Hire a professional cleaning company to come in every night. Your employees obviously don’t like to do it nor should they have to risk staff infections to keep a job. The reason I’m writing this, I personally come to the gym to take a shower due to my living situation so I come here twice a day sometimes I use a different shower but for the last week I happen to use the same shower The first shower stall in the women’s restroom, there has been the same clump of black hair in both corners for the last week. Proving to me that these showers do not get as cleaned as they should be, nor as often as they should be, which is really unfortunate as you know, we are completely vulnerable in the showers Naked, I don’t need to be risking staff infection as well so please hire a professional painting company that wants to do the job and gets paid well to do it and ensure that the showers are clean and there’s no mold growing and every single square inch. I am going out of town this week, so unfortunately, I won’t be able to take pictures with the dates like I should have been doing but when I come back, I will start to do that. Just to show how long messes stay here. I really wish there would be a Gym that actually cared about people.

Considering the location and how long PF has been around as well as $10, for basic cost you get your money worth. I have been a Black Card member since I started years ago and its worth it. I have traveled between SC and CA and stop at PF all over. This location is staffed well, great guys and gals to greet you. Bathrooms and showers clean even after all the people that uses it. Now into my 3 month journey of being a member here. It’s a great gym but as of recently I’ve noticed a few things that need improvement. The men’s bathroom usually never have soap in the dispensers. When using weights (dumbbells) sometimes they can be pretty filthy after someone has used them (body fluids). The lockers sometimes are left filthy as well after someone has used it, frequently finding dirt or debris and sometimes a bit smelly. Also when someone is using a locker with no lock they tweak the hole where the lock should be placed and then it’s damaged. Overall I just wanted to pinpoint these things for improvement but the staff are great and I’ve met some great people so can’t complain about that.

I have been a member at this planet fitness for over a year and a half now and it seems like every week there is a shower out of order, no hot water, or no running water at all. There is also a latch on one of the changing stall doors in the men's room that hasn't been fixed in what seems like a year. Also the soap dispensers in the men's room often don't have soap in them or are not working .

If the owner can't afford to put in a new water heater or fix the issues with the plumbing, he/she should get out of the gym business.

The staff is always friendly and apologetic about the issues, and they should be commended for putting on a brave face and having to deal with what is probably a constant stream of upset paying customers.

The owner also does not have an email address that is available to address issues with their gym. I'm not sure how useful giving out the corporate number is going to be other than shooing people away.

3 stars should be 2 stars. Used to be 24 hours, what happened? That's not my biggest gripe. I only use the showers and lockers. They do the best they can to maintain the facility. From what I understand each location is privately owned. I think this owner needs to consider replacing the water heater. The showers have gone cold in the men's room on more than one occasion. I need to maintain my daily hygiene like everyone else who goes to work and if I can't shower with hot water, I'm not going to wait for you guys to patch another leak. Replace the heater or I'm changing my home base.

Hello 👋 I just wanted to post a review let sharing my experience with Planet Fitness. I’ve been a customer Planet Fitness for about two years and my home group is in Oceanside. I’ve had the membership for about a year and a half, and since I had started doing outdoor running, I had downgraded to the $10 a month which is totally fine. However, When I went to visit this current Vista location Upon arrival immediately, I was harassed when checking in saying that they would have to deny me entry or access because I didn’t have the $35 a month. Here’s my problem with this statement, Instead of greeting us with open arms and letting us know our options we were immediately rejected and asked to leave. The fundamental issue with this is that I am a paying member and I was with another planet fitness membership who did have the 35$ and can bring guests and gladly I would have upgraded and continued on with my workout. It would’ve been a win-win for everybody my membership would’ve been upgraded even can visit different locations.. The front desk was extremely rude. She was extremely unhelpful Immediately trying to deny the access, not even giving me options to upgrade or even allowing me to go with the other member who paid his full dues and can have a guest. This made me feel discriminated and treated badly. She was about 53 Black hair and did not smile one time. I’m extremely disappointed and will be switching to 24 hour fitness. To everyone else who has planet fitness the staff or horrible here do not go stare at you while you’re working out and pretty much just look for problems. People get a gym membership typically are trying to go to a safe place.. I’m gonna give this one star and they won’t be my business anymore and everyone that I know will be hearing about this. Thanks for the horrible experience and please train your staff.

This was my go-to gym when I worked out late at night. With the new hour changes I can no longer do that. Very frustrating and will no longer go to this club. 1 star because what started as a nice, clean, 24hr gym has increasingly restricted their hours over time. About 1 ish yr ago, the gym changed their opening hours to 6am on wknds which kept me from workout on wknds due to my work schedule. Now, they’re changing their opening hours to 5am on week days which also interferes with my ability work out before work during the week. Healthcare workers, work early mornings, all days of the week and it’s a shame that we’ve been excluded from this gym.

I recently had an unfortunate experience at Vista, California Planet Fitness, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment. It's worth noting that my review is based on the specific location I visited, so experiences may vary.

