Been working with Kenny Rogers 3 days a week for 2 years. I'm 74 and wanted to get in better shape and lose some weight. Being a trainer, and nutritionist, Kenny fit the bill. I've lost weight, using his suggested diet, and gained the muscle I was looking for. He is a good listener, making adjustments to my routine depending on where I am at that day. Always enjoy good conversation and watching video clips of his 1.5 year old daughter. Good family man. Clean gym, lots of machines, friendly atmosphere. Best decision I've made in a long time.

I’ve been training with Kenny for over a year now. He’s a good dude and really knows his stuff. I have a physically demanding job that I need to be in good shape for, but as someone who has never really worked out much, I needed help from somebody to figure out how to navigate a gym. Kenny’s been the guy. He tailors workouts based on my job’s requirements, with a heavy focus on addressing past injuries and building resilience against future injuries. He’s also incredibly patient, teaching me the various exercises and taking the time to make sure I understand how to maintain good form. I’ve gotten a heck of a lot stronger over the past year, and better yet, Kenny managed to address some muscular imbalances I had with my knees and now I can run pain-free. I’m incredibly happy with the progress I’ve made working with Kenny.

I’ve had 30 sessions over 8 months with Kenny and they have been outstanding. I am 62 years old with multiple past sports injuries including shoulder (rotator cuff), hip (replacement), and ankle (posterior tib) and I wanted someone to help me focus on improving and maintaining strength in those areas. I can’t say enough here about his knowledge base, his work ethic, interpersonal skills, and true commitment to his work. He gives 100% of every minute to his clients. His programs are tailored to each clients needs. I have improved significantly under his training and recently completed multiple high-level endurance events (technical backpacking and cycling centuries), with improved strength and quick recovery time. Importantly, at my age, I have no injuries from these events, and none during the entire course of training with him. He is smart about how hard to train to achieve results and prevent injury. If you are serious about your fitness, you want a dedicated trainer, and you want results, you cannot go wrong with Kenny.

Kenny is literally the best personal trainer you can find in Bay Area. I’m a pretty experienced gym person I’d say, I never thought I need a personal trainer. I only found Kenny when I was recovering from a knee surgery. I was just surprised how much I can still learn from him. Now I’m fully recovered and am training on my own, but I still train with him every week because his training plan and tips keep helping me a lot. He clearly understands my goals, and his training plans give me improvement in a very sustainable way. One of his specialties is that he trains me with “weird” moves that focus on small and often ignored muscle groups, which gives me sustainable and injury free improvement.
I’m constantly shocked by his deep knowledge on weightlifting and gymnastics staff. Also since he trains all muscles in every possible way, it’s always so much fun.
Besides during the session, he also gives me workouts to train on my own, as well as nutrition consulting.

I live in Utah and have been using Kenny’s workouts for the past 8 weeks, since I’ve started using Kenny’s workout programs my back pain has decreased significantly. ( I broke it when I was 17, and got in a side by side accident in 2020) the program focused heavily on core exercises for stability in the beginning, which has made my day to day existence of sitting at work much more enjoyable. (Didn’t really realize how badly my back hurt till it didn’t.)
The next phase of the program focused on leg strength, which has helped my knee pain and hip pain significantly decrease. This has made doing all the outdoor activities I enjoy such as golf, basketball, and mountain biking more enjoyable.
The workouts are structured well, and ease you into the more difficult phases of the program, so you never feel like you’re going to over do it, while still feeling like you got a good workout in.
I’m excited to keep doing the program because of the progress I’ve made so far and I wish I could do the workouts with Kenny, although as I’ve already stated, I live in Utah so the program will have to suffice.

I worked with Kenny for nutrition coaching for my Ironman race. Kenny laid out a complete detailed nutrition plan for my race from pre-race to finish. I learned so much from him in such a short amount of time. Having little experience with properly fueling for endurance races I knew I was going to need help for my big upcoming race. I am forever grateful to Kenny, I successfully completed my goal of finishing the Ironman race along with his proper nutrition plan. I had a hip impingement that was preventing me from squatting. Ken assessed my movements and found the root cause of my hip impingement. He then developed a program specifically for my issue. After 1 month on his workout plan, not only was I back to squatting pain free, I developed better movement patterns and awareness. Highly recommend working with Ken to reach your fitness goals!

