I really enjoy this location and will easily give it a 5-star rating. Unfortunately, I'm giving it two stars because the restrooms are so filthy. For the last couple of months, they have not been cleaned. The floors are extremely dirty, and the surrounding toilet floor is covered with piss. The showers are also dirty. Management needs to step up.

Update: Staff have stepped up and have been cleaning constantly. I'm sure it has to do with the new hire, an older lady who works the AM shift. She's constantly cleaning and maintaining the gym, and I want to thank her for that.

LOVE the new upgrade!!! It’s feeling like a real gym now and I love the layout. The ONLY thing this location is missing is mirrors in the new squat rack area as well as the new abs and stretching area. Not for selfies, but for checking proper form. Everything else is great!

I love this gym, but the new layout is terrible. I understand the desire to add more weightlifting equipment and stair climbers, but it’s now so crowded that the machines are packed tightly together like sardines. The machines used to be spaced out nicely, but now they’re so close that I can almost touch the person on the treadmill, elliptical, or stair climber next to me.

Says “judgment free zone” and then hires the rudest people. Had called the customer service they said to call the club to receive the refund when i was charged for a new month when i had cancelled before the charge was posted? Had talked to the manager and had the worst experience he was extremely rude and disrespectful. Would not recommend this club or the planet fitness as a whole. The customer service people are kinder but even still i feel the processes in which they follow are not reasonable and honestly they just want to take your money.

After years of going to this gym and at different locations, a female staff at the Upland location was upset that I had asked to use the massage chair. She rolled her eyes as she had to take her eyes off her phone. I apologized for bothering her and she lost it. I have not been back since that day (about 6 months ago). After I emailed corporate, the manager of the Upland location reached out to me. I cancelled my membership with him, and yet I have been charged every month to date. I changed bank cards and I am getting emails regarding the late fees. It's pretty unfortunate, because that was my safe Haven.

I caught the trainer (Erin) at this gym vaping on the clock. That is a health code violation and vaping on the clock if i’m not mistaken is illegal to do in the state of california. This gym is slowly falling apart, I want erin to get fired for her actions. Vaping is not legal and is unsanitary

Recently came back and found out they decided to go without keeping the circuit room to be used for just that. Anyone can now use the equipment for as long as they want. So why keep the green/red lights up? I called San Dimas and they still have their circuit area going and their ratings are better so I'll be doing my workouts at that location.

Horrible experience with this location. I pay for my son to have the Black membership where he can take a friend with when he comes, he has had this membership for over a year. I went with him one time before and it worked fine and today we were refused entry because we didn’t have a drivers license with a photo ID to enter. Who wants to carry all their stuff with them to go to the gym? To me this seems like a ploy to keep under privileged and lower economic status people from using the gym if they are friends with a Black Card member. People who might not be able to afford a driver’s license. Shame on this location for being elitist and non welcoming to all people, such a shame that this behavior would happen in this day and age. Classism should play no part in a gym or in society. This gym should get with the times and have a picture for the member one time and be good and not harass potential future members who are going with the paid member. This is absolute garbage, why would a guest need photo ID to workout with a paying member. This place doesn’t care about their members supposed benefits, it’s ill maintained, bad hours, and a front desk staff that behaves like members are an inconvenience. Do yourself a favor and go to a better gym that doesn’t require you to present a passport, drivers license, DNA sample to just workout in the facility that you pay to go to. This is ridiculous, we will be looking for a new gym for my son going forward.

People were great other Jim members were great, but I had a problem with when I saw a video of women telling a man and the woman locker. This location is really going down hill! The bathroom soap dispensers are always flashing that they need refills. You tell the Staff, there is a damaged machine and they ignore you. Lockers are left with the locks on in the locker rooms way past the 24 hours. The signs on them stay there for weeks at a time. The outside landscaping is horrible and needs attention desperately.

Had to update send drop from 5 stars to 2. 1 for change in hours, reduced the hours so inconvenient inconvenient for handful of people that would go middle of night. 2 for reduced hours you would think some improvements. The filter on water machine has been red stating new filter for over a week, if they can't afford it just remove it all together. Staff is all kind and friendly and are great so they personally get 5 stars, but I'm sure employees hours cut when they probably need the money in this economy and no longer have advantage over other gyms that open at same time but some open longer.

