(1) Walking into the PowerHouse Gym almost feels like home. The employees take time to learn clients names, remember small but kind details about their lives. I know they actually care about their members, but it certainly works both ways, and the feeling is mutual.
(2) Noticed more people are using the newly installed “High Tech” equipment.
(3) It is a challenge to maintain a facility this large, I appreciate the “Effort” and certain areas such as the men’s sauna are improving. The additional “Signage” does help to remind members of basic rules. And it also reminds “Staff” to follow-up on inspections.
(4) I’m not a relative of the gym ownership, but think it would be “Highly Beneficial” to the community to start a “Campaign” to lure back our senior citizens. Because of the ineligibility of some popular health plans (Silver Sneakers), many seniors have to drive miles to L. A. Fitness, or stop going to the gym all together. My recommendation would be:
(A) Offer discounted rates ($15 Monthly)
(B) Specific time of use (10am - 3pm)
(C) Establish Eligibility Age - 70+

Note: Not only will the seniors come back, but their entire family (Paying the required rate) would also come to the gym. And the entire community benefits. And the overall health benefits are astronomical.

The music is okay, with some hideous exceptions. The drunk frat boys screaming all three notes of their pathetic range could be dumped. And a few other really repetitious crap.

The pool area was repainted, taking many weeks to complete. The staff seemingly were not aware of the schedule. They either “didn’t know”, or they were just wrong.

Lots of low level maintenance is missing; broken locks, missing hooks, the broken scale. A walk-thru would alert anyone to many really simple things that need minor repair.

Otherwise love the place.

The gym is great overall, but the cardio area could use some improvement. It’s extremely loud, making it difficult to listen to music or watch anything while working out. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Powerhouse Gym in San Jacinto. The manager's behavior was completely unprofessional. When I asked for help with canceling my membership, he became aggressive and seemed more interested in keeping my money than assisting me. The staff's attitude was rude and unwelcoming.

To make matters worse, the gym's cleanliness and maintenance were subpar. It's clear they prioritize profits over member well-being. Unless they address these issues, I'd advise others to look elsewhere for a healthier and more respectful gym experience.

I used to really enjoy this gym, but they recently implemented a policy that restricts Tivity members to specific workout times (tivity proram name examples "Fitness your Way" and "Silver Sneakers". As an early riser, I typically work out around 5 AM, but I was informed that I can't come in until 7 AM. My membership was a benefit through my employer, and while I could afford to switch out this program and pay for a regular membership, I chose not to because I didn't appreciate their strategy to push people to cancel. So, I decided to cancel my membership and am currently working out at home. I hope that one day, we’ll have more gym options in San Jacinto, as the ones in Hemet are too far for me.

EVERY single time I come to this gym, I am treated with kindness, dignity, and respect my favorite thing. I only do the Zumba. With the awesome Miss ALMA! I have definitely seen how I have increased dramatically mentally spiritually, especially physically. My figure is looking gorgeous these days because of this awesome gym and the gym membership is very very reasonable because I am definitely a senior citizen on a budget. This gym is a serious health hazard and needs immediate attention.

There is absolutely no excuse for the conditions at this Powerhouse Gym. The place needs to be shut down, cleaned from top to bottom, restaffed under new management, and completely refitted with safe, functional equipment. It’s disgusting and dangerous — no exaggeration.

There’s visible mold, roaches, and bodily fluids in and around the pool. Equipment is dangerously old and broken, and safety hazards are everywhere. The smell alone makes me feel like I might catch something just walking in — let alone touching anything.

There’s no way this facility is being inspected regularly. If they are, someone’s not doing their job — or management is sweeping it under the rug. With the money this gym must be bringing in, it should look at least half as clean and maintained as a basic Esporta or Planet Fitness. They could literally make it presentable with basic cleaning supplies from Dollar General and some low-budget upgrades, but they don’t. That tells me someone’s likely pocketing money instead of investing in basic hygiene and safety for members.

I’m giving this facility one last chance to make real changes. If nothing is done immediately, I’ll be reporting it to:
• The local health department
• City safety/code enforcement
• The Better Business Bureau
• And possibly the State Attorney General

This isn’t a personal grudge — it’s a matter of public health and member safety. I sincerely hope someone in management takes this seriously before it gets worse.

Recently visited with a friend as their guest. Always heard how dirty this place was but they had a pose room i wanted to try out. To my suprise everyone was pretty friendly. Decent gym. most of the staff is good but the gym manager is the biggest issue everyone I’ve talked to has. Told me straight to my face I was a liar and a child who didn’t need to workout there after starting a gym membership after one of the staff had told me I’d be able to bring a guest any time and any day of the week. Which I thought was awesome but after doing that for 3 months I came in to workout with my 16 year old cousin. He told me I couldn’t bring guest at all and when I told him I signed up at this gym because I was allowed to bring guest he started yelling calling me a child and a liar because I was upset and confused at why his staff told me I could bring guest whenever and now he is saying I can’t. Absolutely horrible experience at a good gym with just horrible management.

