Preggo Pilates is San Francisco's premier and longest running pre and postnatal Pilates studio offering group classes, private sessions and on-demand classes since 2005. Owned and operated by Stephanie Forster, Certified Pilates Trainer and Balanced Body Educator. All group classes are held at EHS Pilates, 1452 Valencia St. Private and semi-private sessions are at Preggo Pilates Potrero Hill.

Stephanie is a Goddess! I found her during a very difficult hormonal time for me that is not related to pregnancy but peri menopause 🤪 Turns out the pelvic floor is still important after childbirth years! Who knew? She is so patient and kind in helping my aching joints get to the strength they need to thrive again. I feel stronger and more able to handle the ups and downs when I’m seeing Stephanie regularly, so happy to have found another type of support for this difficult time🥰

Steph is the best!! Could not have survived pregnancy without her, and now I’m almost back to my pre preggo bod. So grateful for her!! Even if you’ve never done Pilates this is the perfect time to start. Super safe and so effective.

This review is long overdue. I first went to see Stephanie as I was concerned I had diastasis recti, and at my first session Stephanie alleviated my concern and I had my first pilates workout ever with Stephanie almost 2 years ago. I was instantly hooked and have been seeing her every week ever since! Stephanie is absolutely incredible, her studio is an oasis and as soon as I walk in all my outside stress dissipates. She is a master instructor and I feel amazing after every workout and can't wait for the next.

I have been doing prenatal and postnatal Pilates with Stephanie for almost a decade -- after my second child was born, she helped me rebuild my strength and recover my pelvic floor and postpartum body. Eight years later I am still practicing with her! She is kind but willing to push you and just has an intuitive understanding of mama's bodies. Plus, she's fun. And her Potrero studio is just lovely -- I love doing in person duet appointments with a friend.

Stephanie is a gifted and thoughtful instructor and has incredible knowledge of pregnancy and postpartum pilates and how to work with aches and pains of those stages in addition to staying strong throughout the motherhood journey. She's a gem and her studio is beautiful, calm and an oasis!

I can't recommend Stephanie enough for expectant mothers! Her prenatal pilates has helped me tremendously with the aches and pains that pregnancy brings. Her Potrero studio a cozy haven - clean, well equipped, and so relaxing. She is a fantastic instructor who really listens and focuses on whatever is bothering me that day - and also gives great advice on some stretches to do at home in between classes. I'm so glad I found this spot and am looking forward to being a client even after baby arrives.

I've been working with Stephanie since my 2nd child was born more than 10 years ago! She provides a challenging workout with excellent assistance/ queues / modifications. Her studio is incredible - easy to park, comfortable, bright, calming. Going to my weekly duets (two people + instructor) is the highlight of my week.

I do both Pilates classes with Stephanie at her Potrero Studio. Stephanie has been teaching Pilates for years and instructs other Pilates teachers, so she is super knowledgeable. I am not pregnant or postpartum (her specialty), but I came to her through a friend and fell in love with Pilates and how it’s helped strengthen my core and whole body. I do solo classes and sometimes a duet with a friend. Her studio is such a peaceful place to come - a real highlight of my week & I always leave feeling better.

Obsessed with this new studio to take classes from veteran Stephanie. She's the best. I have hip problems from pregnancy/childbirth and working with Stephanie every week has been more effective than PT/doctors. Highly recommend. She can customize your session to what you need - every time. I always leave feeling pain free and stronger.

I discovered Steph and her post-natal Pilates class after having my firstborn—almost 10 years ago! I continued with her through my next pregnancy and felt so much stronger and able than with my first pregnancy. I continued with Steph until the lockdown and then recently got back my Pilates mojo at her recently renovated studio in Potrero! In-person pilates with Steph feels so good, even as she somehow gently leads us through exercises and movements that leave me sore, but stronger!

Stephanie is a master pilates instructor. I have enjoyed her in-person classes, virtual classes, and on-demand classes. I also get the most amazing targeted Pilates workout at her beautiful studio in both private and semi-private sessions. I can't recommend Stephanie and Preggo Pilates highly enough!

Stephanie has rescued my body from post-childbirth oblivion! When doing my research on fixing my diastasis recti (hello stomach muscles, get back to your places!), I was pointed to Preggo Pilates as the place to go through that all powerful sisterhood network - moms! Her 20+ years experience has repaired and strengthened by body and I am never turning back. Preggo Pilates forever! And I couldn't recommend a better partner in the journey than Stephanie. Not only does she really know women's bodies but motivates and keeps me showing up through her humor, care, and genuine passion for what she does. I have been taking private classes and group classes with her for over 5 years (my youngest child is 7 yrs old now). And her new studio in Potrero Hill is beautiful, with all new Pilates equipment in a warm, natural light filled space. Pilates really works but you need someone as expert as Stephanie who can individualize your workouts with all the small adjustments to get your body back. I couldn't recommend Preggo Pilates more!

I have seen Stephanie for privates, and group classes (both pre and postpartum) for close to 10 years! I have done most of her formats and am passionate about all of them.
Privates - Stephanie's private studio is an oasis. It is beautiful, calming, easy to get to/park and outfitted perfectly.
Group classes - I have gone to group classes for years. Stephanie has a way of building community and your body! I always leave feeling better emotionally and physically. I love the reformer and mat and how she mixes it up.
Virtual - when pressed for time or in COVID, I accessed the virtual offerings. Amazing!

Stephanie Forster (aka Preggo Pilates) is amazing. I've been taking Pilates with her since 2016. I saw her for prenatal pilates during both pregnancies, I've done postnatal/postpartum pilates (with baby in tow), and have continued to work with her one-on-one, in duets and triplets too. I may be a superfan as I've also enjoyed her on-demand classes and on-demand challenges. I know she's helped many friends of mine too (I even had prenatal classes on my baby registry and a friend gifted those and told me about how Stephanie had helped her with diastasis recti issues.) Her studio in Potrero is such a lovely, light filled space filled with all the equipment.
