Very well kept gym, with the exception of parking and the cardio units from Matrix. Now with high school program it gets super busy, and the high schoolers don't take care of the equipment nor have consideration towards people waiting. They spend more time chatting then getting the routine complete and moving on. Besides that, this is one of my favorite gyms to attend.This fitness center maintains a generally impressive level of cleanliness and upkeep. The equipment, aside from the cardio machines from a particular manufacturer (Matrix), is in excellent condition. Members appreciate the attention to detail in the facility's presentation. However, parking can be a challenge during peak hours. The recent addition of a high school program has noticeably increased gym traffic.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. One of the cleanest most professional Planet Fitness by far. It doesn’t get any better than this.. staff is nice and friendly and even the people that go to the gym are quite polite. They have three stalls as to where most planet fitness only have two and are always in use and it feels like you have to rush to do your business… not here very relaxed environment and parking is abundant… if you can’t find a spot up top don’t feel anxious leaving your car in the bottom underground parking lot. The plaza even has multiple elevators if one flight of stars is one too many for you… your car is safe and I’ve yet to come across hearing anything negative about the downstairs lot. This gym should be the standard of what all other planet fitness gyms should strive to be like.

I have been working out at this Planet Fitness for the past year and a half. I really like this location for the clean facilities and it doesn’t feel overly crowded. They offer free training services and it really has been helpful and made a difference. I worked out with trainer Kim for about a month and I’ve seen more gains in the past month than I did in the past 6 months working out by myself. I highly recommend this gym and will continue working out here.

I can't say enough good things about my personal trainer Kim at Planet Fitness Temple city, CA. From day one, she has been incredibly supportive, knowledgeable, and motivating. She takes the time to understand my goals and tailor every workout to push me in the right direction, while also making sure I’m doing everything with proper form to prevent injury. What really sets her apart is her ability to keep workouts fun and challenging, making each session something I genuinely look forward to. Whether it's strength training, cardio, or flexibility, she has helped me achieve more than I thought was possible. If you’re looking for a trainer who will truly invest in your progress, Kim is the person you want. The only downfall is I wish her hours were more flexible to meet my demanding schedule. We joined Planet Fitness in February. We received an orientation showing the facilities and the equipment. It was quite helpful. The gym is very clean and the staff is always walking around and cleaning the equipment. I took a class, led by Kim, and it was very personalized to my needs. Kim listened attentively and was very friendly. It's been very good so far.

This is one of the best planet fitness I've been too. It's the combination of the hard working staffs and the gym goers. The gym is very clean and the layout of it is nice.

The staffs are hard working and friendly. When the machines go down or the padding gets ripped they get quickly fixed or replaced. It's not like other places where the machines are down for days to weeks.

The guys bathrooms is clean as well as I can tell it gets maintained often. The only bad time is when someone is doing a really bad number 2 while someone is steaming up the bathroom due to taking a shower. That's when I wish there was real ventilation in there but I usually run out within a minute so I don't mind.

Honestly I go out of my way to go to this specific gym because the one next to my apartment is really dirty. The gym goers and the staff don't maintain it.

There are some people who just sit and use their phones for a long time but that's all gyms. It's just a human thing not a gym thing. Usually they get off after 10-15 minutes.

They have underground parking. Plenty of parking. Or you can just park on the side street where it's always empty. The outside parking is shared with other businesses so it's always going to be crowded.

I'm going to miss this gym a whole lot because I'm moving now but I'll definitely visit if I'm ever around the area and need to gym. Thank you to all the hard working staffs! God bless!

Three stars is what I first placed as my review but after talking with management they granted me a complimentary month of service and I was gifted with a cute little backpack for my gear. I am absolutely satisfied with the way I was treated and recommend that if you have any issues with the your visit, just let them know and they will correct the problem.

I've been to many Planet Fitness, and I can say that Temple City's Planet Fitness is the worst I've experienced. The staff are rude, pretending not to see you when you walk in, always acting busy among themselves. Additionally, equipment lacks maintenance and stays 'out of service' for extended periods. I waited for Chuze to open so I could switch from this club. I'm very happy with that decision and would never go back to Planet Fitness, especially not the one in Temple City.

No fault of the establishment but the folks there are practicing some kind of third world morality. All four lifting machines occupied by people sitting there reading their phones. You politely ask how many more sets, can you believe the answer: 20 minutes, 9 more sets, and 10 more sets. Only one answered one more set but next guy already waiting. Then they go right back to reading the phone. No body does 10 + set in weights you would tear up your muscle. I have been to many gyms, this one with this particular population is the only one with no sense of American community at all. I happen to know where those standards come from. Some members of society don’t need to read ayn rand to justify caring only about number 1.
I have been going to your center for over a month. This equipment hogging has already developed into a culture there.

Would like to ask question. I m a single club member at PF alhambra. Just read they posted on the wall that tomorrow wednesday 31st May they are going to be closed until 7PM for some renovation or something and listed PF temple city on the poster. Does it mean we can use temple city PF for tomorrow morning?