Canceled my membership. Honestly found a better gym for way cheaper. Called to cancel my membership and surprise there's a 30 day notice for cancelation that you still have to pay. Told them no one told me about that and would like to read the contract, guys said absolutely. Haven't got that email of the contract and they had trouble even finding me cause they spelled my name wrong. The guy basically sign me up himself telling me 3 months minimum to cancel contract and can cancel anytime without telling me about the 30 day heads up notice. Worst location of all of their gyms. THEY HAVE ROACHES and MOLD in the bathroom and sauna areas. Read the reviews of others and BEWARE!!! ALSO.. Read your contract!!!! We were told it was monthly membership but your actually charged bi-weekly. Also month to month contract is only after a 3 monthly mandatory subscription. So you have to pay the $20 biweekly for 3 month “mandatory” and then ask for a cancellation which won’t take effect till after the 4th month so their “month to month contract” actually means a minimum of 4 months which is $40x4=$160.00 minimum before they will let you out of your contract. I’d suggest asking for a free trial before signing anything!! Because once you’re locked in you’re LOCKED IN!!!

There is this very backward rule that there are no guest allowed after 9pm, which is just dumb, seeing as guest who signed in earlier can stay all night. Not only that but having a guest only in weekends is not manageable. No other gym has this rule. If you like to gym with others, consider another gym. Fairly new customers here and workers are friendly greeting every time we step in and out. In recovery from a triple bypass cardiac so it’s a goal to get strong and healthier this New Year. Just trying this gym out because it’s local. We have yet to try out some of the classes. CONVENIENCE is big for us seeing how this place is 5 minutes away for us. Child care is a PLUS. The outdoor equipment / workout area is DATED but I still enjoy the separation from inside. Getting fresh air + sunlight instead of being in a crowded room and feeling stuffy. The Indoor machines especially in the cardio area absolutely NEED to be upgraded or maintained better. Enjoy the PERSONAL SAUNA CUBES for 2 and the MASSAGE CHAIRS. Wish there was atleast an indoor shop or smoothie for pre-workout / post workout drinks and smoothies.

Worst Powerhouse gym EVER !!! Super dirty. Womens sauna NEVER works or is never hot enough. Machines are always sticky from people spilling their drinks. Its obvious the staff never clean the machine on a day to day basis. There was a hand foot and mouth outbreak recently, no one communicated to the parents. Never closed the daycare for quarantine. They kept the daycare open. I understand this gym is in budget for many people, myself included. But come on. We deserve an upgrade like Menifee or Murrieta locations.

In July of 2024 I moved from San Jacinto to Los Angeles for an opportunity to work as an electrician at the film studios.

I have been trying to cancel my membership since. Each time I called or drive over 100 miles to speak someone for assistance, the staff are misleading, short tempered and rude.

I called tonight to attempt to seek further assistance with canceling my subscription and the young lady was dismissive and rude. She hung the phone up in my face. For 10 minutes, when I called back, she kept hanging up the phone. Finally someone else answered the phone and he took 5 minutes to explain the process. He was understanding that I can’t call during the day because I work construction and it’s too loud on site. I really appreciate his help, but I am going to contact BBB and local officials about this treatment. I don’t want to be treated “special” I just want the information I need in order to complete the membership cancellation.

Chris who answered the phone, was extremely rude when I was just asking simple questions about canceling my mother in laws membership, he became very frustrated/agitated when I asked for clarification I wasn’t trying to fight him on the subject JUST wanted clarification. Definitely needs to take a deep breath, I don’t know what kind of people he deals with on a daily basis but some patience towards others will go further than combativeness.

I finally found a gym that has everything I need. I love the vibe of the cardio room, the weight room & equipment room is massive, quite deceiving from the outside. Highly recommend this gym!!!!

I enjoy swimming,the gym is very close to my home,the staff are nice and attentive,when they are not flirting or on their phones,I really enjoy the aqua massage chair. The shower heads need to be replaced as do the curtains,starting to smell of mild. The soap is cheap and toxic,at least the pool is using a saltine solution instead of chlorine,which they use in the jacuzzi. Dry steam room needs to be cleaned often and the people need to stop playing music while inside,signs should be posted,but hey,who listens to rules.I was paying 20 now its 40 a month,but still the same old service,until I move this is were I visit.

Staff is too cliquey and extremely egotistical
Pool is always green
Equipment is old and always broken sometimes for days
There’s a smell
I quit my membership they tell you it’s free to quit and you just call and let them know but they make the process so difficult and charge you a hidden fee to quit. It’s not worth it I rather go out of town to work out

I've been a Member for over 20 years. This gym meets all my workout needs. I enjoy going in and doing a "tune up" workout with excellent machines or free weights. Plenty of machines for walking/jogging. Pool, sauna and other amenities available I haven't even tapped into yet! The staff is always Friendly and Available for any questions. This is My Gym.
