Shower Problems

In this gym it is for more than a month mens locker room shower area is under repairs, out of four shower slots only two are active, the other two are taped for more than a month, one of them is the handicap shower slot, men after exercise come and wait in line at busy hours, to take shower. I raised and shared this issue with the management of this facility and asked him pass my concerns regarding this problem to the owner and the planet fitness management, even after my complaint regarding to this matter nothing have been changed. I hope the management of planet fitness after seeing this review will step in to solve the problem.
Today October 21 2025, I have been in this gym the handicap stall is still taped off, it is more than two months they did not fix this shower stall in this gym.
This is one of the worst PF in the Orange county.
Today November 2nd 2025 I did visit this gym, in the shower area handicap shower stall is still taped off. It is very obvious not only the owner of this facility does not care about handicap members, the planet fitness management does not care about handicap members, otherwise they would suggest the owner of this gym to fix the handicap shower area, because this gym is in violation of the handicap members rights.
Today Wednesday November 26, 2025 I was at this gym the handicap shower 🚿 lot is still taped off. The owner of this gym does not care about disability act law. City of Tustin needs to get involved to force the code. This gym is obviously in big violation, disrespecting disabled people.

What kind of gym is that if you have to buy a locker lock that can be easily stolen by someone else? In the whole world I’ve never seen this kind of policy in the locker room and I think that they just wanna make more money selling it right in the locker room. The gym is nice, but the max weight of the dumbbells is 75, which is quite small.

This gym gets hot. They have no ventilation, the machines don’t have fans like they do at other Planet Fitness gyms, and they don’t have the big ceiling fans like they do at the others. There’s nowhere to fill your water bottle either. It has a modern feel to it but lacks some of the basic features other gyms have. Visiting out of town and been to 2 other ones in Orange County and this one was definitely the best one. The staff were attentive and always available in the front when needing assistance. I went in the afternoon on multiple trips and it wasn’t bad when it came to equipment availability. The bathroom and locker rooms were clean. Keep up the good work

I’m extremely disappointed and outraged by what I experienced today at Planet Fitness. I’ve been using the Rockbot music system during my workouts and regularly play Japanese songs by a few specific artists I love. Today, I discovered that 2–3 of these Japanese artists have suddenly been banned or removed from the system — without warning or explanation.

I searched for many other artists from different backgrounds and found them still available, which leads me to believe this was not a technical issue, but a deliberate and targeted action. To me, this feels like a clear act of racial discrimination.

This is unacceptable. As a paying member, I expect equal treatment and respect regardless of my cultural background or musical preferences. Planet Fitness promotes itself as a “Judgement Free Zone,” but this act directly contradicts that claim.

Let me be clear: removing access to specific music because it’s in Japanese — while leaving everything else intact — is not just offensive, it’s discriminatory. If this was done intentionally, it’s racist.

Unless this is immediately addressed and corrected, I will not only cancel my membership but also actively discourage others from joining a gym that tolerates or enables this kind of behavior. Shame on you.

The Planet Fitness in the district has a bit of a classy vibe. It's located in the middle of The District Shopping Area. It certainly makes you feel good compared to the Planet Fitness facilities located in 7/11 strip centers. The five-star rating doesn't end at the front door. It's super clean and a complete gym facility.

Last Friday, I had my iPhone and wallet stolen from the locker room at Planet Fitness in Tustin. This isn't the first time my locker has been broken into, but I didn't lose anything last time, so I didn't take it seriously. I know I'm not the only one who had such a bad experience there. It's infuriating that they (from managers to employees) haven't done anything to improve the security there, and I'm canceling my membership.

Make things very difficult to cancel. Called them to cancel since I’m moving away. They said I can’t do that on phone or email, have to mail it over. When I mailed it over, of course it passed their cutoff time and they charged another month even I told them I already moved out. Since July till October 30th 2024 no budget to fix and clean??? I've been to just about all the PF in OC , and a few in LA & IE.
One thing they ALL have in common, the showers are nasty. Shower heads broken, curtains ripping. Always puddles , very dangerous even with nonslip sandals on.

Another common thing, why do you need 3 or 4 associates sitting g up in front, there should be a roving team making sure the showers are atleast safe.

Cleaning wouldn't be hard either, most close at 10/11pm, bring a high pressure wash with disinfectant cleaner once a week and light them up with it. Buy curtains and replacement rings for them in bulk and store them to replace as needed.

If you are a serious guy who must take a shower after every exercise, please avoid this place. There are four shower cubicles in this place (one of which is broken and has not been repaired for a long time). This is actually not important. The important thing is that the bathroom here is full of "homeless people". Every day, a large number of "homeless people" come to take a shower. I have to wrap myself in a towel and wait for them to finish their showers.

