I’ve been going to Premier Fitness in Elk Grove for a while now, and it genuinely surprised me how good the experience has been. I’ve bounced around a lot of gyms over the years, but this one immediately felt different. The energy is positive without being overwhelming, the staff actually greet you like they remember you, and the place is kept clean in a way most gyms claim to do but rarely follow through on.

What really stood out to me is how well-maintained the equipment is. Nothing feels worn down or neglected. The free-weight area is organized, the machines are modern, and there’s plenty of space even during peak times. I never felt like I had to hover over someone just to get a turn, which is huge for me.

The community vibe is also something I wasn’t expecting. People here are friendly without being intrusive. You get the sense that everyone’s just trying to better themselves and respect each other’s space. It’s motivating without the pressure.

I’ve had a great experience overall, and I actually look forward to my workouts — which says a lot. If you’re considering a gym in Elk Grove, Premier Fitness is one of the best choices you can make.

Wasn’t going to leave a review BUT…..

Now that they want to use an overseas service to blow up my phone multiple times a day, they refreshed my memory. They called me at 5pm and I said I would never use them because they steal money after cancellation, please take me off your list….
3 1/2 hours later, here I am talking to them again

So here we are

When we canceled our membership, they proceeded to charge our account to the point where we had to dispute the charges, but they continued to lie and say “they never canceled” so the bank didn’t honor the dispute
It was about 6 months of service fees collected after we cancelled

We literally had to change bank accounts to stop this place from stealing our money.

When we went in, they just kept saying “we will have someone reach out”.

Asked the lady from overseas if she could help get our money back after she offered us a free tour and her answer was “I can set up a free tour and you can talk to someone”

Sure lady.
No thanks.

I love this gym! I just wish I knew it was a gym a 2 years ago. I used to go to Cal-Fit, but I dreaded going because it was always full. Premier Fitness feels like a home gym for me. Sammy, the owner is great! Robyn (sorry if I misspelled your name), is such a pleasant person to see when you first walk in, and Lilly is a sweetheart. I look forward to going everyday. Doesn’t get packed, even when it’s busy. I love spending time here. Gets my day started right. the bathroom is always clean too. Thank you to the whole team!

I’ve been going to this gym for a few years , i love the environment. It’s quiet , never too crowded. They offer fitness classes which is a nice change if you want more structure. Robin at the front desk is very friendly and has a warming smile when you walk in. The place is always decorated for the holiday coming up and it’s very nice to look at when walking in. I recommend this gym to everyone for an all around great workout experience.

Seriously considering joining this gym. I went to visit for a trial period and was very impressed with the state of the facility, the smaller personal touch and extremely helpful staff. Robin at the front desk was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly to not just me but others that were there as well on a very busy morning, all seemed very organized.

A quiet place that welcomes seniors. Some places have grunting bozos who make a show of dropping weights loudly etc. - none of that here! Some places are filthy and smell like a wall-to-wall armpit - none of that here! Some of the equipment is new, some is well-used but also well-maintained. While you may have an occasional cranky machine, you rarely find an out-and-out broken machine. Several people have mentioned the owner Sammy - he's an awesome guy, be sure to say hello! This is not a fancy dancy place, just an honest, safe, quiet, clean place to get some daily exercise. Did I mention they LIKE seniors?

Calling this place a joke is an insult to second-rate comedians and a disservice to every half-wit hack who ever stumbled on stage. I shelled out a year’s worth of cash in full. The transaction was something out of the Stone Age, with ink and carbon paper slips because, surprise, WiFi was down. Of course, it was.

The next day, I get an email with a copy of the contract. This gem includes a clause for a $39 “club enhancement fee” to be gouged out of me in 90 days. The “Annual Club Enhancement Fee” supposedly maintains a state-of-the-art environment, locks in membership rates, and includes two annual personal sessions. Yeah, sure.

Feast your eyes on the picture of the contract I received in the mail the next day.