First and foremost, I was disappointed to learn that Planet Fitness Vista, Ca is no longer a 24-hour gym. This was one of the main reasons I initially joined, as the flexibility of being able to work out at any time was a huge selling point. The reduced operating hours have inconvenienced me and limited my ability to exercise when it best suits my schedule.

Another issue I encountered was the strictness of the staff regarding the use of massage beds. Despite there being vacant beds, the employees prohibited me from using them. I believe that if the beds are unoccupied, they should be available for use by members. It's frustrating to see resources go to waste while eager members are denied access.

Furthermore, I was denied service when I arrived at the gym merely half an hour before closing time. While I understand the desire to close on time, it's disheartening to be turned away when there's still a significant amount of time left for a workout. This policy seems unnecessarily rigid and fails to prioritize the needs of paying members.

The lack of hot water in the women's showers was another disappointing aspect of my visit. It's basic hygiene and comfort to provide hot water for showers, especially in a gym setting where people work up a sweat. I hope the management addresses this issue promptly, as it severely impacts the overall experience.

Lastly, I found the staff at this particular location to be ill-suited for a gym environment. Their lack of knowledge and indifference towards member concerns was evident. A gym should have employees who are knowledgeable, supportive, and enthusiastic about fitness, which was not the case here. It's essential to have a team that fosters a positive and encouraging atmosphere for members.

In conclusion, my recent experience at Planet Fitness Vista, California has left me disappointed. The elimination of 24-hour access, the denial of massage bed usage, refusal of service before closing time, lack of hot water in the women's showers, and underqualified staff have collectively tarnished my perception of the gym. It is my hope that these issues are addressed promptly by the management to improve the overall member experience.

This is one of my favorite locations because of the layout in the locker room. I Love how there's a little changing space with it's own curtain before you get to the curtain for the shower. All stalls should be designed that way it's perfect! There's another in Escondido that is laid out like that maybe the same owner but I love going there for that reason alone.

Unfortunately, Planet Fitness does not offer a pool or jacuzzi. For that reason alone, I would not see a motivation to work out there. Most people who join the gym like to have the option to swim or jacuzzi/spa after workout. They offer HydroMassage or tanning if you upgrade the membership, but who cares about HydroMassage or tanning?

This is a great place to relax and enjoy your workout. It's usually very quiet and everybody gets along well. The staff is friendly and courteous and all amenities are present. They do not have a sauna here But it's a great community and Jim and it's well worth the money. Come here if you're local and sign up for all the benefits. Or if you don't want to it'll only be $10 a month. This is a great bargain and you can come here anytime to work out or wash up or take advantage of the Wi-Fi.

I have traveled all over the USA in the past year and used many locations in different cities. Since clubs are franchises, each one is a bit different in the quality of the service, equipment selection, and cleanliness. Loved the one Manhattan New York. Surprisingly, it was not overcrowded with a friendly atmosphere. Most locations have a good service, but showers could use an upgrade or at least an addition of towel/clothing hooks.
I always enjoy Carlsbad location, friendly staff, and clean showers.

The workers are very rude ! I asked for help with the massage chair and the workers were talking but when I came to ask for help they seemed very a annoyed and did not acknowledge me. Also, they said that "this location" does not allow guests to use the amenities like the massager etc. The other locations do but just not this one even though they have it but guests can't try it out. Today I held up a bandanna over my face and was told that tomorrow I would need a mask to enter and leave 20’ each way. It is 10’ door to desk, 10’ desk to elliptical. The manager talking about me dropped the F bomb. When I left a gentleman said have a nice day. No problem. Within minutes I received an email of membership cancellation. No one talked to me, there was no conversation, no discussion, no disagreements. Tomorrow I will be sending my demand letter preceding a small claims case for improper membership termination. The mask mandate if that is their reason I have paperwork showing it is not from the Governor and not enforceable by law.not sure of this is the problem or not as no said a word to me. I spoke with 2 Sheriffs today and they wore no masks. I never “got to come back tomorrow with a mask”. The manager definitely fails to represent Planet Fitness in a professional manor, especially in these already trying times.

This is a big immaculate space with fantastically maintained machines that are clean and tidy. Lots of machines, great staff and people in the gym. Fully stocked with plenty of cleaning products for users to clean the machines before and after use.

Only had one heavy battle rope and resistance bands with handles. The Oceanside and Carlsbad locations have the regular resistance bands (green, purple, black, and red). Asked if I could go to my car to get my own, they said yes. I also brought in my ab wheel and they said no. I have no complaints. Planet Fitness is always great. Lots of cardio machines, at this time every other one is closed due to covid but there are plenty of options. Machines and free weights are also plenty with 3 benches available. Staff is always pleasant. Bathrooms are clean. I have the black card so I have the ability to use the extra amenities which I love. They have 2 massage chairs, 2 hydro beds and I believe there are 3 tanning beds which are level 3 with a 9 minute max. Also 3 (maybe 2) total body enhancement machines. I also have the ability to bring a friend, download the app and you can add them right on your app, send them an invite they follow the directions on there and your all ready to go. Once you get to the gym all you do is scan the app and your done, they make things so easy. I think for the extra price for me it's way worth it. If you don't care for the extras it's only $10 a month, can't beat that.