This is a great facility to work out. I would come in early in the morning, before work and it would be always be bright and welcoming, with neutral music playing. I recently experienced a deeply concerning incident at Planet Fitness Tustin where I encountered discrimination based on my gender. As a woman, I was shocked and dismayed by the behavior exhibited by certain staff members. Manager Ben and staff Brendan.
They worked at the front desk. I faced dismissive attitudes and the discrimination.

I like this gym, except for a couple of things which have prompted me to not give a 5 star.
1) We need more lower weight (<25 lb) dumbbells. I've informed different staff at different times, however I'm not sure if it was conveyed to the owner or not. There's always a long wait during busy times, and most of the heavier ones are never used. The ones in the other stretching area are also in use.
2) One bitter incident: Few days back, I went to the gym and had started my workout. A staff member comes and says 'Did you check in? You just walked in'. I was pretty sure I had checked in, but he insisted that I hadn't. So he asked me for my name (in front of other members), and left. I didn't appreciate the tone accusing me of just "walking in" - like $10/month is too expensive? The reality was that the employee wasn't doing his job properly, and didn't see me check in. Later, I checked in the app and it showed the check in history. It clearly showed that I had checked in few mins before. I went back to show him the history, but I never found him. There's a lot of staff turnover at this location.

If you like broken equipment, long wait times, and dirty bathrooms this is the perfect place for you.

A lot of equipment are left broken or in poor condition for weeks at a time. One of the four showers has been out of service for at least the past month. Shower soap dispensers are always empty or nonfunctional at the end of the day. There are not enough weight training equipment leading to very long wait times especially at peak hours. However, the worst thing are the “influencers” filming their workout while hogging the equipment.

Was looking for a gym nearby and tried here. The day pass was an easy process and there was no sell pressure or anything and the staff was super friendly.

The next day I got the back card membership mostly for the guest pass feature which is a great deal.

I go during the day and never have an issue with getting machines and it’s not too crowded which is important to me. All machines are well kept. I clean before and after using machines (as with any gym you will see people not wipe down after use so I just do it before and after). The staff also go around cleaning frequently it seems.

Machines all work and I really like the vibe in the gym. Which is perfect for me. Cardio machines all have TVs which is cool and I turn on closed caption while using and listening to my music.

They have massage chairs and tanning booths. I’m not sure I’ll use tanning but the massage chairs for sure. And the front desk guy helped explained how I use and where to sign up.

The lockers are nice and clean and showers looked good. Saw no issues. I rarely shower at gyms (prefer to go home) but when I need to go somewhere right after gym I like having showers. They even have a little room for changing if you need more privacy.

I wish they had a water bottle refill station, so be sure to fill up before you arrive. They do have water fountains.

Overall I chose this gym as it’s clean and all worked and staff was beyond friendly and no pressure vibe. The location is also great. Plenty of parking (although I bike, and there are bike lock poles by Ra Sushi below). I go to this plaza a lot for movies so now can workout and eat and movies all in one place.

This location is very clean, the place is huge with lots of machines for all kinds of workouts, with modern equipment too. I've been going here for about a year now and haven't had any issues. the staff does a really good job at keeping the equipment and common areas spotless. Honestly, you can't get better than this for the price. Great place, great location, highly recommend it

Management has improved lately. But still el cheapo style gym. Tiny mirrors. Cramped cables area -- too few cables. Some nice staff.

Not really a gym that motivates athletic people. Most people who go here say: "Who me doing cardio with my 35%+ body fat? No way, I'd prefer 20 slow sets of triceps exercises with 5 pound dumbells right in front of this mirror! I don't want to get too tired to eat a ton of Doritos and Little Debbie after this!" Or they say: "So what if I've gained 35%+ body fat, my leotard mom bought me when I was 12 years old is still good to go for the gym! Also it makes me look so hot!"

This is preposterous!! The shower has been clogged for days. It developed such a nasty smell, to the point where it’s making me throw up. The whole locker room smells nasty. It’s like a sewer!! What is the management doing??! No one to address this in days. Very disappointing.

worst experience with them and their membership. i went to cancel and the assistant manager never told me about the $58 buy out fee and told me to just sign. i then asked her what it was and she said she would reverse the transaction but never did. poor customer on their end.

It is really clean and the machines are open most of the time. There should be more smith machines or actual bars but it is worth what you pay for. And the bathrooms and lockers are really clean.

I really love this gym! The staff are always friendly and helpful, the gym is really clean and everyone there just wants to do their work out and not bother anyone! It's a really comfortable place for someone just starting to work out.

I didn’t use it for half a year and asked to delete my account and close the contract. I think that they are doing a dirty business, forcing customers to come or write rejection letters, complicating the procedure and thereby ruining their reputation. Extortionate policy, nothing will be returned.
