I have been a student of this studio for over 2.5 years. Each instructor has their own style, I love that about the classes, it gives you the opportunity to always be experiencing something new. The community that Sam and Collin have built is beyond valuable to me and I am so grateful to have found such a special place. You will be challenged, supported, and absolutely sore after your visit in the best way!

Point Pilates is a fantastic studio with a dynamic and diverse group of instructors as well as quality ownership. I've taken classes with most of the instructors and while I have my favorites, they all bring a lot to the table. Megan's classes are an experience. My body gets a workout while my soul takes a nap to her artfully curated playlists. Bri is a smiling assassin who will draw more out of you than you thought you had. And Marcia, buckle up. I've also taken classes with the owners and they are talented in their own right as you would expect. The new instructor Sam seems anything but. I had the privilege of taking her first training class, and she fits in like a veteran. Before joining I had tried other studios and as a tubby 55 year old male with no experience, I was rightfully nervous. This studio made me feel the most at home, by far. Highly recommend. It's a vibe. I am unfortunately moving out of Point Loma soon but this studio is high on a short list of my favorite things about the area.

I really wanted to love this studio, but I feel it’s important to share feedback about a class I took last week. The instructor is clearly very experienced, but a few comments she made felt outdated and left me feeling uncomfortable in my own body.
For example, when the person next to me and I both chose to modify a teaser, she told the woman beside me, “You’re advanced, you can do this with your legs straight - unlike this one over here,” while looking at me. It was incredibly discouraging and made me feel small in a moment when I was just trying to move at my own pace. We also spent the first 8 mins rolling on a foam roller, I paid to do Pilates, not foam roll which I can do at home.
I’d encourage her to be more mindful about how she speaks about students’ abilities. I took another class afterward and had a much better experience, so I do hope this is something that can be addressed with this particular instructor.

Studio is located in an easy to walk to neighborhood, everything is clean and well organized in the space. I took two of the same class description this week with two different instructors and they were light years apart in style. Bri taught a challenging, yet traditional leaning class. She was thorough on form and corrections and adjusted reformers for height. Props were circle and ball. My personal preference is this style- something that resembles Pilates and posture queuing throughout, focus on control. Jess basically taught body pump class, where many of the women chose hand weights well above their ability causing form to be totally out the window. If I were to become a regular, I think I’d like the classes and descriptions to be delineated, so I can pursue
contemporary and traditional Pilates as wanted. Or maybe levels? The 4all part isn’t working, and this is coming from an advanced traditional Pilates student.

I was a first-time visitor from out of town. Shelby, the instructor, was welcoming. Reformer pilates is fun! The studio is well organized and decorated. It's a nice touch looking out over the sky and seeing planes taking off from the airport.

The studio itself is nice and i never had issues parking. A couple great instructors. A couple who seemed to give tentative/half hearted instruction. If i show up for a guided class i dont really wanna be asked “would you guys like to do some floor work?”I prefer a little more command over a class. The reason i wont be returning is because in addition to losing your session (totally reasonable) if you cancel in less than 12 hours is that you are also charged $25 fee. There is no reason a customer should have to pay double especially given that the studio still could have time to refill that spot. I had also emailed them inquiring about session expirations (sessions shouldnt expire) and no response. Went to book my last 2 sessions. Gone. Im sure this info IS disclosed in fine print at time of purchase. If so, thats on me.

Point Pilates is by far one of the best places to get a killer workout in!! Amazing instructors that demonstrate, educate, and guide you to reach your personal goal within a judgement free space. And what a better distraction from a kick butt workout than the beautifully balanced studio space complimented with a gorgeous view looking over Point Loma.

Have attended classes a few times a week for about 3 months and it’s awesome! There is great variety between the instructors and I always get in a solid workout. Space is so clean and inviting. Students and instructors all really friendly - I feel like it’s a family. Such a great studio to have in the neighborhood!

From day one, the Point Pilates team has proven to be knowledgeable, helpful, and instructive for all levels of Pilates students (personally, I'm new to Pilates). Good selection of classes (type of class, day/time) and instructors. Instructors are highly aware of proper form and training; for instance, where needed, they provide adjustments (verbal or hands on) to ensure proper form and muscle engagement and reduce potential for missteps. While I don't have a favorite instructor (they all are great!), I do know that several students have expressed how well Collin coaches and encourages their workouts -- "it's his voice" :)(that is so encouraging). I find this to be true of all the teachers. Be sure to try the "New Student" offering -- a great deal for sure!

I started Pilates last year with Point Pilates. I fell in love with the beautiful dynamic duo couple owners Sam and Colin. They were so welcoming and their guidance, cues, sequencing and personalities made me come back since then. All of the teachers are excellent and diverse. They are true Pilates teachers who have a high amount of knowledge in the physical body and how the body works. You will never be disappointed in any of the classes!

