Rude workers, the app said check in and pay later because they didn’t charge me which was there fault btw and a worker came up to me very rudely interrupting my workout saying I needed to pack up my stuff and leave. When I tried explaining that the app said pay later he kept escalating and said I leave now or I pay now. Since I didn’t have my card I decided to leave and he escorted me out so I waited for my friend to come out after me and the workers told me to go away even though I was outside. They could have been so much nicer about it but decided to escalate the situation and were very rude to me. Terrible staff most of them are very rude

It's a gym, but it's horrible.
There's plenty of equipment, but unless you come after midnight or get very lucky, you'll be waiting for someone to finish texting between sets.
It's the most crowded gym I've ever experienced (35 years).
That's a lot of texting, chatting and farting.
They do a decent job cleaning.
Memberships are cheap - hence the overcrowding.
No heavy weights and no Olympic barbells.
Smith machine is as close as you get, and good luck getting a turn.
Spend a little more, go elsewhere.
Update:
Usually gym crowding thins out as we move away from the holidays - not here! If anything, it's gotten worse. They simply sell too many memberships.

Best Planet Fitness Location in San Jose. Clean and showers. Theres always paper towels in the dispensers. The machines and equipment are all in great condition. The staff are awesome! My only wish is that it was open 24/7. Definitely one of the smaller locations but its okay.

No complaints as far as the gym itself goes. But I do have complaints when talking about the manager there. I've had so many problems when it comes to direct pay for my bill. I've had to change info on my account 2 times because of loosing bank card and company changing banks. Both times I notified the employee and we made the updates on the system. I pay for my membership and also my boyfriends membership. The billing dept, for whatever reason, screw it up and go to the old account, which is gone, and then say I haven't payed my bill and want the late fee also. The same happens on the boyfriends bill. Last week, the manager went off on my boyfriend about how his bill is always late and refuse him entry. Naturally, my boyfriend was very upset and in return, went off on her. She had no business talking to him about a bill she knows nothing about. I'm very upset that he can no longer go to pf, all because of the managers lack of professalism. She did not handle the situation like an adult or as someone with authority to take control and knows what the problem is with the bill. Bottom line, it's your billing dept with the problem. They can't seem to know what to do. I think the manager needs to apologize to my boyfriend and reinstate his membership and take a course on how to be a manager with emphasis on customer care.

This planet fitness is horrible. Staff Cant answer a simple question, the manager never there. I have payment issue with them and they never answer. Asking for manager work hour they said don’t know. They gave you a bogus number and bogus email and never answer that of cause. I got over charge fee 5 time and no result, end up cancel the account. Have been with pf for a long time because of headache free. Finally come to an end. They will create headaches for you.

This place is horrible. They got rid of 24/7 hours on Friday-Sunday, closing 7p on Saturday and Sunday when the gym is busy is ridiculous. I can understand closing at 10 or 11 but reducing your weekly hours by 34 hours per week meanwhile I pay the same rate is ridiculous.

On top of that they do not maintain their equipment and have SAFETY issues. This studio bike (see photos) I reported for MONTHS that the straps for the pedals were missing and no one did anything. Finally they put it out of service and it has been that way for 2 months now. When is it going to be fixed? No one knows. There are 2 studio bikes for this entire gym. This is NOT how you show your customers that their business is valued.

So far I really like this place. I was told there are no cancellation fees, and it’s one of the nicest and cheapest gyms I’ve been to or heard about. I found out they literally are all over the planet which is a really cool thing to me. I appreciate the massage chairs and they even have tanning beds if you’re into that. I would absolutely recommend this place. It is a comfortable environment and offers a lot for the price.

Been going to this Planet Fitness for a little over a year now and it's awesome. The staff are friendly and always say 'hello' and 'have a good night'. They recently got the new plate loaded equipment which is super nice. I can't comment on the locker rooms or showers since I never use them, but the main area of the gym is well kept. If there is ever a machine out of order it's repaired within a day or two. Only downside is it's not always 24 hours.

Nice location with a good variety of machines. Their black spa is decent compared to other locations but it gets the job done. It was somewhat busy on a weekday night. They’re open 24/7 on some days, so be sure to check their hours.

Some past reviews have mentioned the lack of towels and showers. If you’re looking for fresh towels, you’ll have to pay more at a higher-end gym like VillaSport or Lifetime Fitness. Planet Fitness is great if you’re just looking for a quick in-and-out workout, especially if you’re traveling. While I’ve never used the showers at any location, they should be functional, so the complaints about them are understandable.

Overall, PF isn’t fancy, but it offers a clean gym and great value for $10-25 a month. I like this location, as well as the one in Saratoga, and I’d definitely come back to both.

