I started out with the 16 week challenge. It was tough at first. My trainer John Latham did an evaluation of all of my program and we made adjustments. After making the adjustments I started seeing results with in a week. John had me start tracking my food and also did full body measurements for motivation. I also felt that John really wanted me to reach my goal. It was just a great feeling and still is.

I can't believe how small adjustments made such a huge difference.

I lost 4 inches in my waist. I am still excited and I am sticking to it.

The workouts focus on different muscle groups daily. Never the same workout. John always made the workout challenging, but never to hard to achieve the goal.

Many thanks!

I started here a couple months ago and kind of just did my own thing. Then John Latham showed up and took the time to ask me some questions. He genuinely wanted to know what I liked, what I didn't, and what I wanted from my membership here. He even took the time to share some factual info about exercise, how it all affects the body and the mindset needed to succeed. I have since taken some of his classes, which are efficient and effective and begun to actually look forward to coming here. Sometimes it just takes the encouragement from someone who knows what he's talking about for motivation. If you're a member and haven't taken a class from John, I'd highly recommend you do. Also, it seems that since John has started here, there have been many positive changes at Platinum Fitness in Pleasanton.

WOW! That is the word that comes to mind when I think about the results I am getting at this gym. My review is about one of the Fitness Trainers John. I’ve previously tried working out by myself and every time slowly fizzle out. A few weeks ago I was in and talked to John. He asked me if I had ever considered working with a trainer. I had always thought Trainers were enormous men who barked orders and smirked when you failed. Boy was I wrong! John partners with me. He explains what we are doing, why we are doing it and how it is going to help me. Not only the workout but he helps me with a food plan and checks up on me to make sure I am staying on track. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the progress I’m making and the confidence I’m gaining along with it. Thank you John for the passion you show in what you do.

I joined Platinum Fitness about 2 months ago. I have had a very positive experience so far. I enrolled in the fit smart program. I met John Latham who is a personal trainer at Platinum Fitness. I have taken 5 sessions from him so far. John is extremely knowledgeable not just about the workouts but also about diet and nutrition. He is not only helping me reach my goal, but he helps me gain more strength and endurance. Come check out the Gym and John and you'll be happy you did.

The fit smart challenge is a major scam. Mark and Hayley don't even work for the gym. The whole thing is super shady. My friend and I were lead to believe we'd be teamed with our own trainer for 3 sessions a week, have access to the gym until 7pm every day without having to purchase a 24 hr access card, and that we were singing up for a program through the gym itself. I was never told that it was some 3rd party thing.

All of a sudden the hours of operation changed to 12pm-5pm without notice. We was unable to gain access to the gym or get any contact to resolve the issue for over a week. When we finally went in person to resolve the issue, we'd had it and wanted to be released from this contract since we signed up under false pretenses and do not think it's fair for us to be locked into a year contract now since we've now, through no fault of our own, defaulted in the terms....

We were then told by the owner Jordan, that he has no control or power to cancel out contracts because it's not through the gym but through a 3rd party. Why is it that the owner of the gym can't cancel the gym membership contract for his own gym. The contract itself says Platinum Fitness - Pleasanton at the top.... Not another company name.... Not to mention the condescending attitude he gave us when we brought our concerns to his attention.

The only good experience we had was with the trainer Jarrad, who was the only helpful person through this whole thing and actually seemed to care about us as human beings, not just as dollar signs.

This whole experience has been ridiculous and I would not recommend this gym or program to anyone. We definitely got conned! If I could give negative stars I would.

Been a member for 7 years. It's a place fir those who want a small business feel. Never crowded, always clean. Had everything you need if your self motivated.. 24 hour access. I've tried others places and this is my home for fitness.

Amazing gym with very few people if you choose the right time to go. Makes you feel like it's your own private gym with a variety of equipment.

This is a good basic gym. Not crowded with enough cardio and weights. Great value. Open all the time. Do not choose if you want classes, hot tubs, showers etc.

This is the worst gym I've ever been to. Firstly, It is crowded. They added way too many crossfit sections and there is no space anymore. Secondly, the machines are broken or out of service the majority of the time. If you enjoy being cramped in a useless warehouse then this is the gym for you. The owner, Thomas is completely ignorant towards his dedicated attendants and disregards their wants and needs. This gym is trying to compete with real gyms like 24 or Club Sport. But they are failing miserably. I wouldn't return to this gym even if they paid me to do so. Just Awful!

This place is great as long as you never want to cancel your membership. They are impossible to reach in person, over the phone, or through their website mail. I have reached out multiple times since March'14 with ZERO response with the exception of several collection emails. When I tried calling their billing company, again, no response. They arent around during their posted office hours whenever I try.

As for the gym itself, its fine if you need a treadmill or a bike, but half of their machines were 'out of order' for the few months I used it.

I'd pass on this one!