I just moved away from San Diego and I am so bummed to be leaving this amazing studio. While looking for a new studio I thought I would give a shout out to this one. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and so much fun! You get so much personal instruction being that there are only four students in the class at a time. As a bonus, I got to know my amazing classmates since there are so many loyal clients that stick to the same schedule.. Enjoy :)

First time doing Pilates and the instructors are so great at coaching kindly and encouraging while still getting a great workout in with new routines daily so it doesn’t get stagnant ( and it’s small enough you don’t feel like your not getting one on one help if needed) I look forward to doing this a few times a week and I’m so glad I decided to add this into my daily life routine, I LOVE it.

I love this studio! I was always athletic until a few years ago. Samantha’s coaching has been totally rejuvenating and at 74 I was feeling a need for rejuvenation. The J Pilates benchmark of, “after 10 sessions you’ll feel different,” is on target for me. I feel different; stronger, more agile & energized! Looking forward to the 20 session benchmark!! ❤️❤️❤️

I am so happy that I found out about Point Pilates! Samantha and Marcia are the most knowledgeable and informative instructors I've ever had. If you're looking to learn the fundamentals and proper techniques of Pilates and get a killer workout at the same time, this is the place! I've learned so much in my short time there and I'm already seeing and feeling the difference. The studio is immaculate, and the cleaning/distancing protocols that they've established makes me confident that they're doing whatever it takes to keep us all safe so we can continue practicing and working on our well-being. Thank you ladies!

I took my first ever Pilates class at Point Pilates and let’s just say I am now obsessed!!! I have been active my entire life from gymnastics to running to weight training... for some reason I always pushed Pilates to the side and never gave it a shot and I’m so glad I finally did. Samantha is amazing and is so passionate about what she does, she really did make my first experience amazing. I love that Point Pilates is an intimate studio, Samantha always has her eyes on you to guide you throughout the whole class. For me, it has been intimidating to try out new/different types of workout classes because they tend to be larger classes which I find uncomfortable based on my fitness journey. I was so comfortable the entire time and that’s huge for me. I highly recommend giving Samatha and Point Pilates a shot, you won’t regret it!!!

Point Pilates is ON POINT! Sam is an amazing instructor. She brings so much happy energy to the class and progresses me intelligently and with plenty of encouragement. There are only four reformers in the class, so each one is like a semi private lesson with lots of attention, which is perfect to grow in pilates an improve your form.

Samantha is an incredible instructor, she has a beautiful and attentive energy. Samantha takes the time to gauge our fitness levels before beginning the class in order to cater our individual needs. The classes are a blast and provide a space for you to truly focus on your mind and body. I feel encouraged to be my best-self when I'm in class. Point Pilates is an all-embracing studio and I highly suggest that you sign up for a class so you can experience it for yourself!

Samantha is an amazing instructor! She takes the time to make sure you are doing the moves correctly. She tells you what muscle groups you are working so you know if you are doing the exercise right. Every class I have taken with her leaves me feeling good, that I pushed myself, and that I made a difference for my body. She is fantastic with beginners all the way to people that have been doing Pilates for years. If you have an injury she is fantastic with that too. I hurt my elbow and she made adjustments for me so I still got a good work out in without making my injury worse. I highly recommend taking a class with her!!!

Samantha will make your Pilates experience a healthy and happy one! She is one of the most positive instructors I've had and her workouts are a great 'stretch'! I've only taken her beginner class, but it was challenging. I felt great afterwards. Best of luck with Point Pilates, Sam!

I have been doing Pilates for about 5 years and been to countless studios and Samantha is one of my favorite Pilates instructors. Her classes are challenging without being overwhelming. She has a way to engaging you in the workout and encouraging you when you think you want to stop! I always recommend her when a conversation about Pilates comes up, to both beginners and advanced in their Pilates practice, and I can’t wait to take more classes with her at her studio!

I have been working out with Samantha for the last 3 years & there is no other workout plan that works better for me than her's. I have seen my body change in ways I didn't think possible. I feel strong, lean and full of energy. As an instructor, Samantha is vibrant but tough. I appreciate that she is always present with me throughout the workout, guiding/correcting to ensure I get the most out of my time with her. I love her small/personalized approach at Point Pilates; knowing that her eyes are always on me. 10 out of 10!

I’ve been doing Pilates for many years now and I’ve never had an instructor quite like Samantha. Her approach is somehow energizing and calming at the same time. Sam has this awesome ability to inspire students of all experience levels within the same class, which is really hard to do. If you like your butt kickings with a side of positive affirmations, this is the place for you!