Kenny is a great fit for my overall health and fitness routine. I have always included some form of daily exercise, including mountain biking, wrestling, and boxing. In the past I never used a gym and never thought I would ever use a personal trainer. I now meet with Kenny two days per week at 5am. He takes me througth a whole body work out, mixing exercise routines that balance strength training, arobics and overall fitness. He is now stuck with me for the long haul. Progressive Strength is the best personal training service that I have ever been to. I don’t think any company comes close to getting you the results you need in the the timeframe you need to achieve them. I’ve been to too many trainers in the past in which the individual telling me how to attain results was in worse shape than me and didn’t have much knowledge in the trade. Kenny is a steward of his profession and has a wealth of knowledge that he’s developed from schooling and personal experience. For example, he accomplished doing 5,600ish pull-ups in 24 hours and only stopped to avoid injury. Thats the kind of man I want helping me, a guy that has drive and enjoys what he does. I used to hate going to the gym and would be dedicated for about a month and then stop going because life got in the way. I would get into this on and off cycle cycle but could never fall into an actual routine. Working out wasn’t enjoyable to me until I met Kenny. His professional demeanor and awesome personality is what made me fall in love with trying to better myself. He created a realistic plan for me and made it so that I could achieve my goals. He is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and goes out of his way for his clients. His prices are extremely affordable and I can’t recommend this company enough to anyone I know in the area. Kenny is the most educated personal trainer I have worked with. I had spinal stenosis in Jan of 2021 and worked with a physical therapist and after a few months she said I now need to get stronger. I came to try a class I was told was free. I had since found out I was charged for the class. There were attempts made to reach Kenny and resolve the matter. I am understanding Kenny is a business owner and moves around from fitness gyms.
Kenny, the owner of Progressive Strength, was unresponsive in our attempts to receive a refund for the class. I was told a class would be added to my passes as such. This never happened and as I understand it the expense was charged to a different trainer.
To this day I have never received any such contact from Kenny nor do I wish to moving forward. I meant to leave the matter as it was since moving and finding a good trainer. I was notified of flag by the business stating a different location. My experience was getting refunded from Kenny over payment.

I trained with Kenny for a little over a year, while I was based in the South Bay. Kenny is a deeply knowledgeable and personable coach, and an absolute pleasure to train with.
Kenny helped me dial in my weight training - identifying weaker muscle groups, shore them up with targeted assistance exercises, as well as train safely while recovering from an injury. He also provided helpful feedback on form, so I wouldn’t injure myself training.
I also benefited from his expertise in nutrition and the exercise plans for when I was training on my own.

Kenny is the one of the best trainers in the area! I have worked with Kenny for over a year, and there are a few things that really set him apart from other trainers.
1. He keeps working out intense and fun. He is prepared for the routine, he is always observing and adjusting the intensity such that it is the right mix of pushing you and confidence building.
2. He is well qualified in his field (education) and has studied extensively. I have yet to come across a topic that he has not studied or has experience with. Strength training, nutrition, injury prevention or injury recovery techniques, stretching techniques for problem areas, fasting techniques are just some of the topics I have discussed with him and gotten incredible guidance from him. If you have a goal like climbing Mt Whitney, triathalons, hiking, skiing etc or any other fitness goal, you can trust him to train you for it well.
3. Fantastic communicator and professional about all aspects ranging from explaining workouts, to scheduling to being flexible about timings, and he also follows up via text to see how you are doing (icing on cake).
4. He is wonderful human being, and a great personality. I wish there were more Kenny's in the world.
I wish him the absolute best and hope his business thrives so that many more can benefit from his expertise, skill and warm personality.

Kenny has been training me for a few months. I knew I needed to get back in shape, and needed someone to motivate me who understood my goals, and how to achieve them. He has excellent knowledge and has created perfect workouts that push me, but don’t break me. He is excellent about follow up to see how I feel after workouts and tracks my progress. The facility has a diverse amount of equipment, is clean, and everyone is friendly and respectful. I see other people in their 70s, teens, and everything in between coming to train and the environment is great. I highly recommend Kenny if you want a friendly, personable trainer who will also push you to make your training sessions worthwhile.
