.

This isn't my regular gym but I loved the layout. The gentleman at the front desk was personable, polite, and helpful. The gym was clean. The showers were clean; super important. It has the hydromassage bed and the massage chair. I'll definitely come back.

Very clean, great air conditioning, large ceiling fans causing proper air circulation, no foul odor, and plenty of new and functioning equipment. There are also very useful perks for black card members. Last but not least, manager is always welcoming and attentive.

Overall, this is a nice gym — it’s clean, well-maintained, and has a good variety of equipment. The only downside is that there seems to be an outside trainer (not employed by Planet Fitness) bringing in multiple clients. They often take up several machines at once, leave belongings scattered around, and monopolize different areas, which makes it difficult for other members to work out comfortably.

I been a member since 2018 and never have I NEVER had an issue at this gym. This has always been my primary location but on 7/21/25 I had a bad experience from a female employee that I did not appreciate at all. I went to the gym between 3pm-5pm while I was working out I had my small gym bag next to me but the employee suggested for me to have it in the inside of the machine where the weights are which I complied. But when I got to the pull down machine there was no placement to put my small gym bag so instead I placed my bag 2 inches away from my feet. The same employee approached me and told me I had to leave after I was done with my set. Stating “I had already told you about your bag”… which I was confused about because my bag was not in anyone’s way. After I was done with my set I approached the front desk and she proceeded to say that she had warned me multiple times when clearly she only told me once. And followed with suggesting to change my workout routine. Which I found disrespectful because she doesn’t know my situation to make those suggestions and continued stating that I have the option to also take multiple trips into the locker room to change my equipment. This employee was clearly young and appears to not have enough customer service training. So instead I left quietly and respectfully to not bother anyone’s workout.

The gym is great! But the parking needs work. We parked in what looked like a spot since all the cars are parked lined up. Our car was towed, if your car is towed. Go immediately pick it up at! Don’t wait, the towing company charges $230 per hour and $100 after hours (after 5)

I really appreciate that every time I come to this gym (4-5 times per week) someone on staff is always cleaning or finishing up cleaning. Staff is always friendly, eager to help, and paying attention. Other gym patrons keep to themselves which is nice.

Nastiest showers I’ve ever had the unfortunate displeasure of using. They looked as bad as the photos in the other reviews. Took a gamble that maybe the owner addressed the issue given the other negative reviews but sadly that wasn’t the case.

I find the club clean and well-stocked with machines and plenty of treadmills. Such a bargain for the monthly price compared to the 3 times more expensive competition. I never have had to wait for a machine or treadmill even during peak hours of weekdays from 5 to 8pm.

This location was nasty. Absolutely gross. The red light and tanning booths both hadn't been wiped down at all. The gal at the front had an attitude and said it's the customers job to wipe them down. It's not. It's yours. People go into these things barefoot. You do NOT allow one person to go in there and then leave it as is for th next. That's how disease is spread. It's beyond gross and I'm beyond disgusted. I just payed an extra $39 this month, on top of my regular gym membership fee, for the upkeep of equipment. What a RIP OFF!!!!! Not to mention, the hours here in CA all suck. Even Bend, OR has a CLEAN gym and is back to 24 hrs weeks. I'm so disappointed. Do better. I hate leaving nasty reviews, but this is the final straw for me. There is a law to make sure that places like this are kept clean to keep the public safe. I only get 2 min to get ready to get into the red light/tan booth. Those 2 min have been used up CLEANING your equipment. Not cool. Also, there's no trash cans in any of these rooms. The dirty paper towels go on the floor...? Today I actually thought about canceling and switching gyms. So lame...I wish I could leave a much nicer review, because the one guy was super nice when I first came in.

I have been to many other PF locations and this one has by far the worst looking locker room/shower experience of any that I have visited so far. I have had better in many other 3rd world countries. super nice staff with very polite and courteous gym members. nobody ignores their cardio and diet. everyone goes hard and lifts heavy yet still maintains proper form and full range of motion. i think there is only one guy who only guy does triceps push downs and slams the weights after every set so everyone knows he’s there 😆🏋🏼‍♂️
if i were to score this gym against every gym in the country i would say 8.7? 8.9 maybe.
there is room to park a tractor trailer and get a shower lift some weights and eat some tacos 🌮

I've been working with the military for years in the middle east and have been trying to get my membership cancelled with no success. This is a wonderful gym, typical of what we have found for Planet Fitness. The Equipment is clean and well maintained: The locker rooms are very clean with these cool lockers with combo locks so you don't have to bring your own lock: the staff is extremely attentive and right there to answer whatever issue you have: Chloe, the manager, really cares about her gym and that the customers are happy.

I left off one star because I have noticed people working out on two machines at once or doing a barbell while leaving their stuff on a machine and taking up two things at once and also people spending extended time between sets on their phone. I know these things are hard to police and for the most part the folks in the gym are courteous and wonderful. I do wish these customers who are taking up two machines could be reined in, but overall the gym is just the best.....really like it. It is difficult for us customers to go to the desk and "tattle" on folks doing things against the rules, but I am not sure how you would clamp down on this....perhaps posting more signs?

I just finished a road trip from Portland, OR down to San Diego. During that trip, I stopped at five PF locations (not including the three I frequented in Portland), so I speak with some authority when I say that the locker rooms at this location are the filthiest in the country.

The showers were disgusting (I thought I would get a staff infection just looking at them), there was crusty grime on the sink faucets, all the lockers were dusty and dirty with some containing left behind socks and underwear, plus many had broken locks. Apart from some dirty medicine balls and shoddy mats, the front was clean, and everything appeared operational, including the water fountain which was sparkling-- but that doesn't make up for the reprehensible state of the locker rooms.

And I don't want to hear the classist b/s of "you get what you pay for." Just because this membership is at a lower price point, does not give whoever manages and operates these locations the right to let the facilities go to filth. People with lower spending limits have just as much right to physical health and well being as people with country club memberships. If something isn't done about the Euclid and University locations, I'll cancel my membership, encourage others to do so, and to not join these clubs.

Came here for a shower planet fitness pulls out of my account every month $26 and they denied me entry saying my home club shows past due balance but I don’t have a past due balance. Clean GYM, awesome staff. My main complaint is the row machines and machine upkeep. They have not been serviced in over 2 Years. Staff has been told and even they seem dissapointed they cant do anything themselves. They have one technician for 12 locations but even by their math this should have been at least looked at. I’ve been working out here for a year and honestly this gym has most of what you need. The reduction in stars is the fact that in the mornings between the hours of 6am to 8am that the vents are pushing out cold air. It doesn’t make sense. It makes for a very unpleasant workout condition. I workout with a hoodie, along with half the gym and can never get warmed up enough. They need to turn up the heat and make it a comfortable temperature inside…I shouldn’t have to wear wool socks and still feel cold.
