Ok gym, takes as little as a week to repair equipment. Curtains smell moldy. The gal that processed my cancelation had more tattoos than 21 Pilots and put "move" on the cancelation reason without asking. Oh, and they charged me monthly dues the day I canceled, even though all dues are paid ahead. Kinda scammy.

The gym was clean, as were the restrooms. The showers drained slower than they spewed out water but were nonetheless clean.

All the equipment I used was in good, working condition.

Staff were friendly and busy keeping the gym looking clean.

Overall, another good experience at one of many planet fitnesses I’ve been too.

Dear Planet Fitness Corporate Team,

I have been a loyal Black Card member for many years, as I frequently travel across the country for work as a consulting engineer and businessman. Unfortunately, my recent experience at the Woodland location with the store manager, Mary, has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

While on medical leave, I froze my account after being told by her staff that I could do so for six months. When I returned, I was surprised to find $200+ in fees due to miscommunication and lack of clarity from the staff. When I attempted to resolve the matter directly with Mary, I was treated with guilt and as if I were trying to break the rules, rather than as a long-standing member who had acted in good faith.

After negotiating a reduced bill, I even paid a month in advance since I was going to be out of the country. Yet, my account still showed as past due, with a late fee added because the pre-payment was not processed correctly. When I attempted to explain this and show that the accounting did not make sense, Mary insisted I had not paid and was dismissive of my explanation.

The most concerning part is that instead of working toward a resolution, Mary became increasingly upset and ultimately hung up on me after I told her I wanted to cancel my account—despite me having just paid $105. This behavior is unacceptable for any manager, let alone one representing a company that prides itself on customer service and accessibility.

I urge Planet Fitness corporate leadership to review this matter, audit the handling of my account, and provide feedback to ensure managers like Mary approach these situations with professionalism, empathy, and accountability. Members should never feel disrespected or dismissed, particularly when they are making every effort to comply with policies and resolve billing issues caused by staff miscommunication.

I respectfully request:
1. A review of my account history and billing to ensure all charges and late fees were valid.
2. Reimbursement or credit for any improper charges resulting from mismanagement.
3. Assurance that my cancellation request has been processed.
4. Appropriate feedback and training for management at the Woodland location to prevent similar experiences for other members.

I value the convenience and access that Planet Fitness provides across the country, but this experience has left me questioning the company’s commitment to fairness and respect for its members. I hope you will take this matter seriously and provide a fair resolution.

Courteous professional staff that makes you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in. Brand new equipment, nice clean showers with continuous hot water, locker room, and amenities clean and some of the best around. I would say this is one of the best out of planet fitnesses gyms. It’s my go-to spot for weekly de-stressing. I really appreciate how clean and well-kept the gym is. It makes a difference and shows they take pride in the space

I also feel safe in the environment. It’s family friendly and welcoming, and I’ve noticed that the people who come here are focused and respectful. It’s a great energy to be around, whether I’m lifting, stretching, or just clearing my head.

My wife and I have been coming to this gym since it first opened , cleanest gym in town .we love the equipment , front staff and Manager are exceptional ! Greeted every time we walk in the door .

Hi I was never expecting to join another corporate gym, but was working with a smalllll budget and this was a happy lil surprise. I’ve belonged to this woodland location since October, and it’s consistently impressed me.

1. This is the cleanest gym I’ve attended in CA - by a MILE. I think it’s a collective effort mostly on their staff, but also the attendees. Everyone respects the space (as far as I’ve seen!)

2. This staff is easily the nicest group I’ve encountered and it doesn’t matter who you get. Morning through the crazy 1am hours.

I have to publicly give the staff their flowers for being so welcoming and just simply NICE. It’s not common anymore to consistently receive service with a smile, genuine kindness, and attentive greeting/farewell. Whether you have earbuds in or not - we get goodbyes 90% of the time.
I expect some bad days because it takes a lot to deal with the general public, with that said… very well done to this crew. :)

Bonus points for the crowd who attends this location - I haven’t gotten a single weird creepy guy staring at me! So, with the non-creepy guys alone, this gym is worth it. On top of that, everyone is respectful of racking their weights which is a HUGE pet peeve of mine at gyms! I’ve only seen one situation of some buffoon leaving behind their heavy lil plates on the racks. I know it’s SO hard to unload them after lifting SO much, right? 🥲

Anyhoo, overall feels safe and welcoming to me! If you’re a lady looking for a gym to switch to that doesn’t have creeps? This is the oneeeee.

