I was a client of Powerform for about 8 months and couldn't be happier with my experience! The facilities are clean, and the supportive atmosphere kept me motivated while I was in the midst of a workout rut. What stood out to me the most was the thoughtful programming of workouts to help me reach my fitness goals.

Each session was designed to target relevant muscle groups while incorporating proper form and technique, which was crucial for my progress and reduced risk for injury. With access to a variety of strength training equipment and expertise from the coaches, I was able to significantly improve my upper body strength. I achieved my goals of increasing my bench press and completing a pull-up — something I once thought was out of reach!

Scheduling sessions was simple, and I appreciated the responsiveness of the owner, who was always available to answer questions and provide guidance. Highly recommend this gym for anyone looking to get started on or elevate their fitness journey!

There's a wide variety of skill levels amongst the trainers here. I ended up finding somebody where there was decent compatibility.

The problem came when one day out of the blue that trainer volunteered the information that he is, in fact, in support of the genocide of the Palestinian people. He expressed that he thought that this was a good thing, and he was very clear about his support of it.

I did not ask him about this. He volunteered this information.

I had a follow-up conversation with the owner of the gym. I asked him very directly three times if he was also in support of the genocide of the Palestinian people or any people. He struggled to and ultimately refused to say that he did not support genocide.

Personally, I can't work with or support any organization that supports any form of genocide against any people. So I fired them immediately and will never do business with them.

I highly recommend that if you care even remotely about divesting your money from organizations that support genocide, do not do business here.

Powerform should be at the top of your list when deciding on a place to train. The staff and owner are so nice and always supportive. In particular, John was my favorite trainer. He was always so supportive, kind, and encouraging. The gym was always clean and inviting. I would definitely recommend Powerform to anyone looking for a personal trainer.

Hands down, this is one of the best gyms in the Bay Area. The 1:1 personalized training, the dedicated and detailed coaches, and the inclusive and encouraging environment. Everyone I've worked with (Alex, Dave, Diante, Mikkie, and Nick) is stellar. Max, the owner is responsive and helpful with any questions or concerns.

Powerform has improved my life in a myriad of ways. I am more confident and stronger, physically and mentally. And also, more muscles look good, too!

One of the key reasons why Powerform works for me is the 30 minute slots for one on one personal training. Ill be honest, psychologically, its a hurtle for me to commit regularly to something I have to commit a full hour to weekly. But 30 minutes is a breeze. There is also very little prep or down time before or after the workout. You do your thing and then get on with your life.

The results are that Im getting not only stronger but more flexible. I find it easier to bike around the city, do day to day activities with more ease and even exercise on my own.

I highly recommend it to those who are novices to weight lifting. Learn correct form, commit to a short training interval (30 min) that you know you can stick to. That can help set a new behavior pattern that has lifetime benefits and health consequences.

I was working out with Dave yesterday and took a moment to think back on my experience with him. I'd never lifted weights before and was interested in trying it out as a way to deal with some lower back pain. A friend of mine who has extremely high standards, gave Dave a really strong recommendation, so I decided to give him a call. I had a great time at my first session - where he talked with me about my experiences, the issues I've been having, and my goals. We got along great and I've been training with him for the three years now. In that time I've seen my strength increase significantly, the pain in my back's gone and I've recommended half a dozen more people to start working with him.