The Princeton Plaza Planet Fitness San Jose is privately owned. Although an 800 number takes your information you can only cancel thru each individual gym. There is no other way the app is useless. Email has gone unanswered.
Billing is a complete mess and the employees are ill equipped to handle issues. They simply refer you to the manager.
This particular gym has poor lighting (dark). The bathrooms are in need of renovation.
$15 a month you get what you pay for !!! NOT MUCH

Be Aware of their scam! I signed up months ago on line and t very next day I called and cancelled as I could not cancel it on line . But every month, they have managed to charge the fees even though I have blocked them on well Fargo banks. They use different company id number to get the charge through.
I finally called them as I was charged again today, and asked for a manager. First she said she is on another call then she said " you need to come down to cancel it. Then I asked for her name and she thought about her own name before she told me Lola . I think k she just made it up. She said she would make an exception and cancel it today but she can't give me my last fees reimbursed .
When you call the corporate. You get a recording saying every gym has a separate franchisee owner and that they will not issue any refunds . I have not even used this facility even once. I will be filing a better business Bureau complaint today but make sure I will contact all family members and friends and let them know to stay away from these con artists.

I use to go here all the time after work with friends and coworkers because we would all be off of work after 8pm and it was perfect. Now we can’t even go because most of the days they close before 9pm. All bad! I get you need to cut hours, so on the days that you have already changed why don’t you change the hours to be open until midnight? This location is on the smaller side but I am impressed with the cleanliness of the place especially the restroom where they actually spray and mopped the floor unlike other locations. This gym is awesome!! I left having had an extremely positive experience due to the kindness and hospitality of the employees Jasmine and Eddie. Because of their service I will be returning to this gym and will make it my primary gym when I move back to San Jose. They have gained a loyal gym member.

The gym itself is also very nice and has a decent variety of equipment, and is extremely clean. I cannot recommend this gym enough!

I've been working out at this for a few months and I love this one most compared to other locations I've been to. This one is cleaner, less crowded (it means the machines that I usually work out with are most of the time are available to use). It is also less noisy as well.

The staff are well-trained. They're friendly and always welcome customers to come in or say goodbye when they leave.

The machines here look cleaner and definitely newer than other locations. It takes me 5 minutes longer to get here but it's totally worth the trips.
Parking is abundant. No worries about parking at all.

It is a great place to work out, there's good variety of exercise equipment, good price ($10/mo). Great atmosphere, nothing fancy (unless you get the black card [$24/mo]), but a nice clean gym! They even have a 30 minute workout section when you're short on time. Nice staff too!

It is a smaller center based out of a strip mall and it is nowhere near as nice as PF In Milpitas.
but I don't blame them for that location is everything
my only real complaints about facility is that sometimes it gets very warm and musty in there like the air circulation system isn't adequate and my only other complaint is sometimes the young people running the place like to turn their music up to levels where I can still hear it blaring over my own headphones

I keep telling staff it's 70 degrees in here and too stuffy but they say they can't control the temperature. It's really hot and stuffy and makes it hard to work out while they just stand in one place so they obviously are not going to think it's hot. This PF which is located on Blossom Hill Road, in a strip mall is basically a store front with a bunch of exercise equipment crammed into it. Staff is present and somewhat courteous.
It's convenient to get place to get in a pre-work workout. Management does make an effort to keep the equipment on the floor tidy and mostly dust-free.

Do not waste your time or money here. The lack of customer service in this place is incredible. Seems like there’s no training for some of these teens, from the disrespectful verbiage to the giggles over the phone. I was wrongfully charged and address it, very difficult to correct(still pending refund). I went in to change the card on file, but of course that was not done. Nathan was very rude and childish, using “ psychotic” as a form to describe me. I used to really like going to PF when it just opened and was member for years before pandemic.

Just went back this month. 1. It's really crowded with teens. (They are running the free promotion which is great but not good for a small place). 2. Always 2-3 staffs behind the desk chatting without greeting anyone or really doing anything else (as other reviewers said:overflowing trash cans, no walk-around to check-up)

Miss the old PF. Doesn't feel friendly and inclusive as before. I was a black card member for years but probably won't be going anymore if staffs are like this.

This is a great gym. It’s always clean, and they maintain their equipment. I really like the “No Gymtimidation“ rules. Finally, a place where I can work out in peace without some gym bro telling me I’m “doing it all wrong” (even though they don’t know my fitness goals). I am absolutely flabbergasted at how unprofessional ego driven and rude the staff here is. I have seen them get into a number of verbal and colorful arguments. There whole team needs to be assessed or retrained. I felt discriminated against and picked on by staff not once but multiple times for my mask being a little past the nose while other patrons were doing the exact same thing. It is very ironic because they fail to have sanitary bathrooms, locker room area and fail refill sanitation stations regularly. this place is filthy and it also gets way too packed.
