I have to rate it for what it is. This gym is overpriced, and does not have a good vibe. The owners have an overly strict attitude. If you cancel on a class, you are fined. Signs everywhere - don't do this, don't do that. The bathrooms are pretty nasty. We finally canceled our membership - had to pay a $60 cancellation fee. I feel like they got us going out the door, but that will be that.

STAY AWAY – TOTAL RIP OFF
This gym is a joke. $60 just to cancel in the first 3 months ?! Is it an apartment lease or car rental ?! 🤔
$62/month for one person, $82 for two insane pricing. Also they close the locker/fitting rooms at 8PM even though it’s a “24-hour gym.” 🤦♂️ what a stupid policy
On top of that, you need their app to open the door it's acceptable Fine, but if you and your spouse are on the same plan, you both have to open it separately, like seriously one at the time 😂 Ridiculous.
Unprofessional, overpriced, and full of nonsense policies. Save your money and join a real gym.
However, I cancelled not because it's expensive NOPE because of the stupid policies
Thank you for reading
An advise for the OWNER , not because it's a town and not enough people ( memberships ) to cover your expenses and life style
SO YOU RIP PEOPLE OFF & INSANE TREATMENT ( shut down your business or open in a different city )
An advise for the PEOPLE do like me if you live in town , there are a lot of gym equipment on Amazon that can do the work for you CHEAP as well and relax at home and avoiding this gym

Not the best kept gym around. It’s sort of neglected… a lot. The equipment looks good but especially the locker rooms! Wow, really gross! Felt like a dungeon. Their member ship fee is like $65 per month!!! For that? There are a lot of good things going on but the vibe is not good.

I’ve been a member of PUFS for almost 12 years, before it became a 24 hour gym. I loved it 12 years ago and continue to love having my membership. Personally, I love the fitness classes offered and the pool access during summer. I work up a sweat in any class I take and appreciate the variety offered. My 14 year old started going to gym and he enjoys use of the machines with me and the basketball court. I also appreciate that it’s family owned and operated. It’s a keeper!

This is by far the worse experience I have ever encountered at a gym and its owner. It was the complete opposite of what you should expect when going into the gym & wanting a membership. I had called several weeks before going into the gym itself to ask about the peace officers discount (which I was told by a family friend they offered for being in law enforcement) being told I qualified and it would be $47.00 a month over the phone. I went to the gym this morning to ask about the amenities, class schedule and excited to sign up for a membership. My whole goal in obtaining a membership again was to start working out with an old group of friends who go there & to start rehabilitation on my knee after having knee surgery due to a work injury. Well it was hard to even get into the front door for starters to even ask these questions, no one answered the phone as I and another lady stood outside in the rain calling, finally another member seen us and let us in. I then stood at the front desk for about 10 minutes waiting for someone who works there to assist me…. Finally Jenn the owner came up with a not so friendly greeting. I had mentioned I use to be a long time gym member at the gym previously before she took it over and that I use to take her kickboxing classes at her original power up fitness location. I was met with a disgustingly rude attitude about her gym now like I had offended her in some way, she wasn’t welcoming, and then I asked about the law enforcement discount membership and told I was a corrections officer and worked for the state, she said they didn’t offer that discount to us because they don’t consider us as a “peace officer.” I know two people who work for CDCR that are currently getting the law enforcement discount at this gym, so I was confused on why I wasn’t qualified when I was told I was by her over the phone but now in person I wasn’t considered a peace officer and didn’t qualify. The whole experience was unpleasant and unprofessional. They had no brochure with amenities and prices or least I wasn’t given anything. It was hard to get anyone to come to the front desk for help. The unwelcoming attitude of Jenn the owner and the way I was treated and spoke to made me walk out. That is not the way to treat anyone or get new clients in the door..

This is the only gym I've ever been to that wasn't ineffably impossible to breathe properly in.
Would love somewhat less religion in the technically-not-yoga (like I feel you, I'm presbyterian, I understand not wanting to do hinduism, but what if... we just only did the stretching part?...) but even so there's a lot to be said for competently run free-with-monthly-subscription classes for low prices.

Love this gym!
I've experienced various gyms across California over the past 20 years, and this location of Power Up Fitness stands out among the best. The versatility in equipment here is top-notch, and their pricing is fair. Even if you're not a member, just call the number and they'll buzz you in any time with a low drop in fee! It's affordable for the whole family, and I appreciate that they support the local school athletics department and athletes. They have a refreshing pool, basketball courts and an aerobics room. Separate sauna and steam room for men and women.
Highly recommend and worth the drive if you don't live that close. The place really sells itself. Super happy with this place.

Power Up took the keys to an old, out-of-date gym and completely turned it around. They have every piece of equipment you’d need and more. Also, the staff makes you feel welcomed and heard, unlike the corporate Anytime Fitness down the road.

Power up Fitness is amazing! I love being able to do multiple classes like spin, ball Pilates, Zumba, etc. That can fit anyone’s schedule. I have taken classes with Jennifer, Summer and Brian and they are amazing instructors! If the class schedule doesn’t align with your personal schedule you can always head next door to the 24 hour fitness center that has everything you need to get an awesome workout in!

I love this place! I’ve tried every class and enjoy them all for different reasons. If you’re looking for weight classes, stretch classes, Zumba fitness or cardio classes or just want to work out on your own with machines or free weights, this is your place. I’ve used the childcare when my children were younger and they loved playing with others while I got my workout in. I’ve also used the digital files of classes when I can’t attend workouts in person. There’s a huge variety so you never feel bored. The owner is also the instructor and she will kick your butt. You will like it and come back for more.
