As an adult dancer it’s not always easy to find instructors with a passion for their students’ improvement. At Premier Dance Arts of Los Alamitos, all ballet teachers are seriously invested in their teaching and in the ballet school, they are genuinely excited to see an individual grow, regardless of level or starting point. Moreover, they all realize the importance of a supportive learning environment and therefore do their utmost to nurture inclusivity. This trickles down to the students who are friendly and encouraging students of each others successes.

I do not leave reviews often but wanted to take the time to talk about our experience at Premier Dance Arts of Los Alamitos and their ballet program for kids.

My daughter was a part of another much larger program in Long Beach for 4 years prior to coming to this ballet school in Los Alamitos. After last season she did not want to return to ballet. She wanted to quit. We truly honor our kids wishes and so I was ready to let it go but then I did some research and found LABS.

So far my daughter LOVES it. If you truly do not love the art I believe that you are never going to push yourself to your potential. Renee teaches my daughter and she is so kind, thoughtful and most importantly invested in my daughter being the best version of herself. She takes the time to correct her without making her feel bad about herself. She respects where she is at.

To have a studio like this is Los Al is very rare - their values align with ours and to have a role model that my daughter can identify is worth its weight in gold. I am excited that my daughter is finding joy in ballet again and I hope that she continues for years.

Our experience at our old institution was so impersonal and often times rooted in fear of not following rules or asking for flexibility. To come here is so refreshing but more so what the world needs more of - a place to feel like you belong. Thank you Renee for allowing my child to be a child and bringing the joy of dance back to her life.

Running a small business like this is not easy but adds so much value to our communities and it is equally important to support them back.

We love Premier Dance Arts of Los Alamitos! All the instructors are so patient and knowledgeable. Miss Emma in particular is a wonderful dancer and works so hard with the creative movement dancers.

The stars aligned, the universe spoke, and my daughter made the switch to this amazing studio. After dancing for 10 years (5y-15y) at a legacy studio, she worked up the courage to change...and she has never been happier! I am so happy to see her grow as a dancer and young adult with the training, support, and encouragement of David and Renee. My daughter loves being challenged and she is thriving in this positive, inclusive environment. She has been taking classes almost daily during the school year, and now during their summer intensive she is dancing nearly all day. She's exhausted and she loves every minute. I can't recommend the studio enough--not just for new dancers but also for experienced dancers needing to make a change. David and Renee are themselves young, energetic dance professionals, and they bring in so many incredible teachers and professionals for their studio.

I have been coming to Premier Dance Arts since they opened and can confidently say it is one of the best studios I have been to. The owners who are professional dancers themselves are amazing and make you feel right at home. So many different styles are offered here including Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Pas De Deux, Jazz, K-Pop, Salsa, Stiletto Heels, etc. You can train in a little bit of everything and they offer a wide variety of levels from beginner to pre-professional which I love! They also offer free trial classes so you can come to take a class and get a feel for the studio before you make a decision. The faculty and community here are 100% committed to their passion for the arts. If you're looking for a dance studio that provides a nourishing environment while also offering excellent dance training you are in the right place!

I just adore this ballet studio. The owners: Ms Renee and Mr David are so sweet and encouraging. They’ve definitely helped me improve my technique while still making class fun and keeping everyone enthusiastic about being there. Amazing school! Renee and David are amazing at what they do and have helped me so much throughout my dance journey. They are very experienced so they have an abundance of knowledge ready for anyone who either is starting out or are a professional. They create an inspiring environment which makes anyone want to be the best dancer they can be. Even the studio space makes you inspired with its large marley floors and live piano accompaniment. My daughter has danced with the owners Renee’ and David for nearly 10 years. We are so excited that they have their own beautiful studio! We have spent 13+ years in the dance world and have never had instructors with the level of care, knowledge and professionalism as these two. They create a balance of encouragement and correction that helps students improve and grow as dancers and people. Truly a studio for all levels as I even took my first ballet class in over 35 years and really enjoyed it! The studio is a wonderful space with great light and even piano accompaniment for many classes.

This ballet studio is above and beyond…. Lovely and professional instructors/owners. Their approach to teaching my little one is a perfect blend of traditional, high standard ballet skills and freedom of expression. I look forward to a long relationship with this studio. On a personal note, I actually get to relax and decompress listening to the pianist on the baby grand piano! Beautiful studio and people! So grateful!! 5 starts aren’t enough!

This is an amazing new studio that offers state of the art training for all ages with very large dance rooms with professional sprung flooring/Marley, live piano for classical ballet, instruction from experienced professional dancers/teachers and even offers Pilates, yoga and much more! A spectacular studio for the whole family! Your ballet technique will definitely be taught properly and improve here. It is a perfect place to start for beginners as well.