This is an update on the gym for September 13th, 2023.. these guys are not keeping up with maintenance at all. The water fountain has been on red for a month now and is giving warm water out. The curl machines' teeth for the chair our completely eaten up, and even with annual dues paid it's still the same and gets worse.. fix the issue because I'll be reporting this planet fitness soon for taking yearly fees and not maintaining the gym properly

I really enjoy this gym over others, whom I respectfully wont mention. The PF equipment seems newer than some of the competition's. Their cardio equipment is abundant and seems to overall operate better. The staff have always been pleasant whenever I've had to interact with them, and the cleanliness is impressive. I usually always see somebody cleaning unused equipment each morning. I love the spaciousness of the gym and always enjoy working out here. My only wish was that they had earlier opening hours during the week and the weekend for the early birds like myself who work mornings throughout the week. Other than that, I have no complaints!

As a loyal member of Planet Fitness, I have had my fair share of frustrations when it comes to the lack of a secure area for bicycle storage. It's disappointing to see that over the years, the gym has not taken the necessary measures to ensure the safety of its members' bicycles and e-bikes.

One of the major drawbacks is the location of the bicycle rack, which is placed in a blind spot where Planet Fitness associates are unable to effectively monitor or perceive any potential theft. It is positioned below a high stair level, making it a prime target for thieves who can easily operate discreetly.

What exacerbates the situation is the repeated incidents of theft that have occurred in the past. It is disheartening to know that despite a considerable number of property losses, Planet Fitness does not take responsibility for these incidents. This lack of accountability reflects poorly on their commitment to the well-being and security of their members and staff.

Furthermore, the fact that thieves have been able to break locks and chains using high industrial pliers points to a serious flaw in the gym's security measures. This puts not only member's property at risk but also raises concerns about personal safety within the premises.

It is high time for Planet Fitness to prioritize the implementation of a designated secure area with proper surveillance equipment to effectively deter potential thefts. This would provide peace of mind for fitness enthusiasts who rely on bicycles or e-bikes as their primary mode of transportation to the gym.

In addition, Planet Fitness has shown a lack of responsiveness when it comes to addressing legitimate concerns about stolen bicycles. Despite numerous incidents of theft over the years, the management seems to brush off the issue and disclaim any responsibility or liability. There have been instances when members have reported the theft of their bicycles, but the staff merely shrugged it off, stating that they cannot be held responsible for any lost property.

This kind of attitude towards member security is deeply concerning. As a fitness center that prides itself on providing a safe and comfortable environment, it is disheartening to see the management wash their hands off any responsibility when it comes to protecting members' personal belongings.

It is evident that Planet Fitness needs to step up its game in terms of securing a designated area for bicycles and e-bikes. Installing proper surveillance equipment in strategic locations would significantly deter potential thieves and provide reassurance to members that their property is being safeguarded. Moreover, having a secure and stable area, perhaps closer to the entrance or within the view of staff, would ensure that the bicycle racks are not a blind spot, making it easier for associates to monitor and prevent theft.

It is crucial for Planet Fitness to recognize the importance of member safety and take proactive steps to address this issue. By investing in adequate security measures and being responsive to concerns raised by members, they can create a more secure environment and restore trust among their clientele. Uplifting, home away from home! Planet fitness is a must have for me. It's affordable and I noticed they care to maintain the equipment. If anything is down, it will be fixed asap. I never had a gym membership before because of the commitment issue with contracts. I joined because I had nothing to fret without having to worry that I may not be a gym 'person & locked into a contract! Turns out, I love working out and I will keep coming back! I'm a full time traveler and I'm in the area for 3 weeks. Since I don't like to workout at the Hilton I decided to try out this gym.
So far the staff is friendly and helpful.
The gym very clean.

The CONS :
They changed the hours to opening time 5 AM except Saturday and Sunday they open at 7 AM.
As me, there were other people at the door during the week at 4.45 am because some people go workout at 4.
It is hard to find the weights I need because the gym gets crowded especially between 5 am and 7 am.
They have aqua beds, massage chair and tanning. I believe with new BULBS 💡 which is better than many other planet fitness I have been :)
The time is pretty much the only thing I dislike

I haven't been to the gym in quite some time now and decided to go tonight. When I arrived, the doors were locked but noticed people were working out. I called the gym and the women that answered said they were closed. I was told they have new hours. I told her I still had roughly 20 minutes before closing but she said, "no one really works out this close to closing so I lock the doors to clean up." I know I wouldn't have gotten much of a workout, but who is she to make that decision for me? Maybe I wanted to jog for 10/15 min. All I know is she wouldn't open the door and told me to speak to the manager named Moses on Monday. I know I only pay 10 bucks monthly but I have to leave out of principle. Along with my wife and 3 kids.
