The gym is beautiful, BUT THE RESTROOMS & SHOWERS ARE DISGUSTING. They need to hire full time cleaners and not expect high school kids to do it. There is mold in the showers, they look like they haven’t been cleaned in months. There is toilet tissue spread across the entire floor and literal poop stains spread everywhere. The floor hasn’t been mopped either. I expected WAY more from this location. This does not represent our community. I am highly disappointed.

I visited Planet Fitness at around 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 14. I was excited to go to this gym because it is generally cleaner than the other gym to which I belong.

I was met with surprise! Here's what I saw and why I am giving them this score.

The exercise area was clean and well-kept. The two gentlemen to which I interacted with were nice.

The ladies' locker room was deplorable. I was informed that a recent issue is due to the lack of women available in the evening to clean the restrooms. On this day, the restrooms had not been touched since 5:00 p.m. When joining PF, I was told that the bathrooms are checked every 20 minutes.

The bathroom stalls were reminiscent of a gas station bathroom. There was smeared poop in a bathroom stall. One stall, looked like a toilet paper bird's nest was being built inside the trash receptacle and was so full that it was getting ready to explode onto the floor. The other stall looked as though someone had contemplating doing artwork with the bum bonnets aka toilet seat covers. The handicapped stall had little pieces of toilet paper all over it. I told the one and only worker about the poop. He said he couldn't clean it up because there were more than 15 people working out and he was working alone. He told me it would have to wait until 3 a.m. to be addressed!

The bathroom also smelled of sewage and/or poop. Many stalls were without toilet paper. The front desk attendant said he could fill those quickly.

PF may not be a "judgement free zone," but people are going to start judging the facility!

This branch has a policy not to let the guests use the massage chairs as opposed to several other branches that I visited in palms springs and san diego. When asked why, the staff on the front desk mentioned that it is the owner’s policy.

Kat at the front desk is very professional and charismatic! I decided to join the gym because she took her time and showed me all the equipment as well as giving me a tour of the spa! She made signing up at the gym effortless!
The gym is never to crowded and the equipment is very clean!

The 5 stars is for Jamar, the amazing coach! I take classes with him 3 days a week and he goes ABOVE and beyond. He keeps me motivated and does way more than he should for free classes. 👏🏻

The one thing that drives me bonkers but don’t want to give less stars is the a/c hasn’t worked in the side rooms where all the classes are for a long time and it gets WAY TOO HOT. Like unbearable. Summer is coming and I really hope that’s repaired. 🥵

If you can’t stand hip hop and rap music you won’t like this gym. It’s loud, constant and can’t be drowned out with headphones. I addressed my concerns with the front desk and with corporate on three different occasions, telling them that their music was overpowering and a style in which half the people working in there that are in their 50s and up do not like. I asked that they put in a better mix and that was ignored. There is a kiosk. I’ve plugged in songs, but they never come up. It’s possible that the music that they are playing is To accommodate the young employees or the younger members without regard to their older members. It would’ve been fine to have a mix of rap, hip-hop, pop, rock ‘n’ roll, etc., but it’s 100% aggravating pounding loud music out of step with rockers like me, so I canceled my membership. I. loved the location, newer equipment, the massage chair And affordable price. But unfortunately, that’s not enough for me to continue because of the aforementioned issue. I will say too that the lockers are very small so they don’t really fit the average gym bag. Additionally, the showers little cut out shelf they have are too small ,And there is nothing available to hang either a towel or your travel bag with the things needed for showering. They could also improve on communication As they did not adequately, respond to my requests in person or online.

No animosity I’m just describing my experience and I hope that they will make some adjustments so that they will Succeed here in Westlake Village.

Great new gym. Very spacious. Has all the equipment needed to have a good workout. Lots of smith machines,treadmills, and open space for free weights. Does however get busy between the 5-8 gym rush hour. 24 hours is nice sometimes I come late and there are still people on the grind. If you come around or after 5pm you do see a lot of kids but a fair amount of adults too.

Was actually pleasantly surprised at how great this gym is. The atmosphere is a little getaway. Amazing amenities of massage chairs, red light and tanning. The gym is always clean but a great design. Every single employee I have encountered are so welcoming , great attitude and genuine. Always very helpful! I have recommending this gym to other locals . They honestly had no idea. I would like to make shout out to Adrian! So sweet and very helpful! Also to Lucy and Jamar. I have been going to gym, large and small, nearly all over Texas and California. By far my favorite!

I signed up for this location before it opened. It's a very safe, clean area. Not as big as some other planet fitness locations but if you are a no frills member they have all the essential equipment. Even during the busy hours it isn't as crowded as Oxnard or Sherman Oaks. Trader Joe's within walking distance for some grocery shopping is super convenient.

If a Planet Fitness rep is reading this, it would be amazing if you could install 2 to 4 slow electric vehicle chargers. Doesn't have to be free, maybe even $1 per hour of parking. this would definitely make a difference for some busy people, and make a membership here more "sticky".

Great club, staff and location. Have been a member of PF for 4 years and soon after this club opened I made it my home club. It is a clean well lit place to work out and relax. Of the 7 different PF clubs I have visited this is the BEST.

I’m amazed that owners took action by keeping the gym spotless and clean right after my initial review that wasn’t too positive about the hygiene of the gym. Thank you for your continuous dedication. I must say when I initially posted a review I didn’t think anyone would care but I’ve been back 2/3 times a week eversince and I see people cleaning time after time. I went to try out this gym to see if I wanted to join. I signed up for a day pass online that they refused to honor because the owner "didn't want to." After asking what other options I had to try it out before joining, the only option was to pay $10 for a one time visit (when membership is $15 a month). I asked for the contact information for the GM or owner and they refused to provide it. If you don't want to honor a day pass, it should not be an option to sign up for one online. Terrible customer service and only one employee in the whole place.