I’ve been going to this gym for about 11 months now and it was great at first, but recently it’s been very busy and unprofessional. The new hire ups are either all busy talking to each other or there is only one working by themselves. The old staff always greeted me and made me feel welcome. I have been coming to this gym for almost a year now . I am always greeted when I go in with a smile, and told to have a good work out . The machines I see them constantly being wiped down and sanitized and the floor kept clean which makes me feel safer that things are clean.

I read past reviews regarding the manager . I have no clue what any of you are talking about she is extremely friendly to me and professional.

Lastly there is a gal that wears a mask and she ALWAYS goes above and beyond to say hello to me . I love this gym , I truly believe it’s one of the BEST that woodland can offer !!!! I recommend you join this gym they always have specials !

I used to go to the Planet Fitness in West Sacramento, but recently began coming here due to it being closer and less crowded. I’ve only been here a few times and all I have to say is that I have not had the best experience. As soon as I got there a female worker with tattoos stopped me because my card was expired. Instead of being polite and understanding, the worker was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I have social anxiety, so awful experiences like this makes it hard for me to go back to place, even if I really like them. In addition, after that encounter with her, she started me down throughout my whole workout and it made me extremely uncomfortable.

I have been a member of this location since its opening. Historically, the staff has been welcoming and exceptionally friendly. However, the recent addition of new staff members has resulted in a decline in service quality. Specifically, one employee with tattoos has demonstrated a notably unprofessional and unfriendly demeanor. Additionally, the overall atmosphere of the gym has changed, and I have observed that several former employees are no longer with the company. It appears that if management improved its approach and professionalism, it might retain its staff more effectively.

I recently applied for a job at this Planet Fitness and was disappointed to find out that I wasn't hired due to my sibling already working there. It felt really unfair because I've heard that the club had family members working there previously. It seems like the policy isn't applied consistently, which is quite frustrating.

What’s even more disappointing is that the manager entrusted my brother to tell me that they wouldn’t be moving forward with my application instead of reaching out to me directly. It left me feeling a bit sidelined in the process.

I’ve been a member since the gym opened and I pretty much work out daily. I love being in a gym environment. It’s inspiring to see so many people trying to be the best version of themselves. Sadly I probably won’t be coming back here anytime soon.

Planet Fitness claims to create a work environment where employees feel valued and respected for their contributions, stating that harassment and any conduct creating an intimidating or hostile work environment won’t be tolerated. I went to the gym with my daughter as my guest, using my black card membership, and I was treated like a criminal because I didn’t know how to add her as a guest. There was a woman wearing a mask and another larger woman with tattoos, and neither of them made any effort to be polite. They were outright rude and made my daughter extremely uncomfortable. They even questioned my daughter’s age, refusing to believe she was 15. I've been coming to this gym for over a year, and I've never been treated this poorly before. The previous manager was always helpful, but these new staff members are incredibly rude and should be fired. I’m canceling my membership and going to another club.

I admit I joined PF for the tanning bed, but now have been working out here for about a year. The circuit room is my favorite. The staff has actually been encouraging , they have been the ones to keep me coming back! I love their interaction with the members, it has made a difference!. There have been some new faces , changing the vibes, hopefully they see what impact they have. I also appreciate the price, and the price not changing as soon as I sign up.

I recently went to this gym as a guest with my friend that has the black card thing and when I went there, there was this mean tattoo lady that was very rude and scary. I wanted to get a membership there since my friend said that this was a cool free judgment zone gym for a newbie like me but I felt judge by the lady with tattoos when I went. Planet Fitness is a great gym! There are tons of machines of all types. There is a 30 minute circuit room, excellent and clean locker rooms. The VIP area is pretty nice too. And the cost is super reasonable. We have used other gyms in the past but by far prefer Planet Fitness. You really should check them out!

Small, weird, and staff love to bother you as you come in. I came to work out not tell anyone my life story, I signed up online for a reason. Clean overall, a place to workout, but definitely crowded for no reason.

Extremely clean facility, the staff was kind and they all greeted me (I came around 12am). I loved that this facility had upgraded machines with rep counters, timers, fans, etc…..BUT I felt like a lot of the newer weight machines weren’t as plus size friendly as the older ones are. I’m referring mostly to the seat, the older machines have a bigger seat versus most of the new ones being equipped with bicycle type seats. This isn’t my home gym which I’m partially thankful for, but a nice facility overall.

It started with information. I wanted to give this place a better review but I can’t. Equipment stays broken for WEEKS and when issues get reported staff here don’t care. A massage chair has been broken for 3or more weeks and is supposed to be available for use because all of it isn’t broken?! No sign 🪧 to not use broken equipment will be placed. It’s just accepted.
