Solid Planet Fitness location. It’s clean, and there is a good selection of equipment to use. Occasionally, some of the equipment is out of service but it’s usually not for too long. It can get quite busy at peak times, which makes it challenging to finish your workout in a timely manner, but it’s to be expected if going at those times. Overall, this is a good PF location.

The staff is always rude and snobby. Came on a Sunday as a black card member with my guest. The blonde girl, every question was a snobby reply. Other staff has been rude and snobby too. Like chill out, you work at PF. Didn’t want to allow a 1 time simple accommodation for my guest to use a massage chair for 10 minutes. This location needs to raise their standards in cleanliness, gym equipment, and better management of location.
Gym needs newer equipment, machines are ripped with huge holes, machines are constantly breaking, they also need new cable attach ments , the paper towels are not always stocked , women restroom is not always clean unless a certain worker is working,

I came in ready to work out, but was told I couldn’t use the gym because my home club was still set to a different city—even though I have an active Planet Fitness membership. The rep told me I’d need to go back to my old club just to change it, which I later found out isn’t true. You can transfer clubs or cancel online. No real effort was made to help me or offer a solution, especially when I was clearly there and ready to use the gym. I hope the staff gets better training on how to assist members.

4 years ago I decided to get a membership here. WORST MISTAKE EVER. I had to unexpectedly take an emergency trip to Texas due to a family emergency, the last thing on my mind was a membership for a gym. Once in Texas I called after seeing a charge to my account and tried to cancel. They told me I needed to come in person or write a letter. They lack compassion, empathy, and any sort of help. Once I got back to Cali, I had completely forgot about the membership until today when my dad asked me to go to the Tulare location with him as a guest, I did the guest pass and everything. He was so excited until we got to the front desk and the lady said “you have a unpaid balance that has to be paid first” 6 people later the best they can do was only have me pay 45, FOR A MEMBERSHIP THAT I HAVENT USED IN YEARSS!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous. DO NOT USE THIS GYM!!! ONCE YOU SIGN UP THEY LOCK YOU IN AND MAKE IT TO DAMN HARD TO CANCLE!!!! Literally you are better off at any other gym.

Disappointing Experience with Planet Fitness Policy

I have been a member of Planet Fitness for a year and have always appreciated the convenience of the Black Card benefits, which allow me to bring guests. However, I had a frustrating experience recently that completely soured my opinion of the gym.

I brought my husband and brother-in-law as guests, expecting the usual flexibility that I’ve always enjoyed. I’ve frequently brought multiple guests in the past without issue, but on this visit, I was suddenly told by the front desk staff that I could only bring one guest per day. This was incredibly frustrating, especially because I was never informed of this policy.

I tried to resolve the situation by asking if my brother-in-law could at least stay and work out since he was already there, but I was told no. This situation was not only inconvenient but embarrassing for my brother-in-law, who had no idea this policy existed. It completely ruined the experience for him and felt unfair, considering it was allowed on previous visits without issue.

I’ve been loyal to Planet Fitness, but this experience has left a bad taste. Clearer communication about policies like this is essential, and I truly hope they can address this inconsistency in the future.

This is a great beginner friendly gym! Very affordability priced even for their black card, which would open a lot of opportunities if you're moving around often. If not, their basic plan works well. The only downside is that it gets packed often during the afternoons, and I don't think their apps crowd meeter accurately displays the number of people in the gym. It is also relatively common to find machines that could be in better working order. This is a great gym for most people!

The only reason I give it 4 stars is because I feel like it needs an expansion like a dance studio for stretching or yoga. If it gets busy which given it's summer then expected volume of people is normal. The amount of space you are able to have is limited. When it gets congested and we're talking max, I'd say 8 spots for an individual person to have enough space for themselves. Overall the entire facility has plenty of equipment to offer. Amazing relaxation center if you upgrade to the Black Card membership and locker rooms with showers available for after or before your exercise! Also plenty of treadmills and other equipment for cardio.

The gym has faulty equipment. Most treadmills at this location is slower than the actual speed it’s representing. Try 6.2mph across all treadmills and you will see a big variance of speed. Wish I was joking.

The staff is not knowledgeable about transfers to other gyms. I recently moved they required for me to come during when management is there. Saying it’s impossible if I am only awake during the nights. The same goes for any transactions. Nothing can be done over phone, but no worries they can take all of your banking information through the internet.

The place is highly populated as this is the only planet fitness gym in Visalia, parking is limited.

I’ve been a member of Planet Fitness for roughly 5 years now. When I first came to this location the gym was great. Since the “remodel”, all of the machines are either missing, broken, or ripped. Planet fitness charges an annual fee that goes towards repairs in the gym, but I’m not sure if this location uses that fee to actually maintenance their machines. Not sure if that’s due to management or because of the company.

Travelers beware! The worse planet fitness I've ever experienced. More than half their machines have caution tape around them... No hot water. They're showers have black mold and rust on the shower curtains. They don't clean bathrooms; they're definition of "cleaning" is just walking into bathrooms spraying so much febrezze you'll have to leave the room for an hour. The employees will also make you get up from a machine you've been waiting for to "clean it"....Their parking lot is also small, and no overnight parking available. On a cross country road trip and we stopped in to this planet fitness to use the bathroom and brush our teeth before we crashed for the night. My partner is a black card member and I am their guest, they scanned their card and we walked in. While I was in the bathroom my partner asked if this planet fitness allows over night parking, some do and some don’t. The girl behind the counter said yes then took back what she said. That’s fine no big deal. We have one tube of tooth paste so when I’m done with brushing my teeth I walk out to my partner and hand them the tooth paste. He hands me the keys and I start walking out to the truck. On my way out I get stopped by the same girl who my partner asked if they allow overnight parking. She asks “do you even have a membership”. I explain how I’m a guest my partners in the bathroom and he’s a black card member, so I don’t have the QR code. I said I’ll text him to scan on the way out and I’m gonna head to the truck it’s 1am. She wouldn’t allow me to leave, she looked in the checked in log and he wasn’t there (even though he had checked in) then she asked for his name and phone number and apparently both were not showing up in the system. I said again I’ll have him scan when he’s done in the bathroom. At this point I felt judged for using the service that we pay for then getting accused that we don’t pay for that service. She was trying to make small talk with me while waiting for my partner to show his QR code. He finally comes out and scans and she allows us to leave. Like I said we are going cross country and have stopped in many planet fitness’s to shower use the bathroom, etc and not one that we have stopped at has gave us this much trouble. This planet fitness is not a judgment free zone!

Planet Fitness has a variety of good workout equipment. I have noticed though that machines take a long time to get fixed. One thing I don't like is the PF meter that's on the app, as it seems to be very inaccurate. The meter never shows more than 2 bars, yet when there are 2 bars, the gym is usually packed. I like PF, it's a good gym for the price, just a few minor fixes would make it great!

I may not get there as often as I'd like to workout but when I do it's nothing short of amazing. The perks that come with a black card membership are definitely worth it... And if you have any aches and pains, definitely go black card and utilize that HydroMassage 😍

So I'm not sure if this location closes earlier then others but online it says open 24 hours one of the reasons i go their. Yesturday I went after work which I get out late to get a workout in. Then was told by employee that they will be closing at 2am.
