Very inexpensive reformer Pilates classes with friendly teachers. Ample parking. Clean studio and restroom. Most teachers spend at least 50% of the time directly working abdominals (sit-ups & planks, sideovers, etc), which I hate, because 99% of Pilates exercises use your abs when form is correct. So, not a total body workout depending on the instructor. All in all, a decent spot for group reformer Pilates because it is clean and inexpensive (compared to other studios).

I took my first ever pilates class (Initiate) with Jennifer and it was an amazing workout (my abs and glutes are definitely going to be sore tomorrow). I'm a yoga regular and have tried a few barre classes in the past, but I've never used a pilates reformer before today. I highly recommend this class to those wanting to try pilates, and Jennifer's instructions were easy to follow. Can't wait until my next class!

Powerhouse Pilates and their crew are the BEST in all of San Diego county. No other pilates studio compares and I've tried every single one. I now drive from Carlsbad to PB to take classes. Sometimes I think that I'm crazy to do it but i honestly feel it's worth the drive. You owe it to yourself to take classes. Brigette, Shannon, Sam, Larissa, Nicole, Sylvia.. You ladies KILL it. I love Powerhouse Pilates for so many reasons. The instructors are fantastic, the schedule they offer is better than any other studio I have seen, the owners are 'rad', and they offer so many different types of classes - you can go every day and get a totally different workout. Awesome on every scale. I have been to a lot of Pilates studios in the area and haven't found anyone who can compete at all with this great studio. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to try Pilates or who already loves Pilates. Check them out for yourself!

I highly recommend Powerhouse Pilates because the overall operation is professional and run well. The exercise space is clean, organized, and welcoming. The instructors are knowledgeable, attentive, and accommodating to individual needs. The equipment is top-notch and maintained well. The classes and space are just the right size, not too big especially. When I ran into a scheduling problem, it was quickly and thoughtfully resolved. I love this place. All of the teachers are fun and challenging. Recently I had a low-back injury flare-up that was immobilizing for 10+ days. I hadn't worked out for a couple of weeks, and I went to Liz's class and let her know what I was experiencing in my body. I woke up the next morning feeling better than I had in weeks thanks to her well-thought-out exercises and stretches. thank you Liz and all the teachers at PP!

I really liked the facilities and all the equipment Powerhouse had. Compared to other Pilates studios I've tried, this studio has all sorts of extra equipment (springs along the wall, etc) to improve the workout or stretching session. Nicole was also an excellent, very attentive instructor.

Vanessa was amazing. She was patient. She was understanding. And at the same time she made sure I got the most out of my workout. I have been in the yoga and fitness world for over 20 years and have tried just about everything when it comes to movement. I tried Powerhouse Pilates after I injured my neck and back and wasn't able to do the same types of exercise. It was a game changer for me!

Jennifer gave me modifications and props to support my neck and I was able to strengthen my core more than I had over years of doing crunches and ab workouts. Love love love!

I absolutely LOVE this studio! Where do I start? Here are a few things that I love- Great instructors who are always switching things up (no repetition), they all pay attention to our form and are constantly giving spot on verbal cues to guide you through your workout, tons of classes to choose from all throughout the day, great prices, friendly atmosphere, super clean studio and equipment, lots of different types of equipment to use (chair, springboard, mat, ring, bosu ball, weights, etc.), air conditioned, centrally located in PB, parking, the list goes on and on and on! I've gone to several different studios in the past 16 years and this is by FAR my favorite! :)

This is my favorite Pilates studio in SD! The instructors are very knowledgeable, give great cues to make sure you're getting the most from the exercises, and have great personalities!
