Shannon and Joey are the best. I’ve been working out with Shannon for many years - doing a mix of 1:1, 2:1, and group workouts. As a former D1 athlete, I’ve had a wide range of experiences with trainers - and not all good. She’s been responsive to my evolving needs and goals, and provides firm yet kind accountability. I highly recommend the Small Group training or one-on-one classes if you are considering a new fitness program!

I’ve been training with Joey for about a year now and it’s made a huge impact on my overall health. The workouts are challenging but still manageable for any skill level. Joey does a great job of changing up the workouts each week while still focusing on the main lifts and muscle groups. Joey is very attentive during the workout and gives excellent feedback on proper form and technique.

I’m now the strongest and healthiest I have ever been thanks to this class!

I had the pleasure of working with Shannon and Joey on their nutrition coaching. As a vegan, it was hard to determine how to hit my macros. They are both very knowledgeable and were able to tell me how much and what I should eat based on my personal goals. Each week, they checked in on me and gave me a detailed analysis of what I was eating. This helped keep me on track, especially on weeks where I felt like giving up, they were there to encourage me to push harder!

Fourteen months ago, I started working out with Shannon. I had just had a hysterectomy, was overweight and upset that none of my clothes fit, felt weak, my hip popped with every step, I wasn’t thinking at all about what I ate. I was nervous about working out alone and doing anything in the gym that wasn’t cardio, I felt liked I’d never get where I wanted to be physically, and I was not making good food choices. Shannon changed all of that. Little bit by little bit, and entirely at my pace, Shannon has supported me in making changes to improve my physical strength and my health. From day one, Shannon has consistently been my biggest cheerleader and accountability partner, always helping to find ways to encourage me with the utmost kindness to see for myself that I was stronger than I thought was and that I could push myself to get to where I want to be. Listening and implementing her guidance has led to me feeling physically better than I ever did in my 20s and 30s, lose more than 40 lbs and go down in clothing sizes, improve my mental health and control my anxiety better, feel confident in the gym when I work out alone, safely lift heavy to build muscle, made me love working out because I want to be strong and not just thin, taught me to think about nutrition and eat with intention to build muscle and lose fat, helped me to recover fully (and then some!) from surgery, supported me to build a butt and shrink my waist, and helped me to meet awesome other ladies during Saturday morning workouts who are so kind and supportive of each other. I have goals I’m still pursing, but I know that 14 months from now with Shannon’s help, I’ll be achieving them and working towards new ones. If you’re needing to make changes in your own life, Shannon’s the person who can support you to get there. I feel very lucky to work with her, have her guidance, and her help in my life.

I came to Shannon as a total beginner - never strength trained before and also not particularly active for over 3 years. I was nervous to get started. But Shannon is so kind and accommodating. I’ve been doing Joey’s bootcamp classes consistently for a couple months and I am now a dedicated bootcamp gal. I absolutely love the classes, I feel challenged without it feeling like it’s too much. Joey is always mindful and respectful of everyone’s different fitness levels, and he easily makes accommodations for those with limitations or injuries. I’ve done a few gym class with different local gyms and this one is easily my favorite. I really admire Joey’s knowledge, professionalism, and kindness.

I’ve been attending the group boot camp classes for a couple of months under Joey’s training and I feel more confident in lifting weights than I did before. Joey is very attentive and makes sure your form is correct before increasing weights. He always listens to what your goals are and gives advise as to how go reach them! I’ve been training for over a decade now and this boot camp is by far my favorite.

I have been training with Shannon for over a year and I recommend her to everyone, of all levels. I worked out pretty consistently before training with Shannon but my strength and muscle tone have significantly improved with her. Shannon is knowledgeable and thoughtful. Each of her classes are different and so well planned. You always feel like you’ve had a really good workout but everything is doable and she can offer unending modifications. I have have been strength training one on one with Shannon for over 2 months now, and it has honestly been so great! Shannon is really great at explaining and demonstrating the workouts. She is also super encouraging, and is just as excited to see you progress and get stronger as you are in yourself. Being a beginner to strength training can be nerve wrecking, but with Shannon, she makes you feel confident and validated.

I have worked out with Shannon for two years. She is an amazing trainer who focuses on form, functional fitness, and strength training. In her group classes she creates a welcoming, encouraging environment. In her personal training, she really listens to my needs and goals and tailors the program for me.
