I was going to PF in Huntington Park because it's the one closest to my job. However, that gym is super small and always super packed. So, I decided to switch to PF in Whittier since it is close to my workplace. For the most part, I really like this gym because it is big, it has a lot of machines and most of the time it is easy to get to use mostly all the machines as it does not get super packed. It would really be nice if people would clean their machines/equipment after they are done using them. Sadly, not everyone uses common sense. Come on people!! The next person does not want to sit in the sweat you just left behind. It would also be nice if the bathrooms were checked more often. Many of the times I have gone to the gym and used the restroom there are seat covers stuck to the toilet, stains, toilet paper on the floor, etc. Most of the staff members are outgoing.

The cleanliness in this gym is seriously lacking. The bathrooms are always dirty, with a bad smell and not enough toilet paper or soap. The showers seem to be poorly maintained, and overall hygiene is terrible.

Additionally, the equipment is neglected, covered in dust and sweat because no one cleans it regularly. Several machines are in bad shape, squeaking or with loose parts, making workouts uncomfortable and even dangerous.

I wouldn’t recommend this place at all until they improve their cleaning and equipment maintenance.

Meet Tesh, 3 weeks ago he had a stroke in the gym. Sarah immediately began notifications and rendering aid.

I had a deeply frustrating and upsetting experience at the Planet Fitness in Santa Fe Springs, and I believe I was unfairly treated, possibly due to discrimination.

The incident began when I was interrupted in the middle of my shower by a female staff member, who told me I had to stop so she could clean the showers. I explained that I was on a tight schedule for work, but I complied, left the shower, and waited nearby for her to finish. Afterward, I resumed and finished my shower.

When I exited, I greeted the staff and wished them a nice day, only to be told that my membership was being revoked. When I asked why, I was told it was because I wasn't "happy with the amenities" and was no longer welcome at this location. Instead, they suggested I use the Norwalk location, which is completely inconvenient for me--but they're happy to accept my money for the Norwalk location, which is just crazy.

What makes this worse is that I suspect I may have been singled out because I drive an RV. I've noticed I was one of the only people in this location using an RV, and now that I've been banned, there's no RV in the lot anymore. If this was a factor in their decision, it's outright discrimination.

I believe I did nothing wrong--I simply voiced my concerns about a female staff member entering the men's locker room while I was using the shower. For this, I've been silenced, ignored, and had my membership revoked. My attempts to resolve this issue through calls have gone unanswered.

This experience has left me feeling alienated and disrespected as a paying member. I urge Planet Fitness to address these discriminatory practices and treat all members fairly, regardless of their vehicle type or personal circumstances. I remind Planet Fitness team members to review their mission statement as stated below;
Planet Fitness' vision is to create a welcoming environment where anyone can be comfortable and supported on their fitness journey. Their goal is to make fitness accessible and affordable to people of all fitness levels.

Best customer care and customer experience I have seen in a long time, the staff is friendly and they are truly a judge free zone, I am definitely going back after I am allowed by my Dr, the prices are amazing and the equipment is good, love the app it tells me when the best time to go it by showing how busy it is. I recommend this place for hard workouts and for a quick out of the office break workouts.

It has gotten better I would say after the new year. Staff needs improvement. Housekeeping gotten better. I do like the fact that they added more equipment utilizing the empty spaces that no one used. I would like to hopefully see an upcoming Sauna. And remove those tanning booths that are 95% empty all the time. They are just taking up space. That's just my suggestion. Over all it has gotten better.

One of the bigger nicer gyms. I would say only like a quarter of the employees are good the rest do nothing but just talk to each other. The other day all the paper towels were gone in just about every dispenser. Which is crazy when there was like 3-4 of them all talking at the counters. Also they either forget to turn the lights on or it’s not working but the last couple nights it’s pitch black in the parking lot. Honestly a little dangerous so I would be careful a car doesn’t hit you or your parked car.

I like that this gym is very clean, even the bathrooms and showers! All of the other gym guests are pleasant and do a good job of cleaning up and wiping equipment after use. It is also refreshing to have gym staff that actually say hello and bye consistently.
Update: as of 12/16/22 gym is still very clean. Locker rooms are also clean and attended to. Not too crowded. Visited today (Friday) at 2pm and wait times for machines were 10 minutes or less. However, most were available with no wait at all.

Planet Fitness understands what club members need and want in a gym experience. Staff is always courteous, friendly and eager to assist in any way. There are multiple sanitation stations and Staff is always sanitizing equipment to ensure the safety of its members. Bathrooms are always clean and fully stocked. The crowd meter is one of the best features, which allows members to determine if the gym is busier than usual. As a black card member, I adore the hydromassage table and the option of going to different clubs. I am able to track my activity in the gym which keeps me motivated towards my fitness goals. I appreciate that they have not increased membership fees especially during a time where numerous companies are passing the inflation down to the consumer. Planet Fitness is by far, the best gym on the planet and reaffirms why their name is Planet Fitness. Affordable. Numerous locations and open 24 hours. Best gym ever!!!

Let's not lie, the Black Card membership would be worth it if it was only for the Massage Chair and the Hydromassage; and that is how it usually goes down 😄. After a long day at work I go in with the intention of getting a good workout, but being quite tiring I end up getting my back, legs and neck hooked up from the incredible massage units. This has been my routine. Take advantage of all the services PF offers if you are a Black Card holder, it's worth it and you pay for it! Have a great workout 😎