I fired off an email to Premier, telling them in no uncertain terms that I do not agree to this fee and it wasn’t part of the original deal. A week passes, and surprise, no response. I went to the gym to find out what’s going on, and it was locked up tighter than a drum before 6. I tried to get in, but my badge was as useless as udders on bull.

This place is a complete circus run by a clown on a unicycle. I will dispute the payment with my bank and drag these crooks through the mud. The “enhancement fee” here buys you cobwebs on the windows, broken equipment, a mishmash of second-hand machines, broken urinals and toilet bowls, and a blinding headache.

The gym is quiet. The people who come here are focused on working out and not hanging out.

I needed a place to get my workouts in without working around groups of people just hanging out on machines and talking, and this gym fit that.

I also like the 24 hour aspect.

Anyone saying they're expensive is silly.

I am currently a member at this gym. I attend 5 days a week for a little over an hour at a time. This facility is very welcoming and friendly. There are many different types of equipment to use for any kind of workout and always feel comfortable and not judged by others around me while doing my workout. I would definitely reccomend this gym to anyone looking for a good environment to workout in.

Do not trust the bald owner or the receptionist I came in telling them I wanted to pay in cash because my bank was frozen and they were whispering to each other to make me sign up and buy it today. Not just that but they keep calling me and asking if I’d like to try the 7 day free trail.hell no I would not plus when I was in there taking the tour by the receptionist somebody records you while you’re working out haha worst gym ever no sauna no pool more expensive than 24 hour. Less privacy than 24 hour also because it is 5x smaller

Great Gym! Very low key gym, you can almost find every workout machine here. Friendly staff and very welcoming. I have been coming to this gym for the last four years and I have never been disappointed with the great service here. If you like to exercise openly and freely this is the place you want to exercise at.

I recently joined Premier Fitness and I actually really liked it! They have a big place with lots of equipment for different exercises, and it's not always super busy like some of the bigger gyms in town. They also have nice showers that are clean and nice for if you are fitting hitting the gym into a busy schedule. Overall, it's a great gym and the people working are always really nice and personable.

The owners of this place do not care about their members. Even when you try give suggestions on making this gym better the owners do not care. This gym needs to get rid of the old class instructors and replace them with new ones with new routines. One of the Zumba instructors there has the same boring songs/routines over and over. When i had asked him if he had any new songs and dance routines he had an attitude with me. So I recently left this place. Find a better gym folks! Also because I have heard the gym owner will call you and argue with you if you post a negative review about their gym. I concealed my real name to ensure I do not get any harassing phone calls from them.

In Elk Grove for a class. Called in advance and was told $5 per day to use gym. Used it on Wednesday and came back Thursday (walked to gym with phone, earbuds and a $5 bill) and was told it’s $10. Explained I paid $5 yesterday...”sorry”.....wow never again.

I had membership thru here for several years. I wanted to cancel my membership. Every time I call no one answers and it goes to voicemail and then it says voicemail is full you can hang up now. I finally got a hold of an administrator he said I needed to come and give cancelation in writing before my payment is due. I went there gave him my note asked him if I was going to be charged he said no you are all good to go. I left next thing I see on my bank account they charged me monthly due plus premium $39.99+$26. I called the owner said I had to give them 30 days notice to cancel as if I was renting. This is redicoulous and rip off. I would never go there again and refer any more family and friends.

I called this place and set up a deal over the phone and paid with my credit card, and spoke to a guy named Sammy and he told me that my card would be ready the next day when I went in, and so the next day when I went in. My card wasn't ready. The manager was gone and forget to leave memberships cards for potential new customer's. (not good)
Then when I went back the following day no one had anything ready and couldn't help me:( ... I got really frustrated and left. I was told that when the Manager "Sammy" came back everything would be fine but waited all day for someone to call me. No one ever called me back. I finally called back and got a hold of a front desk staff who didn't seem very attentive. When I went in , She wasn't even at the front desk. I don't think that these people really care about their client's. I also called in on Friday and asked just to cancel my membership and they told me that I would have to come in and sign paperwork just to leave but the thing is that I never signed paper work to even begin with?!?!

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who is serious about their fitness at all. This is not how you manage a gym.