I went to pf temple city this morning around 9am and to compare with alhambra one: pf temple city is much cleaner. All the members are much more tidy. And best of all, nobody was wasting time occupying any single machine or bench like some in pf alhambra. I can say the members here are more respectful. And i do believe that building good gym culture is also part of club team efforts. And i can see team pf temple city are so diligent in continous cleaning. FOUR THUMBS UP. Keep it up you guys!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Planet Fitness today. The general manager assistant failed to address my problem effectively. While I understand and respect the gym's policies and guidelines, but as a customer, I did not feel any assistance from him.

Here is the background:
My girlfriend is the owner of a black card membership, and I am her bring-in guest. Unfortunately, due to medical concerns, she had to travel outside the US for six months. According to the gym's policy, if she is unable to attend, I am not allowed to use the facilities. However, I have continued to pay $25 per month without being able to utilize the gym myself.

My request was simple:
How could we resolve this situation? The general manager assistant, Tony, repeatedly suggested that I cancel the existing membership and apply for a new one in my own name. This was the only solution he offered. However, taking this route would require me to repay the membership fee of $49, as well as a cancellation fee of $58, while my girlfriend's previous membership fee of $49 would essentially go to waste.

I was highly dissatisfied with this proposed course of action, but the general manager assistant failed to provide any alternative solutions or attempt to reassure me. Despite I inquiried about other possible options, he remained silent and ignored me, seemingly intent on canceling my membership quickly and closing my case.

In the end, I had no choice but to cancel my girlfriend's membership (Otherwise, I cannot use gym but also have to pay $25 monthly until 2024, why??), paying a cancellation fee of $58. However, upon researching online after the fact, I discovered that Planet Fitness actually offers the ability to freeze or pause memberships under certain circumstances (for up to 12 months) – a fact that the general manager DIDN'T bring up this possible solution during our conversation. Instead, his sole suggestion was to cancel the existing membership.

Essentially, this is the story of how I felt disrespected and unsupported by the general manager. As a customer, when faced with issues, all I expect is assistance and viable solutions. Even if a satisfactory resolution cannot be achieved, feeling supported by the team would have made a significant difference. By ruining this relationship, Planet Fitness stands to LOSE not only my business but also potential referrals from my friends. "Customer Comes First" should be the foremost philosophy of a successful company, but unfortunately, I did not experience it here.

To conclude, I do not mean to insult Planet Fitness, but I strongly believe that the general manager assistant, Tony, needs to undergo proper training on how to work with customers professionally.

They deceptively charge fees! I cancelled my membership but they still charged me an annual fee for a year I won’t even be using because they said I had to cancel before they even billed me. Then the assistant manager told me tough luck they wouldn’t refund me. There are not enough weights or machines. They let high school kids in for free during summer so all the machines get crowded with kids hanging out to get away from their parents. Things are out of order constantly. They have annoying marketing and alarms go off if someone drops a weight to try and embarrass you. Go to a real gym, you will get so much more for your time and money.

The temperature of the gym has been a consistent problem. At times during the day, even when it’s not that busy, the temp is so warm that it’s almost not worth working out due to the discomfort.

If you raise the problem to the staff, they give you a look like they know it’s a problem, but the ownership won’t let them do anything about it. Disappointed that the ownership doesn’t empower their team to address member concerns.

I'm disabled, and their shower was great! Only thing- I didn't know how it turned on, and thought it was out of order without a sign. I had never encountered a shower like this one (pull top knob out, then bottom to turn on, then top to switch between regular shower to hose shower.) Once I figured it out, it was very useful. It's the cleanest gym shower I've used. I travel and have used many 24hr fitness, rec centers, and planet fitness. I don't know if it's always so clean, but definitely my #1 for clean this time. The staff at any planet fitness are kind, to me anyway. I personally enjoyed the music too.

Great gym!. This has better reviews than all the Gold's gyms in the area and for good reason. The gym is well maintained. All the machines are in great working condition. And the point of entry is inexpensive for regular people that are barely getting into fitness. The app is really good. It tells you on a gauge the amount of people in that location at that time. You can add your workouts to add your progress into it. Honestly PF made all there competitors reassess the way they did business, starting with the price!. And that's a good thing!. PF is the way all gyms should run, in the new digital age.

The facility overall looks clean. Staff is polite. It was a little warm in there but the Black Card area and locker room was fresh and cool. I chose this place because of the hydrobed massagers. I was VERY disappointed to learn that even with the black card membership I still had to get up and re-check in every 5 minutes. The water didn’t even get heated or flowing much in that time. The massage chairs were the same deal. I mean, I understand if it’s busy but when there is literally no one in there and there are 4 chairs, the time should be adjusted at least to 15 minutes or so. As far as the regular massage chairs, at least at the mall I can pay for the amount of time I need. Five minutes is just nothing.
I wanted to cancel my membership 15 minutes after signing up because of this. I hope this changes.
